Outa nowhere! Once in awhile, an app is released, that is completely different than anything else. This is one of em'! I have a ton of apps, (mostly games). I decided to take a chance on this, and, am glad I did!Sit back, relax, and create, (and I'm no artist)! Everything about this app speaks of quality. Yes, there are a few improvements needed, but, it looks as though the devs are going to address them, and add much more content. This app has so much potential, I will not be surprised to see it in the top 25 sellers!So devs, please add the promised added content. Everyone else, just get this app. It will be a pleasant, soothing, surprise!Edit: I've created some nice pieces, but, can't save pics of em' to show others! REALLY needs a save feature. Also, when making a piece for someone via e-mails, they can be a little too picky. This tends to ruin the soothing relaxing atmosphere of the app, as I find myself muttering things I can't write here. BUT, still a wonderful app overall! Good job devs. Hope you continue to make improvements!

I'm normally pretty frugal in the Apps Store, especially with games since I tend to use productivity Apps a lot more in the long run.When I saw this App I was instantly curious, but also almost passed it up. $3 for a game that you just shape things on? Psh, I can do better with my money. When I continued browsing the store my mind kept returning to this App. What things could I make? Would I be any good at it? I wonder what the "Addictive" part is that I read in the reviews.I decided to take a leap and purchase it, and I am so glad I did. This truly is an App for relaxation and creativity. I love making pots with friends and criteria in mind. Like a friendship vase for my dearest friend. I took our two favorite colors and created a vase in our friendship's honor.What's more is that there are challenges. That, indeed, I was not expecting. This App can also double as a brain twister when trying to achieve the look and shape of reference pictures.The only cons I can think of are small, and will hopefully be addressed with future versions. The lack of white paint is limiting, especially when I'd love to make a porcelain look. The Reference Photo challenge is a bit hard with the picture getting in the way. Perhaps it would be better in the top left hand corner? Or static so that it doesn't pop into the way. Also, I wonder if I just haven't figured it out yet, but I wonder if there's a way to change the paint brush's color? I would really like that option. There is one con that I've read that I don't agree with and that's the lack of a "How To". I think it makes it even better to have the challenge of problem solving. Figuring it out on your own is way more rewarding than copying instructions.If you want something to inspire your creativity then this is a great App. If you need a relaxing thing to do then I suggest this App as well. The nature sounds are great, and I'm always reduced to deep breathing and serene meditation in the end. All in all, the leap I took was definitely rewarded 10-fold.

This app is very fun once you learn how to manipulate the clay. I understand new brushes and handles are coming soon. This game should let you have multiple orders at once. When your client isn't happy with what you've made, they should tell you why (shape, color, etc.).Every piece you create should be gathered in a collection, even if you sell it.Also, when you have an order, what do the stars on the photo mean?

I love this app and just recently finished the quests. I like the ornaments and different materials alot. I think you should be able to see how much your pottery is worth while your making it, and add helpful hints to see what makes a pot valuable. I also think you should be able to add more than one ornament to a pot. I think it would also be really cool if you could buy pottery to try to make replicas of for after you finish all the quests.I am very pleased with this app and think it was 100% worth it and I am very convinced that this app will continue to get better and better.Please consider what I said.

UPDATE: still a 5 star app easily, however I'm really not sure about what the criteria is for passing request missions (I will create an almost identical pot to the one I'm asked for and it still is rejected), and the interface for looking at/enlarging the example photo are clunky and nonresponsive at best. On an entirely different note: ADDICTING IS NOT A WORD, PEOPLE!!! THE WORD IS ADDICTIVE, NOT ADDICTING!!!! I shudder for the future of the human race....I am absolutely in love with throwing pots on the wheel and when I saw this app, I was ecstatic. While the touch control is not as responsive as I might like, I would worry about tweaking it because it does work. This is simply a wonderful game to play. Obviously I would suggest handles and more glazes etc, but overall, this feeds my addiction. I don't have a wheel oft own so this is the next best thing :)I would like to suggest the ability to wedge the clay before putting on the wheel. That would add to the challenge and realism. Thanks so very much for making a pottery app!!!!!!

This is by far my favorite app. I finally made it pass the purple modern vase. The trick is to pull the clay upward until you see the first star light up. And then you can tell what size there looking for. The other trick is to make the bottom of the vase as narrow as you can. But, I have to admit getting the paint right was hard. Mix the pink and red together to get that bright pink look. I hope that helps Ps. Me and my boo had a ball making pots on the plane from Vegas all the way to Cabo San Lucas, and back Okay, so I just updated the app. And was extremely excited about the new features. But, was also disappointed that now I can't sell any of my potsIt also keep freezing up Please fix in the next updateHooray!!! My favorite app was finally updated. Thank you!!! I think I'm in love all over again

I waited a day or so after the recent update to edit my review just to make sure we didn't get screwed again and we didn't. Thank you for finally updating this great game. I now recommend it to everyone as long as it continues to work. So as I said before, it would be cool if we could put glazing on our pots before we fire them so that they can shine in the light and look smooth. Also it would be cool to get to zoom in on your pot and use a detail brush to make your own designs. Maybe even allow us to upload our made designs for others to download. Suddenly you guys would have hundreds of cool designs for this game and wouldn't need to do any work. It's win win :D

