Reviews:
Awesome! By: init4themoney - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 I don't know what's wrong with the other reviewers, this is a great application with an amazing concept. You get all of your tv shows and movies on the go on iPhone, iPad, etc, and it's only 10$ a month. You get to watch what you want when you want to watch it, and so what if there are commercials, there only 30 seconds long and it sure beats the 5 minutes of commercials you get on cable. I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna get this and get rid of cable all together.
Stop Being Cheap People!! By: Joey Drinks - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 Let's get this straight. People are giving this app low ratings because they're too cheap to pay for a quality product? You get what you pay for people. They had to restructure their content to bring it to the iPhone so be grateful. I could understand if it didn't work, and the videos were choppy; but it's absolutely seamless. Stop Complaining, you could see the cost of the app before you downloaded it. Show me a better app out there right now that lets you use it across platforms?!?! If it's quality & content you want, then pay for it. Stop complaining! $10 may be a bit steep, $5 would be a fair recurring price, or just a one time $15 charge. But give it some time. This has to be the best app for streaming video to the iPhone . You people are just a bunch of cry babies..
All this entitlement.. kinda sick By: lamarak - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 This app is cool. Cant believe the whining over 10 bucks. Its one meal. How many of you have crap that is sitting in your house you don't use and cost way more than 10 bucks. The market is changing and nothing wrong with a company trying to make money. If you can make better sight that offers all this free now, then do its since all you complainers know so much on how this business model operates. Get off your high horse. You pay cable a monthly fee and have commercials too, magazines that you pay for have ads. This is just a fact of life that as things grow, it changes. Years ago before cable, TV was free too, then cable changed the way things work. We are now in a change again.
People, By: zemackdaddy - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 You aren't paying $10 for stuff you get for free on your computer. The free version for computers gives you the latest five episodes. The $10 monthly version for BOTH the computer, iPad, and other stuff gives you the full latest SEASON, multiple seasons of some series, and even the complete series of some shows such as X-Files, Firefly, Life, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You pay $10 for this even if you are using the computer.
Do you people know how to read? By: MicroCool - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 If you guys would read before you download, you would understand that this app does not contain the plus content, you download it to get an invitation when the new service launches. And $10 a month to watch any show you want at anytime is a heck of a deal since most of you pay 10 times as much for cable with 10 times the commercials. I never listen or read reviews in the app store because all it is are people griping to the developers like it is a forum. Do you guys know what a review is? Do you know how to read? Have any of you actually read what the plus content is? I didn't think so.
It's free for now and well worth the download. By: Buddy1065 - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 The ratings seem very undeserved. I don't feel like this app should be judged by it's inclusion of commercials. Frankly I would take one 30 second commercial over the 7 or 8 that one gets in one big clump while watching cable TV. The quality of the video is superb even in 3G mode; I'm surprised AT&T allows this. Truthfully I would have to think twice about shelling out $10 per month but right now I am watching full length TV shows with this app for free. So again I say it's a well designed app worth the download. The ability to show others the incredible quality; something eyetv can't even come close to with 3G, is in a word awesome. 'Nuff said.
Idiot Reviewers By: Oamey - Jul 4, 2010 Version: 1.0 $10 a month to get 1000s of shows with limited commercials is a GREAT DEAL. If they added a few more networks to the list this could replace cable entirely. You people are entirely missing the point. Half of you are already paying $50+ a month for cable with a 1:2 commercial to tv ratio. This is a cheaper alternative. You get 100X more shows than with the free version. The commercial ratio is 5X less than that if standard TV.ITS NOT THE SAME AS THE FREE CONTENT
Get informed then rate and review By: Broken stars - Jul 1, 2010 Version: 1.0 First of all since I have yet to see anyone one have plus access and it still new and in limited preview who knows if the final product will have ads. Second your not paying for the free content you can get on the website but rather content beyond that such as back catalogs of shows so the paid content is going to be paid no matter where you view it from even your computer so that means paid content Is paid content period. Now you are entitled to your option but be informed when you make it. Do I think this will work out or last I don't know but I am willing to try it (if I could get an invite code) and as a final thought 10 bucks a month is a small price to pay even if it has ads when it has a major of content I watch that I can access anywhere anytime. I paid more than ten time that for cable I can only watch at home when it's on unless I'm lucky and sometimes they put some of it ondemand but disable fast forward and other functions. I have yet to see anyone hold a gun to your head and make you download the app or better yet pay for the service. I giving it 5 * not sure if it deserves that yet but to offset the uninformed option in the reviews that what I will go with hate to see this die before it start because a bunch of entitled uninformed app goers give bad rating because of conclusions they jumped to. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
It is surprising how worked up everyone is getting over the $10 per month By: artemis.777 - Jul 12, 2010 Version: 1.0 I can't believe how worked up everyone is getting over the $10 per month. I pay a lot more than that to Comcast every month to watch shows that have even more commercials included, and I used to pay Verizon substantially more. If this service really is offering all of the episodes that it promises, then I will cancel my cable. I will come out financially ahead. I can still watch the shows on my tv by using my HDMI cable to hook the laptop to the tv. I really tend to prefer to watch them on the laptop, though. I like the app a lot. The picture is clear and of good quality; it loaded the show very quickly. Oh, there is another thing that I want to add about the financial benefits that I will reap because of this app. I love to watch shows on my iPhone; right now my only option is to download shows from iTunes. At $1.99 per episode; I will be breaking even after watching only five shows a month. That's not even counting the savings from cable. This deal is a steal, when you compare it to the existing options.
