When somebody tries to use your device, the first thing they see will be the fingerprint scan prompt. If they are not familiar with how the iPhone/iPod Touch works, they will keep getting the access denied alarm and assume that the fingerprint scan is necessary to gain access.

ok, here goes- to all you people who are complaining about how "big of a waste of money" this app is,... STFU. please... do yourselves a favour. maybe you should have read the description further...? IT'S FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. this is why it's listed under the "entertainment" category. deedeedee. obviously it's not really gonna recognize and scan your finger. you'd (truthfully) need to be the victim of at least SOME form of mental retardation to think that (yes, that means YOU, the little kids who aren't even deserving in the least bit of an iPhone/iPod touch). =/.

Apparently people can not read!!! I think if people understood that this app was a prank then they'd be much more happy with what they are getting, like myself!!! Read the description all the way through and you'll know what you're getting, and where the company plans to take the application in the future. The new update is great, Empire! Really makes it easier to "gain access" when you want...really like how the default is "access denied" otherwise.

A lot of people don't understand that it's just a joke. Of course it's not a scanner, duh. Everyone should know that about their iPhone. I think it's a funny app. Every time I trick people with it, they get very impressed! You just need to tap the "Place your finger on the scanner" banner to activate the DENIED option. Seriously, if anything would be used as a "scanner", the camera would come closest to it, not the screen...
