This app is definitely one of the best prop photo apps in the app store. Why? Because it is so easy to use and the results are nothing short of amazing. I spent an hour "OldBoothing" everyone in my family numerous times and we all laughed ourselves silly. To give you an idea what a great job this app does, I did one of me, showed my sister and she honestly thought that was a high school picture of me. Wasn't sure whether or not to take that as a compliment :-) One of my favorite apps. Just hope that the developer keeps adding more props.

this is the funnest app, so well done!! I have freaked out some people with how well you can match a face in these masks!
after about five faces I noticed you could adjust the color on the mask as well as the imported photo! That really helps a ton!
I am now taking face pictures of friends and family on purpose so I can use them in OldBooth!!
I would love to see some big hair 80's rocker masks, that would be awesome!!!

I waited quite awhile thinking that it couldn't be that good! WOW, I was wrong! Get this app now while it's on sale, you won't regret it! One suggestion if possible: "Group photo" for family (freaky) photo. Update! Just showed the family at our Christmas dinner get-together. BIG HIT! Everyone was amazed and wanted me to make one of them! Heart-pounding laughter to the MAX! I do have a request: Please move the "done" button to the top of the screen, preventing consistant accidental saving! Thank you!

I got this thing on a whim and can't stop playing with it. I was laughing out loud by myself in Starbucks.
It is everything you want a silly app to be... easy... funny.... entertaining... and does exactly what it says it does. I think I will make photos of my family and use it for Christmas cards this year. Absolutely hilarious.
For the next update: Please add more faces! I want more!

... Don't you know. I say, this is rather splendid, quite the entertainer. Misses full marks though, old boy, as it's a tad pricey for what is a very simple app. Non the less, it will help with the production of fake passports for our boys working on the front lines and keep the Jerry's guessing how we did it! Bravo! Three cheers for mr developer! A few more options, like those highlighted in the review below, would be much appreciated. ------ I've just added the other star as I have discovered some more options, e.g. Double tap the circle and it flips the original photo along the vertical axis. ('er, don't you know, how spiffing, etc).

Oh my God this is such a good app!! My family & friends & I have had so much fun with it - it's just hysterical - I really haven't laughed so much in ages. If you enjoy a giggle then this app is for you! As an update please please please can we have some group shots. I know that's probably difficult to set up but it would be worth it! Also, it would be good if you could catagorise the images - 1900's, 20's 40's, 50's, 60's etc and also weddings, proms, Halloween, Christmas etc. Come on old booth!! We really need a decent update!! 

Well, it's tied with ComicZeal anyway.
I've made an embarrassing large number of old photos already.
The app is well designed and works smoothly. More templates will be more than welcome, but it's a 5-star as is.
The only improvement I'd like to see is a boost in photo contrast when you punch up the brightness. It's too easy to wash out the face.
But that's a minor quibble. I've had more fun with this app than any other. (And I've more than maxed out app slots on my iTouch.)
Make sure to upload your favorites to Flickr with an "OldBooth" tag.

The most fun with a camera I've had for ages!

OK, so the iPhone's camera is a famous under-achiever, but what if you were just using it for fun? Well OldBooth is the most fun with a camera I've had for ages! It's such a simple idea & yet produces fabulously funny shots of friends & family (& even pets!) looking like they're from the past!! So many new Facebook profile photos too!
In fact, this app was so much fun that one of my friends intends buying an iPhone partly just to have this app! An absolute classic, please keep adding more masks Luga & it'll last & last!

This is the first app I bought not knowing what it really did but by reading the positive comments I knew it had to be good. So I bought and and it is one of the best purchases I've made for my iPod. Anyone who doesn't know if they should buy it or not, go for it. The app is so well executed and the final result almost always looks amazing. The controls are really easy to use so it only takes a minute or two to have your friend or family member 'OldBoothed'. One thing I would like to see in any future updates is more 'masks'. Perhaps you could add masks of people of different ages like babies or toddlers. Overall this app is perfect! It provides so many laughs and joy. Thank you for making my iPod touch experience a little more fun and interesting.

Just as other reviews have said it really is that good and funny to c your partner or children or friends in a old style photo...i spent about 5 hours on 1st night of having this app just with photos in my photo roll and results astonished me...would love to see more masks in Victorian or group photos and can't wait for updates..brilliant 1st class app!!!.....update:-new masks out now and price reduced can't go wrong but makers where are the two hidden masks...been tryin to find them for hours..lol...look forward to Xmas update..Update:-found the 2 masks..female one is good one to put your wife/partner in...lol

The idea isn't new, but on the iPhone it's absolutely perfect! The application is very well executed and I hope we're going to get some more templates in future updates. Had great fun since I bought it an hour ago and I'm now going off to a dinner party where I'll time-warp the other guests... :-)
Wishlist: an option to change the contrast, and non-proportional scaling maybe?

I've used this app with friends and family of all ages and can guarantee it will make everyone laugh. OldBooth is a clever idea that has been expertly implemented. It looks superb and is super easy to use. You've got a possible nine screens to fill with apps and this is should on one of them. I use it to distract small children, make boring people more interesting and as an ice breaker with new acquaintances.

OldBooth is great!!! I had the Lite version for about 10 minutes before I sprung my $2.99 for the full version. I use it a lot more than my other photo apps.
It does an excellent job of bending the faces of your friends onto the dorky heads and allows you to lighten the shade till it matches.
My kids love seeing themselves!!!
Tips:
It works best if you have more than one pose from your friends for when heads are tilted slightly - helps a lot to have a choice of faces.
I usually have to lighten up the face to match. the greyscale well. Take pics of friends in good light.
To make it better - more choices, maybe some daguerreotype/antique shots from the civil war era etc. My kids like the beefcake too - not just Xmas please?
Also - take pics with their hair away from their faces and get them with their glasses off.