OMFG! Stop hating... By: Bigman99211 - Jul 4, 2010 Version: 1.0 Ok, to all you dips out there. First off the plus service is still in beta. Second, when you DO pay for the service, you won't have ads plus you'll get to watch the entire season of a show instead of the last 5 episodes. For some shows you get all of the seasons. Like I said before you can't even pay for the service yet, they're just testing functionality on a larger scale right now. That's why there is a limited number of shows.

Reviewers, please grow up and stop complaining! By: Cksphd - Jul 6, 2010 Version: 1.0 This is an opportunity to view television programs on your phone, computer, or iPad.This costs LESS, a lot less, than Cable TV.This is more convenient, and you can choose what you want to watch and when.If you took the time to THINK about it, you would realize that it is an excellent opportunity and that 9.99 is, actually, a very good deal. Why do people jump, so quickly, to complain? Please think first. This is a cool app, and a good deal!
The future of tv By: True-Ha - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 This is a great app, period. People complaining about paying for tv and having to watch ads must have some magical cable provider that doesn't do the exact same thing. You people are living on another planet if you think they could still produce tv shows with no money from ads. It's literally the only reason these shows get made - ad space! So if you can get over having to watch a couple ads I would recommend canceling your cable bill and putting up the 10 bucks to watch shows anytime, anywhere you want.
$10 and ads, so what? By: seront - Jun 29, 2010 Version: 1.0 Seriously, what the HECK is wrong with most of you? Right now if you have cable you probably spend at LEAST $60/month for cable, with about 7:30 of commercials per half hour. You're complaining about potentially now paying only $10/month and having to only watch about 1:30 of commercials per half hour.... Seriously? Are you guys on crack? Or are all the one star reviews from 12 year olds who can't get mommy to pay $10/month.This is a FREE preview release, and if it's at all indicative of what's to come. I'm in!FIVE STARS.
Great app By: kingvelez1 - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 Everyone here is giving this app one star because of the ads. But don't you all pay more than 50 dollars a month for cable and it also has ads? Who cares if it has ads, the price is for the content and the ability to have a back catalog of shows you might have missed. Five star in my book for bringing it to the idevices. People read the description of the service it is not the same as the free version on the computer. Thanks.
So much better than you realize By: booboodah - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 It's a shame that all of you angry people don't understand what is being offered. You are getting full current seasons, including full run of seasons from popular series like Grey's Anatomy, X-Files, etc...Yes, there are commercials, but a fraction the number of commercials than on TV. Guess what...You pay over $100 a month for cable. That has more commercials, and you pay for 100 channels you never watch. What a disappointment you all are. You're paying ten bucks for much more content, available on your blu-ray, mobile, ipad/iphone, LED, gaming console. If you don't see value in that, please do give this app 1 star and move on to stealing shows from the internet. If you think you deserve amazing content for free you're an idiot.
Stop Whining By: Jammin72 - Jul 4, 2010 Version: 1.0 This app is quite responsive, excellent picture quality. The level of entitlement that's displayed in these reviews is just sad. You pay $60-130 a month for cable... Guess what they show all the time... Commercials. Gimme a break folks. You're paying for a content delivery service just like many others. Your $10 gets you true HD output on your PS3, Net Ready Blue Ray player, or similar network device. The real bottleneck for most folks is going to be the needed bandwidth for true HD streaming. This ISN'T the same free service that's offered online. Don't add ignorance to unfounded indignation.
Pretty Darn Good By: Chode luver - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 This app works perfect on my iPhone 3G over 3G network. I was surprised by how good the quality is. What all these idiots don't understand is that the $10 gets you WAY more content then what you get for free on your PC. Instead of just getting the most recent episodes, you get the entire series + you can watch on more than just iPhone including xbox 360, PS3 and other devices like you're TV. $10 a month doesn't seem bad for all the value you get
Quality App By: Rizod - Jun 30, 2010 Version: 1.0 Surprised at the outrage and all the 1 star reviews. App is very well laid out and organized. Looking forward to getting to pay for the service. They add extra and up to date episodes of the current season that are not available from any other (legal) source. Video quality is excellent with great performance and responsiveness over 3G. Only complaint -- no resuming after getting switched out of the app. Once iOS 4 fast switching is added, I'll go up to 5 stars.
Impressive with app- $10 is a bit much By: Klessmas - Jul 1, 2010 Version: 1.0 this app is excellent, particularly with iPhone 4 and iPad 3G models. Video quality is excellent over 3G and of course over wifi. no stability issues (if you have iPhone 3GS you may have a different experience). AT&T network carries content seamlessly. Particularly impressed with fast app user switching and tap/drag to different segments in program. No crashes.the price is right at $5/mo... $10 is steep. impressed with title library none the less...
Nice By: Kingskipster - Jul 12, 2010 Version: 1.0 Only 4 stars due to inability to enjoy Plus part of service. People complaining about ads don't get it. You have ads on cable and dish, since you do pay for ESPN and such. The fee allows you access to the entire season and many other full prior seasons. Even on the current free service you don't get that. You just get a few episodes. My guess is that the fee eventually gets you full access to the vaults of all networks. The Federal government has digitized all episodes, so it is not out of the question. I will pay to have this level of access.UPDATE: Got my beta invite and paid the money. Selection is good so far, but missing Simpsons, Married With Children and others. Still very promising. The ads aren't a bother. I get ads on ESPN, CNN, TBS, etc... Channels I pay for. If you want free stick an antenna on the roof and enjoy your locals. The antenna is not free though.
