Reviews:
Excellent! By: Forgetful Lena - Nov 2, 2008 Version: 1.0 The Wizard of Oz manga is awesome, and I LOVE how you're starting off the first issues as being free. The comic collection on my iphone from you guys is growing every day. :) This has the manga has mostly one to two frames per screen. Only thing that bothered me about it was that you had to have the iphone in landscape mode and couldn't read with it upright. But it's understandable, considering the size of some of the pages. I love this adaptation and it reminds me of the fond memories of watching the Wizard of Oz anime. I love seeing different versions of the Wizard of Oz, and this one is pretty neat!
A Strong Start By: MisterGoodman - Dec 12, 2008 Version: 1.0 Being a manga adaptation the story starts out in black and white, but when Dorothy reaches Oz, everything is... black and white. Heh. Actually visually this comic is actually pretty snazzy. Personally, I never understood the point of comicbook adaptations of novels, but there have been a few good ones, and this looks pretty promising if you're an Oz fan. This issue ends shortly after Dorothy first arrives in the land of the Munchkins.
★★★★☆ By: 6effrey - Nov 1, 2008 Version: 1.0 Good to see more comics coming to iPhone. I appreciate the free trial issues. Unless the low $.99 price of the 2nd issues include the subsequent issues of a series, I don't see buying them. I wish, too, these were compatible with a universal comic reader such as the excellent ComicZeal app, which converts standard .cbr and .cbz format comics easily found on the internet. No reason to fill the springboard with icons for single issues. I realize these comics have page transitions like the iPhone photo viewer has, but basically they are traditional paper comics (not a bad thing), so no reason not to use a universal comic reader.
As far as the story and art - pretty cool. Lots of zip-a-tone!
I'd pay for the others! By: SamMcglone101 - 01-Feb-2009 Version: 1.0 Awesome. I'd definately pay 59p for another episode!
Amazing! By: Andys2992 - 28-Dec-2008 Version: 1.0 Absolutely amazing! Very well drawn, easy to use, story is perfectly told and was free. I came looking for some free manga and that was exactly what I got. Only downside is that it was a little bit short and ended just as I was getting stuck right in to it. But overall fantastic! Well worth Reading.
Excellent! By: Chunlichan - Aug 22, 2009 Version: 1.0 I loved the manga so much I bought the paperback version! This is so true to the book, which is great! The manga reader is also easy to use and has some fun options.
