it really is a magic game kids will love it, the upgrades are really good .... auto scrolling to next word .... random colours .... fun graphics .... new different rewards for the kids.... any queries to anusen answered thoroughly & very quickly by email .... and to make it special the little daughters voice will encourage kids to keep guessing & learning .... thanks for thinking of kids & all your good ideas....i also bought maths magic....just as good, same decription as above for word magic....

My daughter, 5, is going into kindergarten this fall and loves this app. She used to be hooked on Easy Math but now likes this more. You can change whether the work is missing the first last or middle letters and the updates keeps adding more words. I was shocked yesterday when she spelled 'purple'. She told me she learned it from my phone. I am convinced this is one of the best apps for early childhood learning. Easy Math, and iArcade with the memory matching game are two others that come to mind. Anyway I'd give this one six stars if I could.

Well done! Great educational game! I like how you can choose which letter is missing (beginning, middle, or end). You can also choose to have it all in caps, if you want to. My daughter loves this game. I like the developers chose to use a childs voice to say the word. I think children perfer that over hearing an adult's voice. My only suggestion would be to even out the sound. The voice is very quiet when saying the word and too loud when congratulating. Minor thing that I hope gets fixed in an update. Highly recommend this game for kids!

My kindergartner loves this application, I think it is a very good idea to have kids fill in either beginning, middle or finishing sounds. There is a lot of room for improvement: I wish you did not always have to choose beginning, middle or finishing sounds, so that any of those could be presented randomly as an option. More words are definitely needed, and also longer words. It would also be good that the word be spoken when you get it right, or even before you get it right as an option or a hint.

Not a bad application. My 3 year old got hooked right away. But there is definitely room for improvement• I would make a bigger deal when they get the right answer, especially when the mute is on so this will have to be done visually.• There needs to be more separation between the "Next Game" button and the buttons at the bottom. A 3yo shaky hands keep pressing one of those buttons instead of the next game• I hope we can ad more pictures to the gameBut overall, after trying several applications, this is the only one that my daughter has even paid attention to. Oh, one more thing the cow doesn't look like a cow.

A great next step from learning letters

This is a lovely little app. My son really enjoys using it.
A nice next step on from learning letters and associating them with objects (see iAlphabet, also on the app store), to help your toddler understand letters and sounds within words.
Also, the Preference screen allows you to change the colour scheme, turn the voice on or off, change the alphabet style (small letters or caps) etc.

My 5 year daughter loves this app and we have used it a lot when driving or takeing the train. She especially loves all the rewards you get when answering correctly (daddy look I got a cupcake!!). It would be great though if you could increase the difficulty and if you as a parent could track progress and which words your kid had difficulties with, but I guess that is a bit much to expect for £0.59.

This app is a good way to start your kids reading. The pictures are simple and clear and it's something that can grow with your child. One of my sons (4yr) is filling in the letters and my other son (2yr) is saying the words even though he is nowhere near being able to read yet. Good app.

This app is the best. My son is learning to read and being able to play to find the begining and ending sound is great and it is a concept being taught to him in kindergarten. My 3 year old loves it too. Makes me want to have iPhones for each one of them!

This application is awesome! Not only does this constantly challange my son's ability, the developer is constantly adding more words and improving the application! It is really a GREAT application - well done!

Simple, yet very intuitive interface. Very encouraging and rewarding App every time you get your word right. Fancy Star graphics is great. My son Loves it. Would love to see more Levels, more words and more Animation. Can't wait for next update.

This is an excellent learning tool that engages the kids and gives rewards for correct answers. Definitely one of the best apps I've found for teaching spelling.
