Of the six recorders I've tried this is the only one I've kept and continue to use. As a voice recorder it is very good (nice features, efficient design, and better than Voice Memos) BUT it's the voice to text emailing that makes it special. The voice to text transcriptions are incredibly accurate. I recommend it highly.Reviewer note: PhillyDoc, have you contacted their Support dept. They responded to a Ringtone question I had.

"Can you add a button under email recording and email recording as text that says convert to text? Then I could copy and paste that convert a text directly into the app preview(?) and I wouldn't be speaking this going to my email and copying and pasting it from there. Thanks for thinking about it and adding that feature would be awesome. This is definitely a super 5 star app."

Understandably, it does take a while to translate, but with Push notification we could leave this app and have a notice, "Text Conversion Ready" alert us that if we go back into the app, a page of converted text will be waiting for us. So much potential here!!!

Perfect punctuation!

Dragon can't come close to this app. It's amazin ability for correct punctuation is something! Only problem I've had is sometimes it takes 30 minutes or longer for the emails to be received. Also, it would be nice for the address bar to function with auto-fill instead of the plus button. I'd pay much more for this app of the emails would arrive in under 5 minutes. They average about 10 mins now.

The recorder section is very good but what really makes this app shine is the voice to text email. The integration is fairly seamless and the transcriptions are 'scary' accurate. (awesome technology that helps make the iPhone the best mobile devide made). So here's the ultimate complement, Would I buy it again? YES, without giving it a second thought. Request: I would like to see a note-to-self button (can this be done?) but even as is it's very good.

I really like this app. It's got great utility value and voice transcriptions are unbelievably accurate (blows me away that it's so precise). This is the best 99-cents I've spent on an app yet.
To Anyoo: Just double tap the the TO space to bring up contacts (no typing pf email addresses require). Also, Dragon copies ALL you contacts to their company database. I don't receommend Dragon based on that. This app is the best voice-to-text solution so far.

This App does exactly what it states it does. Works perfectly with no problems at all. The only suggestion I would make is being able to read the email before it's sent. I guess I have been lucky because the two I tested work perfectly so far. I'm just waiting for that one email I send that no one can read. LOL. I would buy it if I were you. I've spent $10 on apps that never even work so for 99 cents this is a steal.

I am CONSTANTLY plagued by new thoughts, ideas, things I need to "capture," as the GTD folk like to call it. But, continuing down the GTD path (since we're already on it), what do you do AFTER you've captured something? Well, if you can’t do anything about it right NOW, it goes to the old inbox! So, I use the voice recorder on the iphone all the time, but it doesn't give me any good way to sort/send to a handy location. Enter QuickVoice2Text Email (PRO Recorder) - whew! That's a long name. Well, all the other names were probably taken or something. There was only one drawback I found with this baby, but I solved the problem, because I’m such a damn genius - and who benefits? You, my friends. YOU! So: I was getting frustrated because I send 99% of the recordings I make to myself, but the app doesn't remember the email addresses you've used before, so mine doesn't pop right up when I start typing. Solution: make a new contact named Aaaaa (as many a's as you want, I suppose), with your email address, and when you hit the little plus sign to add your contact - bang! First one on the list. This might not work in, like, Sweden where everyone is named Aaaarn and Aaaaana. Sorry, that was mean. I love the Swedes. Good job, QV2TE(PR)!

I get the message that my email was sent but I have never received any of the emails.Tried it six times and waited over one and a half hours.NO,text,NO,voice,no email at all. voice received,nothing.Update,updateThis app is now working 100%FANTASTIC customer service!!!!!The problem was on my end.I was not entering a valid email add for the TO field.You must enter a valid email in both FROM and TO.Pulling from the Iphone contacts,I click on the name and that's what was put in to the TO feild.Customer service contacted me with in ten min. and explaned the problem.All is well and working as addvertised.Hope this will help others.Thanks Dev. Team,Dave

This app could not be easier to use. Talk for 30 seconds -- that's usually plenty -- and send. Amazingly, it even recognizes when you are at the end of a sentence and it inserts a period! The accuracy is quite good, particularly if you speak clearly and avoid background noise.When I first installed it, I had a question for nFinity, the application's developer. I went to their website, found the customer support section and typed my question expecting to hear back in a day or two. Not more than two minutes later, I received a clear, concise answer from an in-house tech wizard. Two minutes!Quite extraordinary indeed.

