The new tagging feature makes this excellent cbr and cbz even better--and you can't beat the price.Tagging is a much better solution to organizing documents than the folders I (and others) asked for. The advantage of tags is that the same document can have multiple tags without a problem. So, for instance, I can look under "19th Century Lit" or "Science Fiction" to find _The War of the Worlds_ -- with folders, I'd be stuck using one or the other.There are still two features I'd love:1) The ability to download new documents from any web page (for now, it only downloads from one hardcoded web page).2) The ability to rename your documents.But it works fantastically well for me as it is, and you can't beat the price ;-)

I have never written a review for an app before but felt that this app deserved it. I have been looking for an app to read my comics on the iPad that would use the full screen. I have tried a bunch of apps and finally was about to pay the $7.99 for comiczeal when I found this app. It is as good as the Marvel Comics app and it is free! You can read your comics in FULL screen and zoom with out distorting. The page turning is flawless and you can move around on the screen in zoom effortlessly! It is great for large PDF files also! I can download my books and everything to this app with no problem. I recomend this app for anyone who needs to download pdf and cbr files to your iPad. It rocks!!!!!!

The new tag function is an amazing update to the already outstanding app. It is a simple and efficient way to create folder organization without having to do actual "moves" of files. It is a really brilliant solution.The only one minor update I would like to see is for the next page to reorient against the top edge of the page when it is larger than the size of the screen. Other than that, this is the definitive imager viewer out here in the app store.

This app is such an incredible PDF/CBZ/CBR reader. Using the iPad as an reader of those files is the main reason I bought the device. I was prepared to pay up to 15 dollars for a good app, but I can't believe how quality this is for free. You must try this app before buying anything. The latest update's icon is really nicer looking. Also, the tagging feature was the only thing the app was lacking. I now have separate sections for books, programming books, and comic books. And its easy as heck to switch between them. Better than a long list of titles. Yayyyyyyyyyy.

I've commented on this app before, but now i am writing a review for the newest version. I must say it is absolutely amazing! The only major gripe I had in the beginning was it didn't center pages and some of the next page would show throwing the experience off just a tad bit, but with this new update it has been fixed and is THE BEST PDF READER FOR YOUR IPAD!!! It handles all types of files, and works perfectly! I am a college student and a lot of my teachers put review sheets and notes in pdf format and now i can easily carry them with me without having to carry around a heavy laptop. Also, I am a gamer and use IGN E-guides a lot and it helps not having a book and pages all over the floor. Only thing i would suggest in the next update is the ability to word search. That would help a lot! Overall though I would give this app a 10 out of 5! Yes, it is that good! Also, it's FREE!!!! which is the best part about the app!!

...for keeping this app free. It works fine without a hitch. I wish there was a way to put my comics in folders. I have to scroll all the way down to get to Spawn. All good, it's free so I can't complain. Keep up the good work! Oh I forgot to mention one more thing. I know the update centers each page and darkens the adjacent pages but I would rather see the adjacent pages blacked out. It's easier to read the current page when the borders are completely black.

What a great app. For free there's nothing else like it in the iPad app market as of now. It also looks like these developers are actively putting out updates. Just one thing: theres no file system or way of organizing all the comics you load up. So if you have 200 comics loaded (like I have) and you read the 161st comic and close it to read the next, you have to scroll through all 161 comics each time you want to get to the next comic.If they could set up a folder system that would make organizing much better and eliminate the awkward scrolling hassle. Thanks!

Effective PDF and Comic reader

Perfect *free* reader for users that just want to copy and read some PDF or CBR files on their iPad. There are no super fancy features, just a good basic reader. Performance is excellent and the app exhibits no lag while paging through book sized PDFs. One feature I'd like to see added in the future is the ability to organize your bookshelf into subfolders, but I'd assume that's probably already on the to-do list. Until there's a better free PDF reader this is on my list of must-have iPad apps.

there's a lot of comic, pdf, etc apps out there.. i cant say a whole lot about the other ones, but this one does the job, and it's free! i have a lot of Comics in a CBZ format, and this one opens them just as I wish, you follow the instructions and it isnt that hard. Some reviews do have their reasons not to like it, like renaming files.. using Comic cover as an icon like viewer.. you don't get that in this app, but the bottomline is, this does the job! I thought the content is all it matters.. and are we really comparing this to a ComicZeal? yes it might be better, maybe? but its 8 dollars more.. or Marvel Comic's 1.99 per comic? you get what you pay for! and in this case, your free penny goes a long way! thank you!

Simple, FAST, Free. That should be repeated. Simple, FAST, Free.It's simple and elegant. Zooming, flipping pages, etc. is plain and simple. It reads a lot of formats. It's FREAKISHLY fast at flipping through files (CBR, CBZ, PDF, anything) compared to other viewers.The author appears to be an incredibly nice guy (read is blog, website, and twitter feeds), who has been dutifully fixing bugs and making small improvements. What more could you want?1.05 has been submitted to Apple for about a week now which will fix the CBR ordering bug, which is my only current complaint with this software. Great.

