First off it's a really great app. Only thing I don't like is that if u press the menu button when ur logged on myspace or facebook then when u to bak ur still there in ur home page. Also add a progress bar of sum sort so u can know when a page is loading!!!!!!! Plz!!!!!!!!!!! Try to add something that safari doesn't have such as flash, or sumthing else. That would b a definate top 10!!!!!!! :-)

Wow, I just got BOLT. It's awesome! I can't believe it works really well on my iPod Touch. Google loads fast!
update : @sandy, why would you return the iphone? If you need help, try to talk to the smart guys at Genuis Bar at any local Apple store. They are amazing and very helpful!! Also, have you contact the tech support for BOLT? The link is provided at the bottom of the app description. They can also help you. They helped me with my work site. Now, I am accessing my work site from any client location. Really cool!!

I know the IE or Firefox mode is not fully compatible with all IE only websites, but it works for handful critical IE websites I go to. Although the IE compatibility is experimentational, I highly recommend it. BOLT is no doubt the only IE compatible browser on App Store.
Highly recommend it, if you are stuck with some IE websites you cannot visit, because you don't IE on iPhone or iPod.
update : The new bookmark manager works great! If you don't have it, get the update!

It should be called the IE browser.

I needed the IE browser for my iphone. I tried safari and other browsers. They didn't work with ie sites. My browser doesn't have to work with all IE sites. And, I really don't care about these technical jargons @TheParkFamily comments about.
What's important to me is BOLT works for me. It works on the sites that are important to me. Sure, it is not 100% compatible with IE. Who am I to complain if it works with my sites?

I was able to download BOLT when it was FREE! But I deleted it coz I wasnt impressed. Now,I stumbled again on this app after my boyfriend told me to check this out and I thought what I got before was just the 'lite' version. But man! This was the app I downloaded!!! And I am so pleased with the updates!! FYI PEOPLE: This app is a full-screen browser! Just shake it to untoggle the toolbars! Great aye?BOLT IS THE BEST!!! Freaking fast! And yeah,I cant wait for the next update!!! 

Saving Pictures in BOLT!!

Here is a trick I know to save any pictures when I use BOLT. 1) Open BOLT. 2) Open a web site. 3) Find a picture you like. 4) Double-tap on the picture to zoom in. 5) Press the Power button and the Home button together (the round button right below the screen). This takes a snapshot of the current screen and saves it in the photo album. And, I don't have to close BOLT. I can do this to take snapshots of any and all images I am looking at! It really works!! If you do it right, you will hear a camera click!

IE & Firefox Limited Compatible BOLT

First of all, no iphone or ipod touch web browsers are not compatible with Flash. So, until Apple gives us the flash compatible, we are out of luck.
Meantime, BOLT is the only way to view some IE only web sites. I said some websites, because these websites heavily use the IE tricks, no web browsers including mobile safari can open them up.
Now having said that, I am pretty happy with BOLT, because I can use it at my work sites!!
I am okay with few IE websites not openable with BOLT, because, without BOLT, I wouldn't be able to see any IE only websites. I would pay $5 for this granted access!
BUY, BUY, BUY!

It lets you visit some IE only web sites. These web sites cannot be viewed with Safari. Get BOLT, you can view them! Use the force (IE Poser mode).
Now, like Safari, Flash is not supported, so if you want to see a flash-based web site, you can't see it. Some IE restrictive websites, which have heavely ingrained the IE hacks, cannot be viewed. This is the fundamental limitation to the iphone OS itself.
But, if you want to see the IE restrictive websites, this may help you to see the web sites. Your miles may vary.
My recommendation is BUY.

The longer I use this browser the more I like it. It is fast and makes much better use if screen space than safari.i have never had problems with crashing or freezing. Also safari does not stop using memory after you stop using it but bolt completely closes with no memory leaks. Previous review: I really like this browser. You actually do have more screen space for viewing web pages and here's a great thing, it does not have the memory leak that Safari has! (If you have an app that shows how much space you have in your memory check it after using Safari. You'll be down to 5-6 mb but will still be in the 20s after using Bolt.) It is a huge drawback though that you can't save favorites and the reason it doesn't get five stars. I hope the next update fixes this.

