Thank you so much for helping me with my permit test! I would highly recommend it to anyone in a flash. The questions in this application are word for word of what is on the actual permit test for California. I don't know how similar the questions are for other states, but if you are in California, then you are in luck. I love using my new iPhone, so I actually enjoy studying, because the interface is so simple to understand that I wanted to take practice tests. If you are like me and you don't like to read the driving handbook or take boring classes, this app sure saves the day!

Now I hope I will pass in a few months! =DUpdate: Helped me pass the test all though one of the questions, like being able to use a bike lane to complete the turn is not a correct answer. You should never use one to complete a turn within 200 feet or whatever that one question says. If I would of listened to that one I would of got it wrong on the test. Luckily I didn't, it may be different in some states ..I'm not sure, but it's ilegal to do in mine. But overall I liked the app and it helped me pass it was so worth the $0.99 at the time.. But $5 seems pricy though.

It really works! I just took my permit test in California today, and passed with flying colors! I can not reccommend this app any higher. In terms of app design, it works like a charm with nifty uses of the iPhone's touch screen and accelerometer. If u are studying for the permit test, this is the best way to do it. Yes, $3 is a little on the pricey side, but it pays for itself as the DMV employee says, "you aced it!" 5/5!

I gave this app. 5 stars with the hope that there will be an update that will include an Index with ALL the driving rules, so I can look up the answer[s] to any questions that I might come up with in my mind, since I haven't had to take a California DMV written test in over 15 years, because I haven't had a moving violation in the last 30+ years.(knock on wood)I drove a diesel rig(18 wheeler)for more than 18 years and this app. Is a must buy for anyone that is going to be taking a non-professional driving test, especially if you don't have the time to drive to your local DMV to pickup a book to study. If you just have questions about specific DMV rules, then I'd suggest you buy this app. Like I did and hope the next update will include an Index with All the DMV Rules & Regulations with the [CA.]Vehicle Code Numbers Then it would be usefull for Professional & Non-professional drivers. I would easily pay $7.00 for a complete DMV Reference Manual and the driving test Q&As.

I'm about to take driver's ed in a couple weekends and I want to gives a head start first so when I enter the class I don't feel like I'm a noob. Haha. At least you got some basic information first. But seriously, this app provides lots of helpful information and tips that I don't find them in the Driver's Manual. It's fun to study because each section is only 20 questions- it doesn't make you feel boring or anything. Plus if you drag the question down a bit you'll notice the answer is on the back on it (hehe) But it's up to you.

Great application for refreshing my memory!

The application is easy to navigate. The results page at the end of any given exam is excellent for review of missed problems. Missed problems are shown in red, correct answer shown with green text. I needed to brush up to answer my Nephew's questions about his upcoming test and since my iPhone is always with me, I can student when time permits. As clearly stated, this application does not substitute for your particular State Driver's Handbook. Although, I find this a nice companion to the Driver's Handbook. Would like to be able to go back and check former results and/or the ability to input specific rules for my particular State.

Took the first test - really liked the way the app worked. Definitely had a whole bunch of those weird questions in the set!
Couple of requests -
- More "number" questions, such as "Alcohol limit before driving", "% of accidents caused by drink driving", etc. Maybe these are in there but just not in the set I was tested on!
- Would like to see a breakdown of questions per State as driving laws can vary quite a lot. For example, it'll illegal to make a U-turn in Oregon unless stated as OK, whereas in California it's the opposite - U-turns are totally legal unless otherwise stated!
Looking forward to seeing more tests! :o)

Thank you so much! This app covered a lot of things not states in an online course for California Driving. This app also has an extensive coverage on road signs. Although I would like to see what some signs actually mean. I don't exactly know what "chevron" is when I look at the answer, so a slight explanation would have been nice on some of the road signs. Other then that however, this app is fantastic to REINFORCE WHAT YOU ALREADY LEARNED!Again, thank you so much for this app! 

I would recomend this app to any soon to be driver. I would give this a full fleged 5/5 but the app has a problem. That problem is that sometimes the app mistakes one answer for another. For example the awnser for a problem might be a. but when I put in a. The app tells me that I put in b. I hope they fix that at some point, but that dosn't change my opinian about it. It's still fun, still informative and, I still love it and you will do!!

This is a great application to know the rules of the road and yours signs. I know soooooo much more after practicing these test over and over again. I actually know what ALL signs mean. And I feel a little more comfortable about driving now. But... I took the Maryland learners permit driving test today and just taking these test IS NOT ENOUGHT. I was using this application as a shortcut over reading the book. But know LOL don't do that. Most of the questions on the test are identical to the ones on this app but the test has some questions about penalties for wrong actions. Those penalties are not on this app sooo I recommend studying this app and looking at the penalties for wrong actions in the driving book for people who live in Maryland. I passed btw by the skin of my teeth. If I had missed one more I wouldve failed 

Driving laws are different for each state, even if it's not by much. It's a great app and I used it to study for my permit test (got it second time around) but on the first quiz I got answers wrong because some things are different from state to state. SO be careful when using it if you live in a different state other than california. Review with your book and make sure what you are learning applies to your state too.
Otherwise it's amazing and wonderful!

I got this application on my iPhone for my girlfriend who does not have a drivers license yet. She gets nervous about the big test but with this application it will allow her to take practice tests before she takes the real one. Sure you can read the little book that you get at the DMV, but it's not the same as taking a timed quiz. You can email your results to family and friends if need be. Overall, it a very well written app and worth the $.99

I purchased this app because I'm too lazy to read the manual. I'm 37 years old and living in NYC, so who needs a car when your family and friends drive? I do! I tested this out on my 71 year old father and he did pretty well on the first test, only getting 3 wrong. He said the questions are accurate as well as the answers. He said if he had to take the test today he'd probably fail as would most people. Great to refresh yourself on the rules. Would give 5 stars if they had additional test on just the recognition of signs. My dad said that would be a great feature also. Are you listening!!!

Turning 16 in a month, and also getting my permit, things like these are really helpful. The questions are good, and it is really easy to use. One thing I did not like, however, was that at the bottom of the screen, when taking a test, it seemed I had a certain time to answer the question. I'm not sure about other DMV's but my local DMV tests arn't timed, so I have no use for the timing. Great job!

I have had my licence for a while but this app is a great review for drivers of all ages! I would recommend this to everyone! It was a great idea to create an app like this.
