Reviews:
Fun and engaging, very relaxing! By: enuhski - Nov 20, 2009 Version: 1.1 iQuarium is an inventive and highly entertaining game that puts you in charge of a virtual pet fish which you must feed and keep happy. Feeding is simple, just tap on the tiny icon on the upper right side of the screen to release pellets. You can play with it by tapping on the screen - gently, mind you, and not too much so as not to scare it away - and your fish will respond a bit by following the movement of your finger. Just as we get bored, our fish get bored, too, and if I may add, they're not into clingy pet owners. You can leave your pet alone and just come back when you feel like playing or feeding it. Just keep in mind that unfed fish for more than several days might make them aggressive, depressed and they might even die on you. To be honest, what keeps me coming back is the anticipation of new stuff for my fish. All I will ask for is more items, perhaps introduce a mini-game or two, and the more options for a pet fish other than the default orange parrot fish. The gorgeous graphics and animation lend depth and vibrancy to the game environment, and the pet fish is really cute. Gameplay is fairly simple. The game makes no demands on its players other than basic caring for their pet fish. Competing with other players thanks to Open Feint integration is an added bonus that keeps the game interesting and allows it to branch out to a bigger community of players. Overall, a great, easy to play, relaxing game that will keep you coming back.
Real or virtual? By: Svensz - Oct 24, 2009 Version: 1.0 It's really awesome what the guys at Infinite Dreams brought to us.I had the chance to play a while whith a real Parrotfish and though have to say, that I nearly don't see a real difference to the virtual one. It's amazing how realistic the A.I. reacts to interactions.Furthermore the graphics are high quality and produce a nice atmosphere for my opinion. Just add some soundeffects and relaxing background music and this app will be my favourite!iQuarium is worth the money and the most realistic fish simulator out there, trust me!
Simply wonderful By: Lola330h - Oct 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is so fun to play around with, and the graphics are amazing. I just love how realistic everything looks, and the little fish is just adoralbe and full of personality. For 99 cents, this app is near perfect. Of course, it's not really a game, so avid gamers would not be interested for long, but this app is great for something to do for short periods of time. The point system keeps me interested, and i cant wait for new items. The only thing that I would suggest is that some more sounds would be included in an eventual update. Though the graphics are great, it seems to loose that realistic feel without the sound of a humming filter, or the bubbles from the air pump. Overall, I love this app, and. I definately think that it is worth the dollar! You won't regret buying this application!
Beautiful and Realistic By: JWiPhone - Oct 5, 2009 Version: 1.0 I downloaded this app yesterday and was amazed at how realistic and beautiful the graphics were. A good quality aquarium for the iPhone is one that offers realism and good interaction, and this does it very well. So often aquarium apps are too cartoonish looking. The graphics even look nicer on the iPhone than the video that is shown on the website. This is not your usual game, but is meant for visual, relaxing entertainment. The only thing I would suggest is the sound of bubbles and more sound effects. I'm very happy with this app, and check up on this Parrot Cichlid fish all the time to keep it healthy.
Fish Friendly By: Sean Ivy - Sep 21, 2009 Version: 1.0 I've had a chance to play around so far, and it's kind of fun. My family had Parrotfish growing up, and iDreams has attempted to mimic that behaviour and has succeeded I believe. Your fish will swim and meander around the screen, the view moving with it if it swims towards the edges. Tapping on the screen is like tapping on the glass, a few times, and the fish will follow your finger, but too much, and it will get agitated and scared. Yes, unlocking items takes a little while, however the 'points' you accumulate towards new items (gravel, rocks, plants, etc.) accumulate while you're gone as well. So this is a bonus. I'ts kind of relaxing just playing iwth your fish and watching it swim around, and iDreams did a great job on the graphics and AI. even "filling the tank" with water and "dropping the gravel in". It's little touches like this, that makes it immersive for the player. Worth the purchase in my opinion.
Realistic rendering, pleasant app By: old white country doctor - Jan 4, 2010 Version: 1.3 The animation is outstanding and very realistic. Not so much a game as simple entertainment.I kept cichlids for a long time in my younger years and many of the behaviors are amazingly realistic. My only suggestion would be to have the option of a natural cichlid (severums are among my favorites) rather than a man-made hybrid; although there is certainly something obliquely appropriate about a man-made fish in an iPhone app.
Good, BUT.... By: Techy addict - 31-Dec-2009 Version: 1.3 I don't like the 'film' type action of the camera keep moving around the tank. It should be static. AND IT IS STILL CRASHING! everytime I get a text message when it is on. I also would like to re arrange my tank. I love the clock! Otherwise excellent.Had it a while now and it's a super app, I love it. I'm relieved though that some objects can be deleted if not liked. Another fish would be so much better but PLEASE STOP THE MOVING CAMERA ACTION!! I hate it.
Best interactive fish app so far By: broken pixel - Jan 13, 2010 Version: 1.4 I love this app, next best thing to having a real fish friend. Nicely done devs a++.I just wish we could choose the back drop color, etc.
Fish. By: | witnee | - Jan 12, 2010 Version: 1.4 I love this app.. And I bet with every up coming new updates it will only get better.
Cool By: Dhyrhurghtryurrj - Jan 12, 2010 Version: 1.4 Amazing
Cool By: Petmaster - Jan 12, 2010 Version: 1.4 I love this app it is so fun to play with. I would get it if I where you.
My Finnigan By: imral3 - Jan 8, 2010 Version: 1.4 The app just got better with the recent update to version 1.4. Buy it! You won't be disappointed!
Love my fishy! By: Kimpissible - Jan 5, 2010 Version: 1.3 I absolutely love my little guy :) And I appreciate the fact that the game notified me that I "bring a smile to my fish's face". Made my day :) Other types of fish would be cool too! And two fish in a tank so they could have little fish babies :D
Best fish on itunes By: artuszka - Dec 29, 2009 Version: 1.2 I try almost everything and this one is the best - great job. Niestety po ostatnim update wszystko szlak trafił i rybka pewnie zdechła ponieważ program już nie chce się uruchomić. what a shame ...
Awesome! By: nancyj0 - Dec 22, 2009 Version: 1.2 The backgrounds and objects are beautiful. Wished my fresh water tank was this nice. And the little fish is so cute I feel like I have the real thing. He likes to follow me around. This is my favorite app on my iPod touch. Thanks. A+++
A nice sim By: spursrule - Dec 13, 2009 Version: 1.2 Its always nice having an app that keeps being updated. This is a very good sim as it is. I would rather see our points into a bank system so we could chose what to upgrade rather than having it pick for us. Then change the items that are upgradeable as in levels/time played. Either way well worth the $1.99.
Nice By: Rayvin400 - Dec 13, 2009 Version: 1.2 Thanks for the update. The bubble sounds are nice. Oh and the poster below me asked for points quicker, but I disagree, because then we would go through unlockables too quick. So it's fine the way it is. Thanks!
Sooo cute! By: Fasul22 - Dec 2, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is a really cute App! I find myself checking on my little fish Gigi a couple of times a day Out of all the virtual pet apps i find this one to be the best. I agree I hope the next update includes sounds, like bubbles or the fish swimming but right now my little Gigi is one happy fish! very realistic with the graphics too, just something fun to have on ur phone :-)
Very nice! By: Secondtime - Nov 21, 2009 Version: 1.1 This app is very nice. Super graphics (had the fish for several days now). My kids love it and I check on the fish once or twice a day :-). It's a very soothing visual ... Great job!
