With all the hate going on, I thought it was going to be another crAPP on my phone. But after having help from customer service for my access code( their # is easily available from setup page!) I realized how much this is a great app. Yeah, you can go on safari and log on, but because of my fat, sausage fingers ( come on, YOU know you have them) I don't have time to zoom In on screens and do all that. I don't know for credit card only, but don't care since I have a banking account with them! Sorry credit card suckers!

I was very pleased to see when I logged into my Citibank account online that Citi finally released CitiMobile for the iPhone. The application worked without a hitch, and activation was without problem. The application runs smoothly, and gives me all the information I'd need while away from a computer to access the full version of citibank.com. Transfers, bill payments, and branch/ATM locator services all in the palm of my hand. Thanks Citi - the wait was well worth it!

It took me 10 minutes to set up access, and only cuz my access code was 4 digits long so I had to change to 6, I have several bank accounts and although chase comes close, they can't beat citi. This mobile app is better than chase's and even when I was using safari to log on to the actual website it was also better, so to those ppl who still can't log on it might be just a lack of tech skills, but don't give up the app is worth it. Just hope Citi stays alive so we can keep having awesome online banking

This is a great app. I have been using it since it first came out. I would like to see a small improvment on the credit card interface. It's nice to know my total balance and cash advance amount, but I would also lime to see what my avalible credit is. I would also like to b able to setup payments and transfers to happen in the future, like I can through the online portal. I would also like to find the closest branch and/or atm using the gps in the phone Otherwise, this is a great app.

For all you complainers out there FOLLOW THESE STEPS! 1. Log on to myciti.com 2. Click on Service Center 3. Under account services & enrollment click on CITIMOBILE 4. Choose your carrier, device, & then enter your phone number 5. You're going to receive 2 texts. One of them has your activation code 6. Go to the link it provides & it's going to take you to iTunes & download the app 7. Enter the information on the app 8. Your password is your telephone access code. MUST BE 6 DIGITS!! If you don't have it go online & reset it or call customer service 9. Then you should have no issues. If you experience problems call 1-800-374-9700 **it's an app that has problems just like everything else**

I am a Citi banker for a long time and an iPhone user since Day 3 of the 1st generation iPhone, so this app is obviously welcome on my phone. With that, it's an absolutely well thought out app and it's very useful for checking balances, transfers, paying bills, etc. I will say that I understand where the frustration lies for the people who have had trouble in setting it up but here's the trick: YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A TELEPHONE ACCESS CODE SETUP PRIOR TO INSTALLING THIS APP. SET IT UP ON THE CITI SITE UNDER THE MOBILE BANKING TABS IN SUPPORT. Then, you can login with your access code (which is really the telephone access code). Once you have that working, you're good to go.

This app is simply AWESOMESAUCE. I want to personally thank Citibank for making this great little app. I don't know why I This app is one thing.........and that thing is AWESOMESAUCE. I can't believe I simply refused to try it. Any Citibank customer can do the basics on their Iphone regardless of where they are at and the layout is done VERY well. I dont know about anyone else but this is MORE than one needs on a phone. Check balances AND transactions, transfer cash between accounts and even make payments. THANK YOU CITIBANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The Iphone continues to awe me even though I have been using it for years.

To all the people who don't know how to use a computer or a phone, go take some classes. All you need to do is set up a telephone pin online(6 digits). Pick your iPhone as your phone and at&t for your carrier and get an activation code. This isn't science people, just plug it in. Oh and you can't get codes and pins through customer service, that's a no brainer. This is a sold app, just waiting for the next update to view credit card transactions! Good job citi

Considering the other isues on Citi's plate, I'm glad they made the effort to put this app together. I had a feeling it would be much longer before it arrived. Now that it is here, I'm really happy to have the touch and go access to my accounts and not have to rely on pinching/zooming on the site. Looking forward to more additions down the road though, especially the ability to transfer to external accounts. Otherwise, bravo Citi and thanks.

