I love it! By: Prissydd - Oct 1, 2009 Version: 1.5 My cox cable went out Tuesday night w/only 15minutes to go of the Reunion episode of NCIS. I frantically called Cox and was told it was an area outage and would take a couple of hours to correct. Cox incorrectly told me that CBS was on their OnDemand channel, but such was not the case. So I checked out my recently downloaded TV.com app, and there it was! Never have to worry about missing the last few minutes of a show again! And for those who say I could just watch it online: cable out/so is Internet. Plus I love being able to watch the CNET videos on new technology. I highly recommend this app.
Very Nice App By: Imbd - May 25, 2009 Version: 1.1 I love this app. CBS is my most watched channel on my tv, but when I miss a recording CBS doesn't play well on my computer. Thanks to you, I can now catch any missed episodes on my iPod Touch through wi-fi. It works great! Very clear picture and I have no problem with lip sync like some have written. Transition from one part to next loads well and continues playing. Good job! Keep the updates coming.
Works Well On Wi-Fi, Great Quality By: kaliko - Feb 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 I watched a CBS News program, a CNET video, and most of Star Trek 1.20 before writing this review. I was using a Wi-Fi connection with my 1st Gen iPhone. The video quality is EXCELLENT, the audio is excellent, and the user interface of the app is excellent. I can honestly say that this app, if it continues to perform at this level and better, will completely replace all TV watching for me. It's way better than Hulu, for example, in that now, finally, I can have on-demand TV basically whenever I like without having to get my laptop out. I would be willing to pay a monthly subscription for this level of quality. The app is well written and performs as promised.
Fantastic, this version nails it By: Bdub801 - Mar 13, 2009 Version: 1.0 All of you review natzis out there that just love the fact that apple gave you a high horse where you can sit and hand out judgements, need to fairly evaluate this and give it the credit it deserves.
Start trying harder at work and maybe you will get promoted so you can harshly judge your peers instead of great developers.
While NBC drags their feet in the iPhone market, CBS is paving the way. And doing a great job with it. Download this and give it 5 stars, if for nothing else than to show developers and apple that we want more free web based media.
worthy update By: OSUBeaverBeliever - May 1, 2009 Version: 1.1 TV.com has improved! There are many full episodes, which is what I really wanted in the first place. Now, for the first time, I can watch How I Met Your Mother and become familiar with this hilarious show. Loading was a snap, and I like the convenience of searching by CBS property, show name, and perhaps most importantly, a list of shows with full episodes. I can even watch Family Ties, a childhood favorite. I look forward to more shows and further updates, but will enjoy this for now. Oh, and most of all, I love that it's FREE!
Saves my marrage!! Great app. Love it. By: Goldy540 - Mar 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 Not sure what the complaints about. Free app and works great and fairly smooth. On wifi it's amazing. Using my edge on first generation iPhone also pretty good except have about a 40 second wait before she starts. So when I watch Startek or other full episode programs I actually listen to my wife's bla bla bla during these short intervals when we sit in NYC traffic. So in short, cures my roadrage and helps my marrage!! Rob
Great app but... By: Apple Artistic - Apr 20, 2009 Version: 1.0 Well for starters this is great idea for an app but the video qulity can be cloudy and fuzzy(that is the best way I can describe it). There aren't that many full episodes(for the shows I like at least). But that is only the bad stuff, it actually has good video streaming and if you are patient you will open this app and find a suprise of your fav shows that are full episodes. With the update the video qulity is slightly better and there are more full episodes that are easy to find. But I like this app so I can watch my CSI Miami, NY, and original
great start By: Dehj - Apr 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is the first app that I've seen that allows you to watch full length episodes on your iPhone. They are cut into multiple pieces based on the length, but thats a minor inconvience. The selction of full length features is currently limited, but they have some pretty good stuff. If they add more shows and set the episode segments to automatically go in sequence this would easily be my favorite app. Oh yea, and its free!!!
Please add support for iPod-TV cable By: CHBCHBCHB - Jul 16, 2009 Version: 1.3 Overall this app is pretty good. I am going on vacation in another country soon so I wanted to make sure I was still able to watch my shows while I was there. I was also planning on bringing my iPod-TV connector to be able to watch them on the TV in my hotel room. However, I tried this out on Apple's iPod-TV Cable and only the audio was played on the TV and the video stayed on my iPhone. Anyway, the ability to watch videos on TV using Apple's iPod-TV cable would be a great improvement to this app.
