Great Update! By: Video Beagle - Oct 6, 2010 Version: 2.1 With the 2.1 update, Bookman has edged nearer to being the perfect CBR/CBZ reader AND PDF reader for the iPad.Many of the issues I had with the previous version have been addressed. There's now a global page layout setting, which was a major thing I wanted. It seems to apply only to files added AFTER the update, so the ones on previously still have the old setting.PDF's now have text searching. It looks like it only goes from the page you're on, forward. It'd be nice if it could be set to do that, or to do the full book.Only 2 other suggestions I'd like to see: 1) Easier navigation between shelves, like getting from a main shelf to a sub shelf, It'd be nice if that could be done in Shelf view, rather than the edit window.2) Being able to add books to the shelf-folders in the iTunes App tab. (This might be a limitation of Apples, but it'd be awesome if you could do it that way).Still, awesome program and a steal at 10x's the price!
Bookman 2.0 By: Narainda - Sep 4, 2010 Version: 2.0 The version 2.0 is wonderful. Lot of intuitive interface elements and display features. Congratulations!!!! But a couple of setbacks. The single-page mode in landscape (horizontal) orientation was one of the best features I liked because it allowed the perfect magnification and locking of the single page. Please give me back the single-page mode in landscape (horizontal) orientation, preferably with vertical scrolling. It was so useful.By the way, with buffering, flipping the pages was faster in the earlier version. Can we get that speed back? These two made the Bookman app the best of all. Please fix it. I greatly appreciate your efforts. Bookman is THE Best.RegardsNarayanan. M
Wow By: Jodorowsky - Sep 1, 2010 Version: 2.0 Creator took his sweet time, but created a really polished experience this time! Transitions between pages, brightness controls, tagging, bookmarking, wide range of customization, great full feature landscape modes absolutely everything is professionally looking and worth paging for. He didn't take the easy route and simplified some modes leaving you with no choices that some readers may need. Not as speedy as his last version but that's good because his last version when you wanted to turn a page it tuned 8 pages because of how fast it was! I'm not kidding. The things I might fix for the next version are:Some thumbnails and comic pages seem a bit low res.Tagging works well but I would like to see all my comics in my library as well as my collections, seems to me you have to make a new bookshelf for every collection you have and you can't see it in your main library only your slide bar, I heard that so the app loads faster so I don't know if it's possible with decent performance. Overall a must download!
Awesome - very fast By: Toomanybarts - May 8, 2010 Version: 1.1 Don't know what the other reviewer's on about, this is better than goodreader and I have both. Also, for the recent reviewer that doesnt know how to return to his list of books, theres a help file in the app - its the "welcome to Bookman" book. (FYI tap the top of the screen to return to your list of books.)Best part about this app is it's speed - awesome. Reading on goodreader is horrible as there's a delay as you turn pages, Bookman is super fast, great job on this guys, I would've paid!Havent been able to try the cbz reading yet.One thing the app needs is a bookmarking feature.
Very Nice By: Sheldor The Conqueror - 28-Oct-2010 Version: 2.1 Just had to say. This is pretty much everything I need in a PDF Viewer: double page views, folders, fast page turns etc. FastPDF was my default, but it's just too buggy still. Bookman is surprisingly stable with even the largest files. Coupled with the FTP server and the gorgeous book shelf format, Bookman goes straight in at Number 1 for me.Did I mention... it's also FREE!I would easily pay £3 for this. Don't be fooled into thinking it's limited because it's free, it's not. I don't know how they do it but this is a premium PDF reader and possibly the best stand alone reader on the app store.
Pretty nice PDF reader By: deathybrs - May 10, 2010 Version: 1.1 Bookman is a pretty decent PDF reader, especially for the price. I really love the library view and the pages view for going to a specific page of the book.Pros:Library view shows your covers, making it easier to select the book you're looking for.Pages view shows a thumbnail of each page which can be helpful in moving around in your document.Rendering of the pages themselves seems pretty fast.Library is sorted alphabetically.Cons:Can be a little slow to load thumbnails.Scrolling through a large library or a page view of a book with a lot of pages tends to not move smoothly.Does not remember and return to the last page of the book you were on.Landscape PDFs get squished into a portrait layout, even when holding the iPad in landscape.Well worth a look!
Nice PDF reader By: TAZMASTERFLASH - May 4, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 I think this is a great pdf reader, once you get the hang of tapping the bottom right side of the screen to go forward a page, bottom left side to go back a page, middle of the screen to go to the index, and top of the screen to close. From the included instructions it isn't obvious but most will figure it out quickly. It takes a little bit of time to load all the pages the first time you open a pdf but after that any time you go back to one you have previously opened all the pages will be loaded instantly. The index system makes it easy to jump to a page by number or by looking at the thumbnail size of the page. It works well unless you have a really large pdf and want to get to the last pages quick. I also like the diplay of all your loaded pdf's displayed by name and a thumbnail of the first page. Overall it is a very capable pdf reader, and can't be beat for the price.
Fantastic app...has the potential of outdoing all By: Sounak - 25-Jul-2010 Version: 1.3 This is the best all-in-one ebook solution I have found for the iPad.It reads PDF, CBR and text files, which is all I need. The organizing of the books in folders, with a Thumbnail view, makes it all the more better. To top it up, the live preview of pages! However, I have one concern, which is why I sometimes resort to other readers. The text quality in the PDF files, are certainly below par. Compare it to GoodReader or iBooks. Some are unreadable.Obviously, this problem can destroy an otherwise complete software.I request the developers to address this issue asap, and you have my word, that this will be the Top app in the AppStore for ebook reading.
Best free document reading app By: sickfoot - Oct 27, 2010 Version: 2.1 especially on PDF. The performance on PDF is amazing. Double page browsing mode is really useful too.

Some bugs to fix... By: Marsianin - Sep 16, 2010 Version: 2.0.1 It's seems a best app to view PDF's on iPad but there are some bugs here:1. A lot of bugs when creating folders and moving pdf's there. Some time I need to restart application to see my new folders and changes.2. I have a lot of PDF's that appears as blank pages but works fine on PC (it's not only Bookman problem)3. Need folders to appear in main library as folders...

Great update! By: Chris from LA - Sep 1, 2010 Version: 2.0 Now we're talking! Bookman has come into it's own with this update. It has bookshelf, file name editing, reordering, new customization features, and is snappier than ever. It had been sitting on my iPad unused for a couple months but now may be my new default comic and magazine viewer! Great job guys! If I think of anything to make it better (maybe ePub support?) I'll let you know! Great update!
A must have! By: kingofzombies - Sep 1, 2010 Version: 2.0 Works great for PDFs and cbrs. Nice new lay out! Thank you!!!!
