Just add ability to freeze panes in Excel By: Ph100 - Dec 1, 2009 Version: 2.0 I absolutely love this App.... And I am loving the Excel piece, Thanks. The only thing that is missing from Excel is the ability to freeze panes.... Please work on this next. This is a big one for meeting In addition to what I mentioned, here are some other things that I am looking for:- Ability to cut, copy, & paste pictures- Password protection on the App.- Excel to inclue freeze window panes- More bullet options like Word- Ability to scroll horizontal when I come to a spot on a vertical page without losing my spot.Overall, you guys are on track to be my favorite App with a little work. You are already on my home screen and you get 5-Stars from me.Thanks in advance for listening to my feedback and making these correctionsI am looking forward to more updates.. Keep up the great workPatrick
Does exactly as advertised (v 2) By: Coop61 - Nov 21, 2009 Version: 2.0 I don't understand any of the negative reviews on this application. I opted to save 3 bucks, so I bought Quickoffice first for $9.99. Let's just say it is buggy. I am working with their support folks now. DocsToGo has not crashed once on me yet. The desktop app works great, and I synched 250 Mb of files in minutes. The exchange synch worked fast also. Any of the reviews for slow exchange synch are probably from folks on EDGE connectivity. Many doc files that crashed Quickoffice when opening them work perfectly when opening them with this application. They open much faster on this application as well. This application seems more mature and stable to me than Quickoffice does. I wish I had spent the extra few bucks and bought this app first, as I am now out ten bucks for Quickoffice. The only thing Quickoffice has over this app is the ability to connect from any system on your wifi network using only a web browser. However, that isn't a huge advantage, as Quickoffice has no synch capabilities and you have to add files one by one to upload them. In this DocsToGo application, you can synch your whole docs folder as I did. The desktop synch application is free, installs easily, and works well for me. Basically, in comparing the two apps, this one is further along and works much better. It does what the developers say it does, and as of yet - NO CRASHES!! The Quickoffice app crashes left and right on me... Consider that before you opt to save 3 bucks as I did. At $12.99, this application is head and shoulders above Quickoffice. Do yourself a favor and buy this one.
Love this application By: Megabeth33 - Jan 2, 2010 Version: 3.0 I had this application on a different mobile phone and it was okay. I need an application like this for work and school. I have been goofing around with Docs to Go on my iPhone for about an hour now, and I love it!!! If you decide to purchase this app, I would suggest going straight to the DataViz website after purchase to check out the FAQ and getting started guide. The website walks you right through installation of the desktop software, syncing documents, pdfs, etc. I would have been fumbling around forever and totally disliking the app and the money I paid for it had I not started there.
Great Program By: Billy Cal - Jan 2, 2010 Version: 3.0 This program, from the king of Palm / Office connectivity, is a great program. Works extremely well. Sync works very well. Updates the desktop file after editing on the iPhone. Version 1.1 added Copy/Paste between all applications, pinch/zoom, full screen view and a number of other enhancements. Version 1.2 added the ability to email a document and adds more font control. Version 2.0 adds Excel editing. Now 3.0 add sGMail support and PowerPoint Editing. Great update to a great program.
5 stars By: kai_c - 04-Jul-2009 Version: 1.0 I have waited a long time for this application to be able to edit Word/Excel documents on my iPhone. Having owned previous versions for Palm, I can say that I'm pleased with the iPhone version. Realistically, I think few people are going to be using handheld devices exclusively as their Office application. For the user who just wants to make some adjustments to their Word files on the go, add some text during their train journey, etc. then this application is perfect. Even if you want to write huge blocks of text, the iPhone version is fine. All the basic operations are there (except font sizes!) and, having used it for a few weeks, it works very well! Yes, its a little disappointing not to have Excel editing right now, but hey, its coming soon. Exchange works fine, and hopefully, DataViz will incorporate MobileMe access very soon (ideally in time with Apple's iDisk application!). I recommend DocsToGo with 5 stars!
Great MS Exchange Support By: Chau UK - 25-Jul-2009 Version: 1.1.1 MS Exchange syncs perfectly for downloading attachments and editing content. Would be great if a future update could allow you to download attachments from other folders that are not just the Inbox.Seems like a new service called NuevaSync will allow DTG to sync with GMail via it's Exchange connection. Not tried it myself as it's a paid for service, as I am currently using this app to access my work email attachments. Can't wait for text format support (font selection / font size adjustment) within Word.Keep up with the great work!
The Business Class iPhone - DocumentsToGo with Microsoft Exchange By: appfreak US - Dec 13, 2009 Version: 2.1 The main screen is structured in a handy way. Firstly, it offers you to choose the location of your files. Local files for the ones not synchronized with your desktop, and Desktop files for the ones that are. This is helpful to know what you have to back up and track latest changes. In the Exchange version of the app, you'll get a section called "Attachments" that allows you to see the attachments in your Exchange account thanks to Active Sync. This is a deal breaker for the Business iPhone user. The capacity to see Exchange attachments in a nice and simple view, with the option to edit them a tap away, really makes this a powerful tool.It is not surprise that this is a popular app. It has never leaved the top 10 in the productivity category since it's debut. As a Mac user I use everyday Pages and PDF documents, and DocsToGo support their latest formats as well. It has a huge appeal and it fixes most of the problems that business users have with the iPhone. DataViz is a seasoned app and retails it's iPhone app at almost desktop version price. With their current track and updates brought to DocsToGo, I can recommend with confidence the Exchange version for business users and the normal one for home users.

