I think this is a neat application. I read 3 chapters in a book in such a short time and you can adjust the speed of the words. I have been trying to read faster and I think this will help me do that.

Don't get simian this is the best SR out there. Pls upgrade soon! If you could add a pause after period (1,2,3 sec) this would be a must have app!!!

Not sure what previous reviews were all about. If you have a text file to upload it works like a charm!! Development responded to email questions promptly and courteously. Highly reccomended.Would be nice to see pause for large words and punctuation and simpler methods of adding text (copy paste or sync with MobileMe).

If this program had "chunking"-- that is, the ability to display multiple words simultaneously, with the smarts to know that small, common words "count" for less-- it would be top notch.
As it stands, it's hard to take a one-word-at-a-time application all that seriously, given how capable most other speedreaders for other platforms are.

Strong beginning to an app

The basic functionality is there, but the UI needs tweaking. I'd prefer it if the WPM bar was on the main screen, and I believe that you'd do well to allow for multiple words to be displayed at once. I've seen similar programs reporting success with advanced readers grocking two or three words per page at high WPM. Thanks for a very useful application!

It's a good App, but very buggy still

I would give this a higher star rating but the app is buggy where you are reading along and all the sudden it pops into a black screen. The only way you can get out of it is hit the home button and return to the app. It does remember where you left off so you don't lose your place. I tried using the wireless access part of the program and had no success, I will try it at home to see if I can get any better results. Please fix the black screen bug, other than that its works as promised.

This app hasent worked since the upgrade I do not recommend buying it until it's fixed

Update: 8/24/09Tried to upload an user created txt. Crashed immediately. Does not work. No response from support. No solution. Avoid. Basic speed reader with a decent file loader (aside from being the only speed reader that is actually has an update). A full 5 stars if the program has the ability to slow down on large words, quick pause after a period/sentence and option to remove empty words (a, the).