QuickVoice Pro 1.2 on iPod Touch

A friend with an iPhone showed me this and it seemed great for the iPod touch 2G so I went ahead and purchased. I got the complementing iMac software also. Running Tiger X.4.11 on a Core2Duo, I installed the App on the iPod and the iMac. I'm using the RapCap mic from ChillPill on the Touch and it works great with this App. The Speech to Text works extremely well without having to voice train the application. It worked well even in noisy atmosphere's. The feature to click the + symbol and send a Speech to Text email to one or many contacts and auto inserting your email address after the first time used, makes it real easy to put to use. Now I can compose short emails in the dark, or describe something I'm watching intensly without looking away to type. A compressed audio file goes along with the text. You get a progressbar to know your mail was sent.
The iMac App (and now Windows too) is wonderfully written. After exploring the various menu's with Audio Sticky's and Voice Reminders that set like alarms and pop up (as long as you're logged on) on the specified date and time, I located the folder where the "reminder" files reside, and saw they automatically moved to the trash after dismissed, while others remained. Everything they've done here seems to be top rate and well thought out. It glitched after one recording and gave a clear error message immediately, that the recording had failed, I relaunched and all was well, nothing lost and no surprises later. Excellent, solid application.

A good app that becomes great when used with the desktop app

As a consultant it is very important to not miss any details most of which happen at meetings or contextual discussions. QuickVoice Pro is a simple but great tool that records with good enough quality for my needs. Its purchase currently includes the desktop version as a Free Bonus and that added a lot of value since I can also record remote meetings, allowing me to focus on the meeting instead of being distracted writing notes. I can transfer my iphone files easily an export them for use with iTunes, Media Player, etc. Highly recommend getting both.
Note to the maker: please add functionality (e.g., pause, import from desktop, playback speed control).

This is a great quick record a note app. When you need to record a quick note to yourself you can just go in record it and leave. Easy to find your note as soon as you open the app. You don't have to fumble threw different screens looking for notes as there all there in front of you.
Please, Please, Please, put an icon badge number on the app so we can see we have a new or untitled note to ourself.

I love this recorder. As a songwriter and a producer, it takes no time to jot down a quick Idea and move on to something else. It's very easy and convenient to use. I am in front of multi-thousand dollar recording units all of time. Many times it takes too long to engage, record and get an idea down. I'm not sure what some people complain about with this app. It's meant to record quick messages and send them as a quick email. If you want more features with bells and whistles, go and spend 50 +dollars on a device that is not that easy to use when you are trying to move quickly. For my friends who love to complain, learn how to use it properly and stop complaining about something that you are almost getting for free.

Just bought this and it works flawless even sitting in the charger, low voiced! Can't wait to receive my Bonus desktop version for my iMac. Was really surprised that there is also a voice attachment, so you can hear the message in your own voice as your read the text (recipient hears the infliction in your voice as they read, since text has no emotion per se). My sister was really impressed, and is getting for her PC! Great for work too. Thanks so much for such a useful and great app.--Valerie

This has become probably the most important application I have in my iPhone. I can not only have a verbal reminder but it will send me a text remind based on what I've talked about. It's incredible. It is wonderful for recording lectures and then having the ability to archive them as text files. The service response time is impresive: only a couplr of hours. And the price - incredible for what you get!

A must have “Killer App”, Absolutely the best!

QuickVoice Recorder w/Voice2Text Mail is my forth audio recorder for my iPhone. This is by far the best and the new voice to text email feature insures that this will be the last voice recorder I will need to buy. I contacted customer service and had fast, knowledgeable and courteous service. A fantastic product with fantastic customer service. You can't go wrong with this one!