Brilliant By: tipperd06 - 02-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0 With the new update adding excel this app has just become indispensable. Until now I have had to have both this app and Quickoffice on my iPhone because I love the UI of this app but needed excel from Quickoffice. That is no more. I have deleted Quickoffice from my iPhone. I would still like the ability to access files from iDisk and from MobileMe email accounts but hopefully they are in the pipeworks for future updates. Keep up the great work Dataviz and keep this updates coming.

Santa came thru!!!! By: Ahikanana - Jan 19, 2010 Version: 3.0 With the latest update around Christmas time I felt like Santa fulfilled my wish list! Thank you for making the horizontal bars disappear & for adding Excel & pdf functionality. It still could use a text finder for pdf files, which would save a lot of time skimming info. Excel could still be improved by 1) having frozen panes appear as frozen on the app, 2) support for graphs, as many others also commented, & 3) able to display comments, as I have several spreadsheets with important comments...ok #4 would be to be able to display/edit headers & footers, but this isn't as important as the other suggestions.Docs to Go has a one-up over the competition for being a speedy app that can handle large & heavy graphics/text files even with all its features. I previously complained about it syncing only via Wi-Fi, but after using it for a few months I admit it's really cool. For those who don't have a Wi-Fi router I recommend that you either get one or a portable Wi-Fi access point/router, which is a hot new item these days.
Very satisfied so far By: Came Back to DTG - Feb 2, 2010 Version: 3.0 I used to use docs to go on the Palm a few years back. Was reluctant to pay for it for the iPhone after reading some of the reviews here. But I took the leap and have not been disappointed! I do not understand any of the negative reviews. This product has completed what was missing from my iPhone experience and works as advertised. I can sync files from any location on my Mac back and forth with the iPhone. I can view and edit files on the iPhone. Setting up the Exchange integration was a breeze and now I can handle messages with attachments better than the native mail app does. Very satisfied so far!
Great, exactly what I was looking for! By: Charlie2000 - 21-Jun-2009 Version: 1.0 I love my iphone but it really bugged me that I couldn't do things on it that I'd done on my Treo 5 years ago! This program is perfect, or will be once the Excel update comes out. Exchange sync works flawlessly for me, no problems at all just set it up according to the instructions. I got this one instead of the $5 version because of the Exchange sync, wireless desktop sync seemed like too much trouble so I haven't installed it, no need to it's easier to just email the documents. The program is really easy to use, a little different from what I was used to but very intuitive. Now if some could just come up with an external keyboard I'd never have to carry my laptop :)

DTG with Exchange Attachments By: ColliPap - 23-Jun-2009 Version: 1.0 I was waiting for this product for some time as I use exchange at work and I was looking to office capabilities with the I-Phone. I don't have any previous DataViz products so I was very skeptic for this product based on previous reviews and problems reported with the exchange server. I was in for a real nice surprise. Purchased the product and added the exchange settings (exactly as I have on the I-Phone account) and worked like a charm. No work around or any other trick. It was straight forward for me. I use Exchange 2007 at work and I am not sure if this made the difference. No issues for the desktop syncing as well. I have set up two desktops on the DTG, one at work and one at home for my private files. At home I work through my router to connect wirelessly with my desktop and I did not have any issues at all as some have reported. I did not have the intention to write this review but with all the negative response I have seen through different blogs it looks unfair for a product that does exactly what it claims.

Its Works By: baburn - Jan 17, 2010 Version: 3.0 I never write reviews. I had to with this app. I have been a Palm guy for years. I switch to I phone and the first thing I needed was Docs to Go. I search all apps, read all reviews and could not decide. I took a chance on Docs to go because I use it with my Palm. I spent the $15.00 bucks and I love. It works great. As far as the other reviews I do not know why they are having problems. I use sheets and docs in my job and I wanted them to sync. I set it up in 15 minutes and it work great. Good Luck.
Amazing! By: Lojac1202 - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 3.0 This app is amazing and very convinient for a college student! I love it!! Except I was wondering if the makers or anyone else can tell me if I'm missing something. I have a gmail account and a microsoft exchange account and I want to use them at the same time on this app. I might have just missed something while i was setting it up. But will someone let me know if you're able to only use one account or that I just messed up. And if it turns out that you can only use one account can the makers possibly make it so it can allow more than one account??