Good app By: ytfthoohgyhyf - Jul 9, 2009 Version: 1.3 This is just like their website, except that unlike their site, they don't have episode numbers, or all seasons of the classics, like with Macgyver they only have about 20 episodes.
The lastest update fixes the syncing problem. But when it goes to play the next part of a show, you'll start hearing a couple seconds of the begining of the previous part, and it takes awhile to load.
The people that are asking for more channels, there not going to, this is a CBS app, so only the stuff that CBS owns are the only shows that are gonna be on here.
But I wished they had full episodes of Two and a Half Men on their site.

I like it By: nelnel76 - Nov 7, 2009 Version: 1.5 I have had this one my phone for a while and today is the first day that I have used it. I am watching As The World Turns (full episode) and I have watched Young and The Restless (full episode) I watched them using wifi and I have not had any trouble. I have an iPhone 3GS (don't know if it makes a difference). I also have Edge in my area, is there any way that you guys can make this work with it. Please add a cartoon channel if possible like Nick. It would be great too. Thanks.
Geniuses By: Angry hermit - Mar 25, 2009 Version: 1.0 It's from CBS Interactive,so your not comedy for the braindead, read:Family Guy.that's on Fox! You not going to get House,My Name is Earl,or anything else not associated with CBS. Thusfar, what I've tried I've liked. There is abit of a lag though. I've watched full eps. of HIMYM and str trk and overall I've enjoyed the experience. It's tv on the iPhone. Now there's something to watch while waiting in line.
Way to go CBS! By: mepilot1 - Feb 27, 2009 Version: 1.0 The rest of the TV and Cable providers should follow suit!
Distribution over the Net is the new free airwaves of the past. If we have Internet access, then give us the shows free. We'll accept advertising.
And we like to watch TV on our mobile devices and on the go. Let us load up shows on our mobile devices so we can play them in our car video systems for our kids like TiVo.
Keep it up CBS. Keep on improving this. We like the way Hulu.com does their setup.
Heck, just make a deal with iTunes so we can just download your episodes and watch them offline.
Works just fine for me By: Trucker Chick - Dec 17, 2009 Version: 1.5 By me being out on the road, I miss slot of my favorite shows...but not anymore, i just turny phone on and select what I wanna watch and bingo I'm watching my missed shows. As far as the shows being 5 or 6 minutes long, that's why it says part 1 of whatever. If u cut the commerials out of the shows they would only be about that long anyway. But I would like to see more full episodes of more shows, that would be GREAT!!!!!
It's free and great for catching up on your CBS shows By: Feurety - May 16, 2009 Version: 1.1 Good app. Can be slow at times. Fast forwarding/rewinding definitely needs some work. But overall, its great and works well at home on wifi and out where there's 3G coverage. Also for those whining for Family guy and other shows- this app is made by CBS Corp.. Not FOX.. not ABC... They are NOT going to add shows from other networks/non-affiliates that they do not own/partnership with to their app. Learn to read and understand what you read before you down-vote a decent app because it doesn't have another network's TV shows on it. This is not for watching full episodes from other networks. Just full episodes from CBS and clips from the company's other holdings (CW etc).
Good, needs full episodes (not sections) By: Intrepidforce - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have been looking for tv on the iPhone for some time now. This is an easy to use app with some good shows and clips. It needs to have more sports full length shows and more full length tv shows. Possibly made for tv movies would be a nice touch. I don't like having to download the full length episodes pieces at a time. I really like the way the app looks and it ease of use. The channel scroll on the header is pretty cool and the search feature is cool. Please take this for what it's worth. I download lots of apps but only keep a few. I will keep this one to see if it gets better. Great job and thankyou for this app.

CBS off to good start with this app By: Dragon_of_Emry - Apr 29, 2009 Version: 1.1 The recent update fixed many of the complaints I had with this app: screen size is now defaulted at full screen and the chapters of full eps now queue automatically. In addition, the amount of full eps available has roughly doubled. Good job!
Some additional things I would like to see are improvements to the video quality, improvements to the way the content menu is displayed- such as displaying eps in order and loading all available eps in one scrolling list rather than blocks of four, and some kind of message board feature where viewers can rate and discuss shows.
I applaud CBS for being ahead of other major networks in releasing a way to view their content on the iPhone. I also appreciate that CBS is also listening to users by adding more full eps and implementing other changes as well. I hope more full eps continue to be added in the future as well. One thing worth mentioning is that many CBS shows considered to be "on the bubble" this season, such as Eleventh Hour, Without a Trace, and Cold Case do not have full eps online or in this app.
