What a great little app and it's free. Had a few problems setting this up as the instruction don't tell you to drop the 0 from your number when entering it on your online sky account. One that was sorted the rest is as easy as pie.Need to update this with a search window and have a way of scrolling up and down like radiotimes and then this would be an even greater app. It's free and a great tool to have to set your sky to record Match of the Day when stuck at the In-laws. LOL

I got this originally just to check the TV Listings while out. It does this perfectly. A little slow? Only if you need this info within 2 seconds. I think the load time is good.The menu is similar to the familiar Sky Menu Program Guide. Easy to use with a search facility also. Just tap in the program you are looking for and this app will tell you the time & channel number.I agree with others that a channel scroll and the HD channels would make this great app, brillant.I just got SKY+HD at home today. I managed to set the app & Sky+HD Box within a few minutes. It does require a phoneline, but only for Set-up. The SkyBox just has to clarify the settings all match up. I then removed the phoneline and everything works fine. The signal is sent very quickly.This app is amazingly easy and quicker than logging on online. And cheaper than using the text service.Once set up, using this service is FREE.It doesn't get much better than this.

I dont see what the problem is! It's so easy!1. Log onto your my sky account on your computer2. Update your account with your mobile number. This is important!!3. Go sky active4. Select remote record5. New user. 1st icon.6. Enter your mobile number7. Enter my sky login detailsIt should work! The mobile number bit is syncs with your my sky account.As soon as I set a recording it's there right away. If you have problems then you're not doing it right!!!

Instead of people saying it's crap etc, why not read through the reviews to ascertain how to make it work, but that said if your only bright enough to write "it's crap" your probably not bright enough to get it to work! It's not perfect, but it's a first attempt and it's free. If it is crashing, change time to 24hr on your phone and it should be fine (jail broken to) but again that filters out those of limited intelligence as they will only just understand the big hand and the little hand.....

Best app on iPhone, been expecting this one. A few problems exist, no way of knowing unless you can remember all the channel number which ones are HD as the channel description is off the end of the cell. I can record so much that I usually forget to record while out of the house.An HD section, series link and being able to select which Football First game from the red button is all it's lacking. Good work SKY and keep improvingFantastic

Sky+ remote record

This is by far the easiest app for remote mobile recording for the iPhone.The only issue I found with it was that my wife has the main account with sky and I added my own sky account to my wife's main account but the application would not work for my account so I just entered her account info and it worked fine, maybe this is what some people are having problems with.I just wornder how long it will be until BSKYB make an application watching live sky tv for the iPhone, maybe they could have a price to add to the sky package to include sky for iPhone.

I think the app works great! I do admit that it is sooo frustrating to get going at first but I have tried my best to explain below how to do it. 1. You need to get a sky account on the net2. You need to make sure you are the primary account holder.3. If it says that your account isn't set up for remote record - register your sky box for remote record by going through the interactive menu (the instructions are on sky.com on how to do this)4. Once this is all done try again to log in and it SHOULD work!!I hope this helps for the people who can't get it working!xx alys xx

Works really well and downloads info fast through wifi. Tried last night on the go through o2 and was good also, but obviously slower. Planner is easy to navigate, well done Sky!Easy to setup account at sky.com and use details on iPhone when on the go!Never tried titol or whatever it is called. I'll save my £2 by having a free app from sky!Btw, for those wondering, I don't work for Sky, I work for a private health insurer so all of my reviews are non-biased!!

Great app, glad that with the latest update I no longer need the 24 hour clock enabled. I use this app a lot and it will record whatever I set. You do NOT even need your Sky+ box hooked up to the phone line, works great without it.Two improvements I would suggest is that you can scroll up and down as well as side to side. The arrows get kind of annoying. Also, I would like the app to run a little quicker, it is quite slow at downloading the listings.I think it is definetly worth 5 stars even at it's current stage. Thanks Sky for this great app.

...yeah I cannot decide if I like it or not. It would help if it said 'log out' instead of showing 'log in' each time. Plus, it should display the account name so you were satisfied you were correctly logged in. A bit hit and miss with recording shows as well. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. So not reliable. Still amazing though how it works etc but abit Big Brotherish that Sky can control your box via your iPhone. Would be great to incorporate series link as I have Sky HD. Improve the controls so it is easier to navigate between screens ie using the scroll action. Overall as it didn't cost me anything I cannot complain to much. In fact I would pay for the app if they tweaked it as suggested.

Got a problem with a lot of the reviews on here this is an app that enables you to record tv when you are out and about and have maybe forgot to record something, it is not designed to replace your sky remote control, i use this app about three times a week to record something i have forgotten to when i am out of the house. It begs the question if someone is using this app all the time are they ever home to watch the programmes they are recording!!!

I am using remote record already for a while. I input my account details and choosen programs to record appear almost instantly in my planner on the skybox. Thanks for this great free app :-)
I would like to see some sort of notification though once you are logged in. The login button doesn't change etc.
If people have problems using this app then there is a problem on with the setup on sky.com as this works 100000%

This so works a dream hdsky+ or just sky+ your just need to set up a accout at sky.com use your sky card number when it asks for it . Once you jave a account activat remote record in at the my sky tab . Next to interactive then sky active ok your sky+ or hd products , remote record add user. Follow the ideat proof instrushions then log in to so with sky.com user name and password . Same pass word for sky player and sky.com accout accsess.An numpty can use it remember 1 box per phone 5 phones per box .if you don't have sky it's a free tv guide so what a good so hay.

Well after a stressful time setting up it works at last. Follow this guide:-1) you need to be a primary user. If you not you need to sign in to Sky.com and then navigate to billing centre. 2) then you need to upgrade your account and click on the icon. Then hopefully that's it and your all done. 3) if all else fails call sky, after 3 failed attempts with operators the 4th was a great help. I hope this helps all you people who have had trouble just like me. Good luck and enjoy the freedom you will now have with this App.

I downloaded this app, mainly because it was free. But also because I want to remote record.
Does the job, has the Sky branding, looks like the EPG on my set top box.
Couple of points.
1: It says wait 30 mins for remote recording to reach the set top box. But I found it to be instantous, I feel this is just a get out clause for Sky incase you miss the latest episode of Jeremy Kyle.
2: Make sure you phone is in 24hr mode otherwise it will crash - I have found this happen in other apps, so I wonder if it is a flaw in the iPhone??
3: There are some people on here saying it looks dull and boring, however I think it was designed with the set top box in mind.
I hope they further this app and allow for series linking and the HD channels.
