Awesome RDP client for FREE! By: Adaministrator2 - 07-Aug-2009 Version: 1.0.1 It does what it says on the tin- you can connect to a server and do what you need to do. Touch-to-click is simple and you can even send CTRL-ALT-DEL. Ensure that you know what RDP is - attempting to setup RDP on your home PC will mean exposing it to the net and you need to secure that. Generally RDP is used on servers and as such is secured by firewalls. I'm fed up of people saying in a shocked manner that they have to expose their PC to the internet and bad things will happen. This RDP client is great !
great app By: eshuundara - Aug 28, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I can use this to connect to servers at work and my home PCs. It rocks. I considered giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the keyboard doesn't have arrow keys, and dragging a scrollbar down/up doesn't appear to work for me, but for the price this program is absolutely peerless. I think the 1 and 2 star reviews are from people who really have no business using a terminal services application. If you don't know what version of windows you are running, or don't know how to open ports on your firewall and set up port forwarding on your home router, you do not need this app or any other app like it, since those are prereqs for making this work.
Seriously, 2.5 stars?!?! By: lordbeefington - Aug 20, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I have to say, I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could but I'll gladly toss the extra half star to help bump the rating. This is a STEAL at the Free price range and works beautifully. My girlfriend managed to set it up on her phone and she is an F'n idiot when it comes to anything tech oriented. She just aksed me last night how to add a folder to her documents if that tells you anything. But honestly, I'm writing an article right now praising this software for the Windows Home Server blog.
Awesome ! Connects fast, works like a charm, feature rich ! By: Amtukv - Jul 10, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 To start off I dont get why its getting a bad rating. Its a ***** (5 STAR) application. I was using Mocha's Remote Desktop Lite for some time which seemed a good free RDP app. However, this one beats it hands down. Right Click function, 16 bit color compared to 8 bit of Mocha's, multiple connection tabs, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Windows Key, Drag & Drop Operations. Seriously what else do you need to do from a 3.5 inch screen ? Compared to the paid ones (Jaadu ($25), etc.) this is FREE. [I think the only people giving it a bad rating are those who are unable to configure their router/firewall.]
Awesome By: Zewzag - Jun 18, 2009 Version: 1.0.0 This app is great, and to think people will pay for them when this is free. I have to admit. I saw this app a long time ago, tried it out and didn't understand how to use it. And I think that's the problem many people have. So I'll try to clarify.

Great RDP app By: Dude w/ an iPhone - May 8, 2009 Version: 1.0.0 I couldn't believe this app was free when I downloaded it, I thought there must be some catch. So I was very surprised that it worked as advertised with my Vista Business machine. Connection via WiFi network is very fast and responsive (didn't test it through 3G yet) and the user interface is very intuitive with the same gestures as in Safari: pinch to zoom in and out, drag to pan around, tap to click and tap-and-hold to right click. Selecting small items is sometimes difficult (this is expected, as Windows is not optimized for small touch screens) but you can always zoom in for better precision. Landscape mode is a welcome feature. There is only one significant issue: international keyboards are not supported and produce question marks. I hope this will be addressed in future versions. Another suggestion is to hide the status bar to increase usable screen area.
Thank you By: x2percentmilk - May 6, 2009 Version: 1.0.0 Finally...a free app that allows me to controll my pc that is fully featured, has good support, and used an already implimented system. Saved my butt when I forgot to email my professor a file before class. Emailed it to her from my desktop while I was sitting two feet from her.
Awesome.
By the way, the interface is perfect. Everything is very natural and easily navigable. Landscape mode a plus
best free rdp app right now By: Tsog - May 1, 2009 Version: 1.0.0 Before I got iRdesktop I used Mochasoft's RDP lite. Though free, that app had less features (no right click, ctrl-alt-del, etc.), the color was very bad (8 bit i think), and the speed was slow. iRdesktop is a much better replacement than RDP lite in also every aspect. However, I wish the developer would add sound support, as well the ctrl button for keyboard shortcuts. Nontheless, a great app overall.
Works as advertised By: Lonely Penguin - May 1, 2009 Version: 1.0.0 I can't believe this App is free. I could connect instantly to my XP PC using my home Wifi connection. After forwarding port 3389 on my router I could also connect using 3G. Speed is ok but the Windows user interface is not very easy to use on such a small screen but that was expected. The only downside is that my (very old) home router does not support the iPhones VPN connection types and I don't feel very comfortable opening port 3389 to the internet. I run a ssh server at home and I'd love to see some kind of ssh-tunneling support in a future iRdesktop version. Great app!
Works great By: sr20demon - Oct 18, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Why do people give this program a low rating when they can't figure out how to set up remote desktop or port forwarding on their computer/network? This is a remote desktop CLIENT, if you don't know how to set up or use remote desktop period, consult your Windows documentation. You don't see people giving iSSH a low rating because they don't know how to set up an SSH server on their home computer. That said, this is a great RD client, works better and faster than the other free RD clients available on the iPhone.

Simple and free, gets the job done By: Chief Oddball - Oct 13, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 I may be the ultimate in lazy, but I was looking for a free terminal services app like this merely so that I could manipulate or shut down my workstation from another room in the house (i.e., on the same LAN). For this, at least, the app is flawless. Display is great and performance is excellent. Surprisingly easy to manipulate the Windows desktop using the iPhone!I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise x64 (RTM) with no issues. Thanks for this great and useful freebie!
Does great job 4 free! By: ksuwildcat93 - Oct 11, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Very simple and basic interface. I was on my server within 2 minutes of downloading. Connected flawlessly to win server 2003 x 64. Able to open and view and even edit everything including large excel spreadsheets and word docs. It even opened and viewed a huge database, although it did crash and close once when I attempted to add some data. When it crashed it left the session open and I could not reconnect until I logged on from my laptop and closed that session. But I was surprised it could even view that database so I'm not complaining. For free this is a sweet little program.
Great RDP app!! By: bandrox - Oct 9, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 This is quite possibly the most usefull app on my iPod touch :) And best of all, it's FREE!!! Works like a charm with Windows Server 2k8 R2. This will make remote administration of my home server much easier while my laptop is in the shop, and at those times when I don't have said laptop. Like others, scrolling is a bit of a problem... but for the price, I can't complain too much... No more crawling into the server closet!!

Works with Windows 2008 R2 64-bit! By: Win2008R2User - Sep 26, 2009 Version: 1.0.1 Excellent app! I just downloaded this free up and tested it by remoting into my home box which runs Windows 2008 R2 64-bit. Much to my surprise it works!!! You can zoom in and out by doing the usual pinching gesture. When browsing a page that requires you to scroll up or down it's a little tricky as you have to be zoomed in enough to double-tap the scrollbars in order to drag it. Tested the app with 3G connection both at 640x480 and 1024x768 (in low colors) and it works. Really well done for a free app. You couldn't ask for anything more.
