Ok I was kindof sceptical at first bcuz of lack of reviews but once I did download this app I knew it was worth way more than free. This app is the best free Japanese language app I've found so far here. The layout is easy to follow the sound isn't to bad ether; I like the fact it has a flashcard/quiz section for faster learning. I would deffinitly upgrade but sadly I spent my last iTunes credit on music... So I guess I'll have to go to the store today and get some more. A deffinite keeper if you have the smallest budget possible (like me at the moment).

All I can really say is WOW! I've used different language apps as far as Korean, French, and Japanese and this app by FAR is the best for what it's made for. Built in study cards/flash, tests, great quality voice to hear pronunciations, and used for purpose of learning and upholding actual conversation. I opened the app and even in the first 10 mins of browsing through, I felt relaxed knowing how confident I would easily be able to learn a bit of Japanese! Well worth being FREE people! I will definitely be buying the upgrade and if any other language dev reads this review, please make it the same way! I prefer Korean and French! And thank you for this wonderful app! Just made my day xD

。I love this application. I was looking for a cantonese program but i came accross this and I thought I'd check it out since it's free. This application is the bomb. The developers put so much work into it. I can tell these people have a passion for teaching the language and have the brain and talent to do it so well and exquisitively by the way the program is strucuted and designed. The audio is clear. The notes of how the phrases are used appropriately culturally are wonderful. I've just scanned through the program and I feel like I'm taking a serious course in class. Tell me that this program is written by great scholars. How do I purchase the full version? Do I have to go to the website or is it available on app store? This is the best language program by far I can't believe this version is even free. Thank you for your generosity and passion about the language.

Well I used to find decent sites on my laptop that didn't charge for rosetta stone prices and actully had a good.... Err system to it I guess. Something like that. Anyway to the point, this is really good stuff and free!!! Now I can learn Japanese on the go without the need to download a podcast that doesn't have the visual spelling to make it easier like this does, and I don't need to write down a load of phrases on a notebook from the website I pulled it off, everything is in one place with less effort ^_^ well done to whoever created this, arigato

I've only got the lite version but it is already incredible! It's got lots of phrases, including slang (woo!) and little notes explaining what the phrases are approriate for.
My only problem with this is that the blue text clashes with the grey background and does something funny to my eyes but this app is amazing nonetheless.

Wow, this is incredible! I already know how to speak Japanese but this is still very much helpful when studying the language more fluently for a holiday or a long visit in Japan! I totally recommend this app! Just amazing! And it's free!!!!! Sugoi!!! All smiles :D

While this can't take the place of a instructor led class it gives those with no Japanese language experience some useful phrases to get started with and those of us who have had some classroom experience a refresher. Kudos to the team that put this together you have made what I believe is the finest educational app to date.
