This app is amazing! Books that have fallen out if copyright are read aloud, streaming from the Internet. Quality of readers is good and they are enjoyable to listen too. Well worth $0.99.Suggestion for improvements:1. Put the titles in a long list, as telephone contacts are. That list allows the user to jump to letters of the alphabet, but also makes browsing easier.2. Include a synopsis of the text. Many of the texts are unknown to me, so it is unclear if I would enjoy the subject matter or not. I need a brief description of what the book is about.In summary, great app well worth it's cost. Thanks!

The audiobooks are read by volunteers, many whom have a skill of reading. The voices are most often pleasant and the variety of books is great! The only complaint I have is that it is difficult to browse through the titles.

This app is great..........in theory. It's great that you can potentially listen to hundreds of free audibooks but.......the problems: If you listen on the iphone, once your phone goes to sleep - the app shuts down. Yes, I could just set the phone to not go to sleep but I wanted to use this app while doing the boring cardio of my work-out. If you put it in your pocket while walking/jogging and it's on - it switches function due to friction. Also, you have to restart the app as each chapter ends - there is no "flow" to the next chapter without interruption. The search feature requires too many steps and you can't simply browse titles in alphabetical order. If these quirks were fixed I would give it a 5 star rating.

Great idea but needs a bit of work

So far I haven't got to the end of a chapter without buffeting issues and then it cuts out but I'm unable to go back to the place the Reading got to as there is no facility to fast forward. This is a real shame as the quality of the reading is great. I have tried two versions of the same book and found the same problem on my iPod Touch.

On 2009-10-03, at 9:06 PM, I am so dissapointed. I am traveling & wanted to be read some classics & some new ones. Just as I would get into each chapter of any book I'd Try to listen to, I would be disconnected. Sooo dissapointed, I did have full connection with 4 bars on Hwy 5 from Portland-Seattle. ;-( lost that buck. I deleated the app out of frustration.Hi Tammy,Did you loose your edge connection? I'm going to be adding a pre-downloading feature that should solve the problem of listening while off the network.

No download option a real problem

This app gives easy access to a huge variety of audiobooks - but only let's you stream live. This makes listening at various times in your day near impossible, and finding your spot difficult. Really dissapointing, even more so for a paid app, don't waste your time on this one.

What a rip off. This app did not work at all. I did a better job downloading the Audiobooks from Gutenberg myself. Don't waste your money.
