Reviews:
Best of the free iTunes comics so far By: mattmchugh.com - Jan 13, 2009 Version: 1.0 There are a handful of free comic ebooks available on iTunes, most developed by iVerse Media. "Atomic Robo," published by Red5 Comics, is the best so far. It has a nice tongue-in-cheek vibe and the art is good... reminds me a lot of "Hellboy" on both scores. It's a short, introductory issue, but it leaves you wanting more... just right for a free sample. The iVerse Media reader is pretty basic. Turns pages... that's about it. I'd like to see some more features (thumbnails, zoom, jump to page/section, etc.) but it does the job adequately. It will be interesting to see how things develope as more comic become available for the iPhone.
