I love it. It's beautiful and it works great! I love the high-quality sound, jog wheel, volume boost, and new features. UPDATE – the book marks feature is awesome, as is the looping. I've been asking for these features, which are great for transcribing, since first buying iProRecorder. To get these features in a free update (on top of the previous free updates) is awesome, though I would have happily paid. I had to recently restore my iPhone from a recent back up and was delighted to discover my recordings were back as I hoped. Their support team is great too. They develop pro audio software and know their stuff.

Excellent product, not much more to say. Does what it says it does really well. Great job on the new features. Being able to loop audio playback is great for transcribing, and the book marks allow me to easily get to any reference point I want on the fly. It's also great because when you back up your iPhone, the recordings are also backed up. There are a bunch of recorders, but overall this is by far the best.

I have purchased 3 voice recorders and this one is by far the best. Ecopro is identical to the free version except you can send FTP files. I could only get it working for small test recordings, and crashed with a long recording. Quickvoice has 2 desktop apps to "allow you" to download your recordings, but for both need you to do a full itunes backup (not just a sync) and then they both crash when downloading large 50+ minute recordings. This app runs it's own webserver, it is like browsing mobileme with safari and you can download recordings as WAV files. It works wonderfully well over wifi. The UI, features and polish are also far greater than the competition.

Very rarely do I purchase apps from iTunes however I found myself conducting interviews for work and needed a reliable recording option. Great quality and very user friendly. Handy features such as the ability to send recordings via email. In addition, love the categories - as a busy entrepreneur I find myself constantly coming up with new ideas - iPro Recorder allows me to record these ideas, categorize them on the spot, and later use for idea building.

I've had this app for a while now, and it has worked very well for me. I got it before there were a million recorders out there, and at the time it seemed to be the best value for the $$$, and IMO the nicest looking/best put together recorder of them all. A few updates have even added more features - that's cool, to get more features after you've already spent the $$$ for something, it doesn't happen every day. Just the other day, a friend was trying to play back a recording made with another recorder, and no one at the table could hear it. I said I wished that he had used iProRecorder, since the volume booster would have made it audible to us all. Just my 2¢.

I was blown away at how clean the the audio was.

I lost my normal voice recorder and thought about checking out the apps on the iPhone to see if I could find a good replacement without having to buy a new voice recorder. This is where I ended up with the iProRecorder by Bias Inc. I have been working on a CD audio for a client and I needed a fast simple recording of an individual testimonial for the product that my client has been working on. Nothing complicated that needed a real recording studio.After downloading this app, and being very pleased with it after running a few tests, I took it with me and I was able to get the testimonials that I needed to finish my audio. I have been impressed with the functionality and the quality of my recording using only my iPhone. I easily imported the audio over to Soundbooth by Adobe and within a few minutes and some adjustments the audio was finished. I was amazed at how clean the sound was to begin with, as there was less filtering to do than usual. Quality of sound was amazingly excellent.This is a great recording app. It does more than what the others do and it does it better. I paid over a hundred and fifty dollars for my last audio recorder at the office supply store and here using my iPhone for only $5 I got a better over-all recording. If you need to record anything and you need it to be done right, I would highly recommend this app over all the others. This one simply does it easier, cleaner and better than all the rest. I am completely impressed.

I m glad I bought this app little but expenseve but never mind better than buying a recording device,iPhone 3g internal mic is good but I m using external mic bought it from eBay on £2.30 which goes v v well with this app,only one thing is missing it should start automatically recording when we hang up a call ,as other apps are giving this feature,but quality of sound recorded by this app is vvvv good than other apps :) waheed Rehman(north London)

I use Dragon Dictate and this is the perfect app for voice dictation. It creates high quality WAV files (the format that Dragon Dictate recognises) which trancribe accurately. I love that I can return to a recording and append further content to the file. This makes it very flexible to dictate long documents. The app has file great review features too.The file transfering complaints from earlier versions have been fully addressed. You can now transfer files quickly over a wireless network without any third party service. The app gives you an address to open in your browser and you right click to save the file. It also can now email the voice file as an attachment in the iPhone's native email application. Either way, it is fast and easy. With this app, my expensive stand-alone Sony voice recorder is officially retired. Highly recommended, especially if you use Dragon Dictate.

My experience: voice lessons for wife, group recitals 1.5 hours on low quality. I recorded notes while driving (iPhone on dash holder-Jag is quiet). I email my notes (spoken words) to my assistant. The actual recording stays on the iPhone until you erase it, regardless of it being uploaded, which enables you to email to different addresses latter. I use it about three times a week. My $600 Lanier recorder is now a paper weight.

AMAZING. Download it now! Negative reviews have incorrect information in them.

