And so I am the annoying one at parties that speaks with an evangelical zeal about how fantastic iPhones are. I am also a teacher and our school has a no using a mobile phone policy at school. Well I have several apps that I use in class as special rewards and now I have this one too! The students in class love it, they all fight for chance to turn pages and especially they love the chance to touch the animals to hear responces. Principal walked in on me to find 8 students mesmerised by this story and it was real funny becuase he would not have dared asked me to put phone away incase the rath cometh from so many new and 'young' zealeots of the iPhone. It is so not just a phone!

Audio needs to be redone

I'm giving this 5 stars because the concept is great. However the audio was read by a little girl who sounds about 4, and her pronunciation of many words is terrible. She also misses some words and it was obviously recorded in many parts because the timing and speed seems very random. Read this to your child, don't encourage them to listen to the audio. Other apps your young ones might like are "bee book" "dress Chica" "colorama" and "shape builder"

Fantastic virtual story book. Don't hesitate - buy it!

This is fantastic. As we are trying to teach our son Spanish, we are always on the lookout for age-appropriate books for him (he's 3). Spanish only or Spanish-English
books for preschoolers are very hard to find in the US so this fills the gap. This one is wonderful. I am so glad that the reading and the text are in Spanish (as well as
English!). My son loves that he can touch the characters and they make noises. Please make more of these! I'll buy as many as you can make! Great work!

This is the best animated childrens story out there right now. Both of my kids LOVE it and so do I. I really wish they made many, many more stories. Hopefully they make a series of them and I would be a definite repeat customer if they could all be this well done. The little extras are great: multiple languages, read by yourself or listen (to a really fantastic young female narrator), little noises when you touch a character, and truly adorable illustrations.

Amazing how you can spend $.99 on bikini apps or you can actually do something useful and buy an educational app that brings you closer to your children! Although not fully animated this book is just what you would expect. Engaging narrator and fun stories. It's great how we found out that clicking on the charactors on the screen that they make noises, kids loved that. As a Spanish teacher I was happily surprised to see this app includes a Spanish narration as well all for the same price. Keep up the good work and hope to see more titles soon! Bien hecho.

These books are brill, my 2.1/2 yr old daughter loves it (I got it free !!!) if the other books measure up to this one I will have loads. Only have 8 gig phone but no odds you can leave them on pc till you want to change them + I do believe they help with reading as they use all the responders in the brain, maybe, def 2 of them. So all the 'the "this weeks free single is *rap", get out of these with out moving.

My kids (2.5 and 4) love the story, turning the pages and making the animals speak. Very cute application and the story telling is very good (had no issues with volume on the iPhone). The annimation is good, the colours bright and the kids easily recognised the characters.
I think some reviewers need a reality check, this is only 59p, try buying a book for that never mind one that is in 3 languages, reads to you and has annimation.

I scour Itunes constantly looking for narrated, animated books (shouldn't they be in a category on their own??!) and I think I have most of them. Well...The Little Red Hen is--hands down--the best out there. First off, it's animated...as in, the drawings have a bit of movement. Very cool. And then the voice in English is this extremely cute little girl's voice. Perfect. The page turns have a paper sound, and there's a little ding, every time you turn them. It's also in Cantonese (I don't understand it, but the voice sounds cute) and in Spanish (here, they kind of messed up...instead of a cute child's voice, they use a woman's voice.) Regardless, 10 points. My favorite kids app so far!! Congrats and please make more!! I'll buy them all...

Simple but brilliant

I can never be bothered to write reviews but felt inclined to with this app, it's such a simple way to aid kids and adults to learn a language. Narate and provide subtitles! Saying this, I couldn't find another program out there that did this for chinese in any of the dialects. At 59p this was a bargain, and the program was put together in an extremely high standard with animation and opportunity to interact with the animal characters(kids will love this feature, it's like an interactive book where the animals cluck, squeak and bark).
I only hope there are more of these titles on their way. Good job!

These little animated stories are charming, fun, and just brilliant. My 2 1/2 year old figured out how to turn the pages immediately and was absolutely captivated...she just loved it. The limited animation is clever, the sounds are fun and surprising for the little ones (although they could use a bit more smoothing out on the audio post /production side - my only tiny miniscule complaint). The stories are read to you by children themselves, in a very expressive and imaginative style that is very cute, and you can select to read the stories by yourself with no narration. I purchased both stories they have available, and would buy any future ones in a snap. Really great!

These little animated stories are charming, fun, and just brilliant. My 2 1/2 year old figured out how to turn the pages immediately and was absolutely captivated...she just loved it. The limited animation is clever, the sounds are fun and surprising for the little ones (although they could use a bit more smoothing out on the audio post /production side - my only tiny miniscule complaint). The stories are read to you by children themselves, in a very expressive and imaginative style that is very cute, and you can select to read the stories by yourself with no narration. I purchased both stories they have available, and would buy any future ones in a snap. Really great!

This is a great story, and my 18 month old kid loved it, very well presented, animations were gr8 and my kid loved the animal noises! Look forward to seeing many more books in the app store, as I willBe downloading them all!  10/10