Super fast!!! Starts up on Google's mobile search engine. -- I set my home page in google.com. I love it!! Perfect for a quick look-up when I don't care about history, bookmarks or tabs. Honestly, that's pretty much what I don't care about. I see myself using this more than Safari...
@banished: You cannot access a flash web site with iPhone or iPod Touch. It's not supported by these devices. If you are having a technical difficulty and you cannot figure out how to use BOLT, you should contact either contact the tech support or visit their website. The site has some helpful tips.
I contacted them earlier with the Internet Explorer mode because it couldn't access my work site in IE mode. They helped me out and thoroughly. I am now able to access my work site when I am on the road. As far as I know only BOLT does this. And, It works great! So, contact them.

BOLT surfs great! I browse few adult sites, and it deletes the history after. I don't care to keep any history after all.
Taking pictures? Well I get that by using BOLT as well. Just press Home and Power buttons like how others recommended, and I get my snapshots in any pages shown in BOLT. Those snapshots look great too.
Speed? Blisteringly fast. Tap BOLT icon. Wham! It's opened. Type few search words in the Google page. Wham! It's got the google search result fetched.
BOLT is really simple, and it's beauuutiful. I love the user interface.
I can't believe it has been downloaded 140,000 by people around the world, and it manages to keep its rating at 3 star overall by 1200 people? That is substantial.
Update: @PeterDum, turn off your iphone before putting it in your pocket. If not, you can always turn the sound effects off in Settings.

Recommend this purchase to anyone that needs to have a good browser. It worked better than any that were free, But the support is Phenomenal. I asked about the autofill that I saw on the screen and they went out of their way to help me find out how to use this. Besides this, they also showed me how to make a screen shot (this was to help them out). But I learned yet one more thing about the app and the touch. BUY THIS APP.

Between game plays, I use it to google game cheats and tips. I couldn't use other browsers, they just eat up a lot of RAM memory. I couldn't play my games after using them. So I had to reboot my iPhone 3G. But BOLT doesn't, so I use it all the time. It's really cool.
Update : @Mike, when reading Google News, wait until the page finishes loading. Then you can tap on each article link to get its content. If that doesn't work, reload the page and make sure it finishes loading. So don't tap on an article link before it finishes. This trick always work for me.

For those who couldn't figure it out, here are few hints. BOLT is pretty easy to use.
To bring back the navigation bar, just shake it. It brings the menu back.
When you tap a download link from few porn sites, it doesn't do anything? Mobile Safari has the same problem. Basically, you clicked on a link to download some flash file which is not supported on iPhone 3G or iPod Touch. Mobile Safari says downloading the file is not supported.

Update has a bug please fix

So i just updated to the new version of bolt and im useing it and at random while i turn my touch from corner to corner my browser moves up and i get a black bar of nothing under my tabs it seems to happon whether or not i have the poser on or off Please fix soon i use bolt all the time and this browser rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its wicked fast blows safari out of orbit This is the first bug i have encountered with bolt and i know they will be all over it like a fat kid at a buffet Worth the 2 bucks so BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY

This app rocks. I don't want to bore you with its awesomeness, so here are some things I would like to see in future updates. 1) Tabs: I recognize that this may change the RAM footprint, but in Safari, I had all tabs in use at all times. 2) Settings: I would like to see more options that can be changed. Perhaps for paranoids, something that allows you to delete cookies and cache. However, I personally like these things under the settings app, so that would be nice to see it there. 3) Bookmarks: I would like to be able to transfer my bookmarks from Safari to Bolt. This may be impossible because of Apple's retardation, so whatever. 4) Locks: It would be cool to be able to password-protect the bookmarks so that adult-oriented sites could be bookmarked and still be hidden. That's about it. Keep up the good work! --Bolt Convert

I save my pictures in BOLT without any problem. I press Home and Power buttons together when I want to capture the screen. A picture is then saved in Camera or Photo app. Try it. It really works.
Update : I use BOLT for all my browsing. For me, it is a fully feature web browser which find it very useful. Even the picture quality saved by the snapshot feature is good too. I don't know what else I would need. Totally satisified. The Brand New Bookmark manager is hands-down the best one I tried. A first-class fast browser.

This browser definitely loads pages quicker than Safari. I know the web kits are the same but for some reason this is quicker. Besides the nice full screen view with a beautiful user interface, I can open links and I can set a home page. I can send a page to Safari. I can also email a link. I do enjoy this browser, and eagerly await refinements.
UPDATE : The new features are really cool. I like the secured web access via HTTPS, and a number of bug fixes. The app is really improving. This browser is really getting better and more fun to use. 4 stars now.
