Over the years, I have used many apps for logging mileage - I have to do this for business expenses. I've always wanted to log other expenses too, and calculate fuel economy, but other apps Ive tried were too cumbersome to keep going with. This app makes it so easy that I log everything! Wonderful interface that fits the iPhone UI perfectly. A couple of things I'd like to see added in future updates: 1. Retention of last mileage value entered - would make it quicker to start a journey if the start field was pre-filled. 2. Option to email ALL records in a single email. ie. for distance, gas and expenses. 2. Autocomplete of previously entered business addresses, or better still - loading from contacts address book.

This is the best in its class, in regard to the "liters" this is an Americanism which I'm sure we can all live with, just like "metres" and "meters" and the other words that our trans atlantic cousins seem to get wrong (it's sulphur boys, not sulfur 8-)). The export facility is excellent and the data exports to email beautifully!. The author is giving this application away at the very low price its selling at. Get this application if you like to record MPG, MPL or if your just interested in seeing how your vehicle is performing. If I could allocate 6 stars I would.

I've tried a few milage programs, and this is the best free one I've found so far. It's nice to be able to choose KM rather than miles (which you can do in the settings) and to switch between multiple vehicles and to export to CSV. The only thing I wish was present which I haven't found yet is the ability to e-mail entries to another individual for import into another copy of the app - my wife and I use the same car and each have iPhones, so it would be nice to have some way to synchronize our data.

What an awesome tool! Easy to use and quick. I travel nationwide with our ministry handsinmotion.org and I love the fact that I can stop, fill up, enter my odometer reading, total gallons and total cost and you are off. One aspect that I find kinda nifty is the info letting me know if fuel prices are averaging up or down, not a real useful thing, but it tells me the authors are thinking at least. Well worth it's cost :)

I really like this app for being able to track my gas receipts, fuel economy, and car expenses and have it available anytime. The real expenses are tracked in quicken but its nice to have a quick reference on the phone. The mileage log feature is lacking features for business and frequent users, and I ended up purchasing and using milebug for that purpose. Still it makes an easy trip log for lite or personal use and it's free!
The main improvement I would like to see on this app is a graph of my fuel economy and an easier way to track recent fuel economy versus overall fuel economy as opposed to selecting and unselecting records to track. This would help better evaluate by driving habits.

This will be it first full year to test it. There is some data for tax reporting missing. (from, to and to) that the CPA needs. But it is a good reliable app. I love the layout. The Pic of the Vehical, the icon and splash screen. Needs option for fillup or limited fill due to the $75. limit on big trucksOne more thing, I run two Business so you need to take two differant pics of the same car to account for seprate mileage, or take use pics of the two business logos.

Easy + Fast to use = More Likely to actually enter my information!

I have been using this app for more than the past 10,000 miles. I've found it's easy to operate, I can enter the data pretty quickly, and it has cool reporting functions. I also use the app's additional "expenses" option to track added costs that otherwise are easily forgotten.
It has a really cool option to select which tanks you want to include in your calculations- if you decide to change your driving habits to improve mileage then this function can be really useful.
Trip mode: for me it seems a little bit clunky. I'm still looking for an app to record business mileage with ease- I guess this is meant to be for expenses and not a mileage tracker anyways...
Give it a try- use it for 4 or 5 fillups and see what you think. Worse case scenario is it tells you what mileage you are actually getting over a range of fillups.

This is a great app. Keep a track of petrol costs and servicing costs. For those complaining about lack of metric - I live in Australia - and you CAN convert to metric! It's a great app!!!I now use this app everytime I get petrol, it's a great simple yet comprehensive app that does exactly what I need - meets my expectations. Great little app, GET THIS NOW!(To the reviewer below, you CAN enter information from previous days and to the other review below - why would you want the same odometer reading as before? The while point is to track the odometer reading).

I used to have logbook lite, similiar to this application, but this one is the best about the maintenance schedule, you can check your last maintenance and so on. However, for ODMeter mile input, I don't understand why I have to input each time I pump gas, if I have the base value, and the price, and cal, it should be able to calculate miles (trip) driven the next time. (logbook lite can do that), Maybe upgrade will fix it?

I compared this app to Another app that I use called road trip and they both are very good but I seem to like the format of this one better. Having said that the road trip app offers items that this app does not: 1. Price per gallon/MPG graph 2. Total miles 3. Total gallons 4. Price per mile and 5. Trip mileage between fill ups. I really like this app and I find it very useful. If the above mentioned items are added Red Cube will have a 5 star app on their hands in my opion.

I was searching for a replacement for my old iambic Vehicle Manager program and this might be it. I've entered some old receipts up to current just to see how it would respond and my biggest concern so far is that the automatic calculation field is slightly off on the number of gallons when I enter my total $ and $/Gal. It doesn't match the receipt. My old program was able to match what was on the receipt exactly, reflecting a true number of gallons purchased. It would also let me distinguish which vendor I used (Chevron, Exxon, Texaco, BP, Shell, etc) and under Maintenance I could list a specific vendor (leaving the notes field free for the "purpose" of the maintenance) so I could know which mechanic/service center replaced what parts on my truck. Finally, I would also like to see under "Trip Details" the ability to enter a specific destination (even if it's no more than the name of a building) and leave the notes field free for the "purpose" of the trip. Other than that, everything else is the bomb! Keep up the great work.

VehiCal is really the gold standard for this kind of applications. Only I am unable to determine how to handle partial tank fuel purchases. I travel in a Motorhome a lot and will often purchase a few gallons at a high price just to get me to a location I know is much lower. My RV has a 120 gallon tank. Am I the only person to buy $20 worth of fuel w/o filling the tank? This is the only "shortcoming" and I am currently writing the partial tank purchases in the logbook and adding the gallons to my next f/u. Awkward.

This is a rather handy app. It's pretty much got what I want, but, being a greedy user, I want more! :-)Is it possible to show an overall 'pence per mile' for the fuel used and/or the expenses bit too?Could you show a mpg based on the difference between the tanks filled? This way I don't have to click all the old fillups off, just so I can compare mpg ratings.Lastly - what about a graph of mpg over time?To be honest, the last two features are something I miss from an old app I had on my Palm many years ago.Anyway, I do like this app, and I'm very glad you've made it free - thanks.

fuel consumption calculation big error - fixed

One big issue with this program is that it rounds off the quantity of petrol purchase to one deicmal place. This results in big differences in the computed fuel consumption, as high as 2-3 Km/L. I have also written the following feedback to the seller but have yet to get a response.
1. Please consider making odometer entry using keypad. It is a pain to use scrolling numbers (some have to scroll up and some have to scroll down. slow and confusing) - fixed.
2. Ability to launch at previous/last screen e.g. Gas instead of always starting at Vehicle page.
3. Consider to allow user to change column to fuel consumption (e.g. km/L) or odometer instead of Price/L - partially fixed
4. Ability to enter short notes on the Gas Details page
5. The litres entry at Gas Details round off to one decimal place making fuel consumption calculations not accurate. (serious bug) - fixed
6. In edit mode for gas entry, when the numbers are change, there is no more auto calculation for the last figure. (serious bug) - fixed
7. Consider to include fuel consumption (km/L) in HTML export table.
At a minimum, the serious bugs should be fixed.
Updated: Many issues fixed with improvements. Flexible with very nice HTML export.

Fantastic software, does exactly what it's supposed too. No problem with MPG, l/100km or $/£, just go to the configuration screen. Multiple cars a plus.

Very useful application..... and it's free. I don't understand the comments about gallons and litres. My version allows the correct volume measure to be selected. All in all a very good program.