I regret I paid for other comic reader apps... Because this is far better, simpler and well designed. Though, I wish there was an option to resize the images automatically to fit the screen (seems like the biggest image determines the resizing scale for all images at first). Also please add an option to read comics from right to left: some manga have 'double pages' inside one image, and the reading starts from the right side. Thanks! :) I'm a fan!

Just uploaded a batch of large format comics and love the app. This has become my comic reader of choice.I'd like to see a way to further adjust the images on poor quality .cbz and .cbr files so that they "pop" a bit like the new comics do. Maybe some built-in moire removal or sharpness and levels control, with custom saved settings?The file list needs folders, and the ability to rename.Connecting to the iPad is fine, how about being able to connect to other servers from the iPad?Thanks for the great app!

This is one of the best free PDF reader apps out there. I have loads and loads of PDF stored in my laptop and using this app I was able to copy all of them to my iPad. The interface is very good. You can move over to next page just by a tap. I am very happy with the app. My only problem is that it's bit difficult to find a doc because you have to read the titles to find one. Had there been a cover view for each stored document this app will be a killer.

The latest update today introduced additional format support (namely, rar files) and brightness control, making the already amazing free app even better. I wish there is an option to control the flow of the images though. Take manga for example, where the traditional flow is from right to left. The option to change how the flow of the image works (say swipe from left to right now show you the next page instead of the previous page) would be great. I would also love the option to hide the edge of next page. This can be distracting at times.

This is a very good application to use as pdf reader. It remebers where did you leave the file, has no issues opening large pdf files, can be zoomed, put in portrait and landscape mode, the file (in the last atualization) can be sent via Wifi or USB, and it's free.Some extra functions would transfer it in a perfect indispensable application, such as:- be able to organize your files in folders inside the programs (specially when having many pdf files, we fould organize them by subject in folders and have the iPad as a pdf library);- be able to make footpage notes, or highlight words of the pdf, and be able to save the notes in the file;- be able to search inside the pdf file... This would be amazing, specially in big pdfs we keep for reference, such as manuals and cientific books.Some other features will be very welcome, like pdf edition, working links inside the pdf files (like the index that jump to the chapter in pdfs), but the 3 above mentioned would be awasome.I understand that is a free application, a lot of effort was put and what it does right now it does very well (and no other free app gave this up to tnis moment), so I rate this app 5 stars... Which doesnt mean there's no room for improvement.Keep up with the good work, developer! Thank you!

I wish I had found this app before I had spent money on all srots of other apps which, quit frankly, aren't as good as this.The One Issue (and it's not even an issue):-I'll get my one complaint out of the way: The rather plain and inelegant "Bookshelf Screen" which is what acts as the page selector for this app.The Best Bits:-Can open gigantic PDF pages with loads of heavy imagery. It flawlessly ran a 1500 page pdf that was loaded to the brim with high res images, supported zooming, and page swipe turning...and worked like a charm. The same PDF caused crashes and massive slowdowns on other more "premium" apps.-Much better than ComicReader Mobi for reading comics. Better page swiping, GREAT zooming (my one complaint with ComicReader Mobi), and better performance.-Totally outperforms the other pdf and comic reader apps. This definitely goes on the "Must Buy List.

Fairly ugly, no frills, no bells or whistles. Does virtually nothing that the other expensive readers do (I know, I own them too). But then again it does something the others don't do very well... Renders comics quickly in the native formats that you are likely to encounter.So, either spend a bunch of money on readers that have lots of bells and whistles that you don't really need, have a long conversion process or only support half of the formats you have OR save your money, sit down and read your comics with this app.

CloudReaders is remarkably simple. Sure, the icon is not going to be the highlight of your home screen. Sure, the interface is incredibly simple. But it does the job it needs to do: reading PDFs and viewing comic books/manga. Nothing more, nothing less.The only thing I would like to see added would be either an alphabetical sort or a way of reordering books in my bookshelf; very few iPhone apps have an Edit button in the upper right that don't let you reorder things.

I actually downloaded this because I was looking for a good PDF reader, and most of the other apps were either awful, or not free. This is a no-frills PDF reader that allows me to take my work documents with me, and has a simply, intuitive interface.The fact that it's also a solid comic book reader is a bonus feature, as far as I'm concerned, but it's a nice one. The comic reading interface is easy to use, and if it's not as flashy as the Marvel app, it's also still free, and works perfectly.

The simplest and best PDF and comic reader available.

I have tried a few PDF readers and none load large files as quickly as this does.For comics too it is great as it loads files without fuss.I found transferring items to be really easy too, literally just drag and drop them straight onto the iPad via File Sharing in iTunes.Interface is plain and simple but it makes up for it in speed and usability.Also you can tag files to make them easier to find.I am so pleased with it that I would have paid for this app!