This AP is BETTER I could have imagined. As a comparison, I have had QuickVoice Recorder since it first came out. This application is SOOO much better. It is amazing! It is a better portable recording solution than I have ever had before. (1) Scrubbing audio with a wheel with real time audio feedback! (2) Boosting audio levels! (3) Live accurate levels while recording. (4) Beautiful interface. (5) Great sound.(6) Categories for recordings. (7) Immediately download from the phone to any web browser on the same network. You an be doing other things in the recorder while downloads are taking place. (7) Stamping recordings with information. (8) Adding images to recordings for visual reference. THIS IS THE BEST AP FROM A GREAT AUDIO COMPANY! Worth $30 to $50, so you will be happy with the $3 you spend on this. one. (NOTE: When you are downloading a recording from the phone, you do need to make sure you phone does not go to sleep while you are downloading. But one reviewer gave this one star because he thought the application was uploading to a Bias server. It is NOT. It is turning your PHONE into a temporary local web server, and even the WEB interface has a nice design and UI. This application ROCKS!

This app is by far the best recording app on iPhone even if you get a poor quality recording with this app you can increase the volume even higher but just be careful not to put it all the way up because it could jam your iPhone speakers i prefer reading the manuel of this before you begin to judge. I am very satisfied with this app I am welling to put money that they well eventually put in a update the wifi to computer but give it a break it just came out!! in the future this app well be number one.

iProRecorder looks great with an awesome feature list. It seems to have just about all the capabilities I need. I love the jog shuttle -- it's a nice touch -- and the ability to increase the speaker volume for quiet recordings is great (need to be careful with that). The integrated user manual is one of the best I've seen for any app in the App Store. Well done BIAS. Now one request, can you add the ability to sync the recording directly to my Mac/PC over WiFi? [Edit 11/25/08: WiFi sync added in update and it works great - thanks!]

I've tried several of the voice recording applications for the iPhone and this is by far the most sophisticated both in terms of features and user interface. The latter of which is very important as I've found many apps out there that do not adhere to the standard Apple design guidelines. For example, deleting a recording works the same way as one would delete an email. These minor differences set this app apart from the others. As for the voice recording features, it seems to standalone in this regard as well. Very nice application.

Songwriters Dream, the update has fixed flaws

As a songwriter, I was looking for an inexpensive way to capture ideas as they come. This is a songwriter's dream. Since I already had an iPod Touch, I simply needed to get the iPhone earbuds/mic combo from Apple, and I now have a way to quickly sing, play or speak song ideas into the Application. I also have BIAS Peak Express and it is so easy to send those snippets to Peak for digital editing. I can see where Broadcasters would find this combo incredibly valuable as an interview, edit and production tool. The interview is captured via the iPod Touch or iPhone, the audio is then sent to Peak where it is edited and produced. Ready for airtime!
Thanks for a wonderful app and ONLY 99 CENTS. BIAS could easily charge more for this. Thank you for providing me with a valuable tool for my career. I look forward to the Peak Pro update that enable the "Send to Peak" feature in my Pro version of BIAS. If you are a songwriter, you HAVE to get this app. Highly recommended.

Great Recording App

I am giving this app 5 stars for several reasons. The first is the interface, very slick and intuitive. It's not hard how to figure out how to do stuff on it. It's very easy to send files via WiFi. The best part is that I can convert from WAV to mp3 with several programs that I own, including iTunes to it's native m4a. The thing is, all the other formats have AIFF as it's native format and I can't convert to mp3 without having to buy a program or use a trial version, which I hate to do. Finally, the recording quality is excellent. I am not a sound pro or anything but when I heard the playback, it was very clear and crisp. Nice work guys. Worth much more than the $2.99 I paid.

This is one of the nicest looking recording applications for the iPhone that I own, but it's not without flaws. The biggest flaw is that unless you purchase the $19.95 PEAK desktop application, you're relegated to exporting your recordings by email instead of wirelessly. Unfortunately, every time I try to email my recordings the application crashes. Also, the documentation indicates that you can assign recordings to new categories by "tapping the blue arrow next to the recording", but alas there is no blue arrow.
Great potential--looking forward to these issues being resolved in the upgrade.

A Great Audio Recording App..

I got this app this morning and I must Say I love it.. Great Interface, The easiest to switch recording quality, A Jog Shuttle Control!!! and also superb audio quality.. The addition of buying the syncing app when it comes out will be no big deal for the $19.99 price as im sure it is written great and will sync seamlessy. I cant wait for the next update and the future innovations soon to come.. This is def. in my top 10 of must have Apps!!Alot of the people who rated this app low have not read the recent news. This will be able I transfer through wifi and is not a ploy to upsell more software. You really need to use it a few days and also email support before leaving low and negative ratings