EDIT 2: It finally works again! All of the additions are fantastic, thank you!----------------------------I absolutely love this app! It's exactly what I've been looking for and I didn't even know it!I agree that being able to add handles and grooves would be wonderful. I also think it would be really great to be able to make our own custom brushes. My only complaint is that I wish there were even more brushes, colors and possibly even glazes to unlock.I've also encountered the "blue screen" problem, which I think is caused by pressing the Menu button after finishing your piece. It won't go back to the menu and none of the on-screen buttons work. Resetting the app (removing it from the "double-tap Home" dock) will unfreeze it, but it will eventually lock up again once you hit Menu.Still, this is probably my favorite app so far (even more than Zen Bound). Now how about one for glass blowing? :D

My 7 year old daughter and I love the app. It's addictive, and can either be "free played" or you can accept challenges to create a specific type of pottery. It's the kind of thing you can pick up and play if you have two minutes, or really get into and play for hours!Regarding the update, it works fine on my iPhone 3G. To those with trouble: did you turn off and then restart your device after installing? It is widely suggested that you reboot your device after installing ANY app. Try it and see if it works.

Good start but with some more work can be great. When I am forming the pot and grab a side, sometimes it grabs it and sometimes it doesn't, 2/3 times it doesn't. I find myself struggling to shape it how I want it. Keep in mind that im on a brand new iphone 4. We need to be able to put our finger beside the pot and run up and down it without removing our finger as it shapes nonstop based on our movements. Mainly make it easier to shape and maybe a few more things mentioned by others. Great concept tho

The app is genius and is infectiously therapeutic, but a couple if suggestions I have is work on your UI a bit to make things like the stamping tools less buggy. When you go to brush on a neat stamp and you have adequate space to apply the design, it refuses to allow you to apply it to certain regions for seemingly no reason. Also, it'd be cool to have more designs, which I'm sure you guys've heard.. Other than that though, great little time spender!

I really like the app, but there are some things which need fixing. The buttons need to be larger since I end up trying several times to access brushes as I color my pottery or to sell one I made. Also, there needs to have a larger limit to the amount of pottery you can have in your collection since I keep on having to sell ones I like and kept in order to free up room. And the reference pictures for those requests need to be larger since I often end up buying the wrong brushes for one of those projects. Other than that, I really enjoy this app.

Relaxing an I love the game twist you put on it. With your updates would be nice if I could pull with a bit more detail. Maybe a way to throw lips or add detail during the throwing process. More brushes (dots squigglies etc)and colors.It's a lot of fun, sometimes challenging. I throw obsessively. more tools for tighter detail would really help as I create ideas. Also a shelf where I can save the pots I design and go back to look at them for inspiration when I'm actually throwing at home. I REALLY enjoy this app. No bugs and hours and hours of relaxing/artistic fun!

Making pottery

Sounds dumb.. It really does, but it's actually a really cool relaxing app/game. It really is. Recreating the pottery challenges is difficult at times, but not overly hard either. It gives you a sense of accomplishment when you recreate the challenge before you. You really zone out while playing and it's a huge stews relief. I recommend the app devs, move the picture out of the way. And move the option to the top. Your fingers are always at the bottom and in the middle. It's a terrible idea to put anything in that area. Allow the picture to be zoomed, and show a star rating without needing the picture up. The graphics are good but it needs an update for ios4. I would LOVE to see updated graphics. The email and challenges are a nice touch. Selling stuff is cool. To the developers: I ran in to a glitch, and I don't know how to recreate it. I was moving my finger around on the front menu and all of a sudden it glitches and I had every pottery item in my collection. All the challenges which I hadn't even got that far. Like really elaborate Japanese pots, etc. This needs fixed. Takes the fun out of it when you're suddenly handed everything. Awesome app! I recommend highly!!!

I love love love this app!! i have an ipod touch and have had no problems with the update at all. i have completed the game and still play on frequently. I like the fact that you can work at your own pace and either complete the requests or work on your own creation and make some money.I can see lots of possibilities for future updates and although i love the game as it is i would certainly add a few more basic colours or make the mixing of colours more realistic ie yellow and blue to make a green which can be made lighter or darker depending on how its mixed. I have yet to play a game that i enjoyed so much from the start, loved the update and cant wait till you update again. its unfortunate that there seems to be a problem on some devices as i think it is a great app and deserves to be recognised as such but until the problems are sorted people will just be put off buying it!

Good game, but update was boring

This game is great if you're playing for the first time. However, the new update didn't give much as far as new features to keep people entertained. A few new handles/lids, and 3 new textures. Big deal. No new paint colors or designs/materials. No new emails with tasks to do. The handles were a nice touch, but after waiting so long for a working update (1.10 was a giant failure), I was pretty disappointed. Please release some substantial features to keep people interested who have completed the game. I find myself making my simple $850 design just to load up on coins rather than spending time to make something beautiful because there just isn't enough to add once you have used all the materials several times.
