Description:
Does your partner sleep when they snore? Is your partner in denial about themselves that they are snoring? Do you have to use ear plugs or sleep in another room because of your partners snoring? Snore Patrol is a fun, intuitive and easy to use iPhone application that will allow you to record and measure the loudness of your partners snoring so that later you can show them visually and audibly how loud it really is. How it Works: The application uses the built in mic in the iPhone to record the sound around the phone, and then measures the sound against a decibel reading. All you have to do is start the app and hit the record button and when you are done, you hit stop and you can replay that sequence as many times as you want. How to use: 1. Start the application 2. Press the record button 3. When you are done press the stop button (same location as record button). 4. When you are ready to play it for someone press the play button. Feedback: We are always looking to enhance our application and make sure that it is up to date. If you have any comments or feedback please let us know. Graph By: tnology - 19-Jul-2009 Version: 1.1 I'd love to see it generate some sort of graph, over the course of the night, with it's meter data.
Wow By: Fannie wrecker - Jul 21, 2009 Version: 1.1 It's a good thing this is free
Wait for snore monitor (3.0 support) By: Packetcop - Jul 19, 2009 Version: 1.1 Should give ability to show decibel peaks and listen to just them. Currently you have to listen o the entire recording. And that's seemingly impossible since the app seems to automatically trigger launching safari to show it's ad during playback! And when you go back to the app, your recording isn't saved and is no longer accessable.
So- cute app to show someone but not functional.
I have to listen to the whole night to find peaks? By: joseph_l - Jul 18, 2009 Version: 1.1 If you want to know how much you snored, you have to listen to the entire night to hear it! Not even a peak meter to show the loudest the snore was? Why would I want to spend eight hours listening to snores from a full nights sleep. The software should tell you when you snore and how loudly. Owell.
Snore patrol By: Capital O - 29-Jul-2009 Version: 1.1 This app is almost an exact replica of the sister app "Noise Patrol" by the same developers. The main difference is the ability to record and playback the ambient sound and noise levels over a period of time. This is the only meter out there with a recording feature. It no longer has a digital read of the average sound levels. Apart from that, the same comments apply to this as to "Noise Patrol". It is so inaccurate (by up to 40dB) that it has no useful value at all. It needs a serious upgrade to the sound level engine, and soon. If this is done, it may be useful , especially the ability to record and play back a period of sound with dB readings. And for more serious use, the ability to change the skin to get rid of the cartoon characters, a calibration and sensitivity adjustment, rotating display etc. I look forward to upgrades.
Why is this only in pink? By: Mmmiles - 18-Jul-2009 Version: 1.1 I got this because my girlfriend wakes me up, not the other way around. You ladies do know you snore as well, right? Neutral color or at least a tad more neutral gender.
