Great idea marred by a few silly oversights

The images are great, the dresses and other dress up items are plentiful, and it includes all the major Disney princesses. Thats the good news.The bad news is that there are a number of oversights that make this app good but not great.1. There is no way to "reset" a page after adding dresses and other clothing2. The clothing items don't "snap" to the body part in question, make placement tough for younger kids.3. The chosen dress doesn't show up in the next view (a closeup) where you can place hats, crowns, and necklaces.4. Items can get "stuck" on the left side of the page where they cannot be removed.5. There should be a quick way to change to a different princess without going to the cumbersome menu.Good app, but my daughter repeatedly asks me "How I put a crown and dress on at the same time?"

My 2 and 5 year old absolutely love this app. Dressing up the princesses is, not surprisingly, a big hit with them. This is a high quality app, consistent with the polish and appeal of the other Disney Digital Books offerings. The graphics are lovely and there is a nice selection of clothes to play dress-up with. I have found a couple of issues. I really wish there were a way to "reset" the app - my kids will get out lots and lots of dresses and put them all over the screen, but there is no way to get rid of them and start over aside from removing each one individually by dragging to the left hand side of the screen. Some of the items can then get "stuck" on the left hand side of the screen. You can still see them there, underneath the items you can use, but there is no way to move or remove them. Also, while the feature allowing you to use an actual photo to substitute for the face of one of the princesses works well, there is no way to reset that either. Once you have chosen to use a photo, the only option I can find is to use another photo. There is no way to go back to the original princesses. The solution for both of these problems is to delete and reinstall the app, but that is obviously not ideal. The other thing I find odd is that after putting a dress on a princess, the next screen for adding jewelry, hats, etc., does not show her in the dress you've picked. It's a bit inconsistent and actually bothered my 2 year old, who ends up mainly staying on the pages that allow you to pick a dress.These are quibbles, though. Overall, my children love the app and that's who it is for. I would have submitted these concerns at the support site, but the link here just goes to the main Disney Digital Books page, and I can't find any contact info for submitting bugs. Hopefully some of these issues can be fixed in an update, and then this will be a 5 star app.

Yes you can get back to the original princesses. Go to the options and turn off the use your photo switch.

Purchased this for my 3yo Princess fanatic. Haven't had her play with it yet, but some feedback from my two minute experience:- the outfits do not "lock" into place on the body. For a younger reader with a perfectionist bent, this might be frustrating.- the outfits don't fit on all the princesses. Some of the body/undergarments peek out on some princesses with certain outfits.My kid might not care as much about these things, and for a couple of bucks, this will definitely keep her preoccupied for a bit. The photo face substitution is cute too.More Princess apps would be nice! I know there's definitely a market (she says as she shells out another wad of bucks for a pink tulle dress up outfit).

I really expected more from this. My daughter loves the Disney princesses and I expected this to occupy her for hours, that I'd have to pry the device from her hands. Not so much. Not a huge investment but lacking for sure.

Not worth 1.99 in my opinion. It's a cute app but the dresses don't fit every character well and each princess has the same choices. Plus once you dress your princess it does a close up to put a necklace and crown on but it doesn't ever show you the finished product. My 3 yr old was disappointed in that part. She wanted to see her princess. If they add updates with some more content this could be really neat...but should only be .99!

Has far too many limitations and not a good app. Can't clear out the pics to start from scratch, can't see entire character dressed up, no final pic of all characters and can only have one picture of self. Until they make these improvements I wouldn't recommend.

I guess I shouldn't expect too much for $1.99, but this app seems a little "light". There's one story page each for Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmin, and Snow White. Each princess has a dress up page too: one full body (dress and gloves) and one head and shoulders (for crowns and jewelry). For some reason they never show you your whole princess after you're done.

You can't dress the princesses in a dress and hat and jewelry at the same time. And how do you erase what you've done and start over? Very average app and not as good as other dress-up apps. But you have to have it because it's Disney. Too bad the company is not more concerned with the quality of it's products.

My 3 year old loves disney princess, so this was a must. But what a dud of an app. Like others have said--it should be free. You can put on a dress, necklace, and hat. That's it. And it doesn't lay on it automatically like the princess sticker app. So it requires a bit too much fine motor for my girl. And the worst part of it is that some kind of commercial or email or facebook page keeps popping up instead. My daughter has to give it to me to get out of it and i am not even sue how to get out of it. Please make a better one.