Solution for enrollment error

I recently tried to install this application and had an error when entering the authorization code from text I received. It said I needed to re-enroll my account. After doing this about 8 times and being on the phone with citimobile a few times I figured it out. My wife's phone works fine but mine didn't. The problem was that my wife and I share joint citibank accounts. On the citimobile settings it had my wife's debit card number but not mine ( even though you can add more than 1 phone number in citi mobile, DON'T). The cellphone # is linked to the card number) SOLUTION: first make sure you're online separately from your phone, for joint accounts each person has to have their own login to citibank ( you'll need your account #, ATM pin, and card number to setup a new user login)( yes all your accounts will still be there). Once you have done that, verify your own info and phone number for the online account and setup your 6 digit phone access code. Last steps: go to citimobile under the service center tab. Setup your phone ( take note of the last 4 of the card # because it should be yours). You need to remove your phone and add it again and then reinstall the citi application on your iPhone. If it doesn't work you may have to wait a couple minutes. Mine gave me an error the 1st time but then worked on the 2nd time. Hopefully this helps everyone about to throw their phone. Update: after installing I notice that you have to logoff or close the application after being idle for a few minutes. I guess it's nice for security; but since you can't see the full account # or make transfers to external accounts from the app there is no need. Either way this should answer the question of people getting error during transfers. Just logout and log back in and it should work.

I liked the application very much. Unlike PNC Mobile, it was not hard to activate my iphone and unlike PNC I can access to my account :)
BTW, customer service representative was knowledgable and helped my through the 6 digit access code creation.
One big missing piece in the application is the citi credit card access from the application. I would like to pay my citi credit card via this application but I do not want to pay it from my citi checking account.

Despite what everyone else says this app is great! I love it. I can quickly access my account, transfer funds, search for branches and ATMs near me, and set up bill payments on the go. Activation was a little tricky but when it really comes down to it, if ur having problems I am positive it's due to user error. I changed my telephone access code and the activation was flawless. If u check ur account at least once a day, then I would definately reccommend this app. 5 STARS!!

This is great. I've been waiting for a long time for Citibank to come out with an app for the iphone and they have finally delivered. And it's an actual app, too. Not like the chase or BOA ones that use "webportals" designed for the iPhone interface. While the inital setup might take some time to get going, once you are done it works like a charm! All you have to do is use your telephone code to log-in and everything is there waiting for you! Hopefully in the future they will add some other features, but until then, i'm quite happy with the app that I have!

It's a good start, thank you Citi, but if you made the following updates you would get 5 stars: 1) Reduce the clutter on the Accounts Summary screen. Just show me the Account Name, the balance, and an arrow to the next page for a detailed view. Instead of a link for "Recent Activity" and "Search Activity" for each account on the summary page, I should be able to just click on the account and the next page should give you options and automatically show your account activity, just like Citibank online! The summary screen should be clean and fit on one screen without the need to scroll. 2) Need to add Citi Credit Card Account activity, just like you see online! 3) I should be able to see all of my Citi accounts, including my IRA, Brokerage Account, Mortgage, etc...

Overall it is usefulbut could be polished in these areas: - respond to touches faster on the type the secret number option. Better yet, start up with that ready to be displayed - make the default action on viewing an account the recent transactions, not the available real/theoretical values - on transfers, there is some oddity on the places that you need to tap to go through the various steps. Seems a bit broken an less than trust inspiring - let us name the accounts! I am good with numbers but just the three digits to I'd accounts is a bit of a hassle. Thanks for the app and I hope to see improvements.

Great Application But One Feature Should Be Improved

As previously stated by others, a great application, but one feature needs improvement. When using the location feature, the intial page you get is extremely sparse - each listed location shows only a street/avenue number, no town where the street or avenue is, no statement as to whether it is a 7-11 or not - i.e. what should I look for when I'm looking for the address, etc. Other than this one criticism, the program is well designed and extremely useful.

I had no trouble setting this app up, and didn't mind the access code procedure at all. If you have an iPhone with text messaging, and you do it from a real computer (so you can follow the steps easily), it's a no brainer. The app us much faster than using safari and you can do almost everything. One thing I'd like to see is the merchant name listed in the recent activity list, like in Mint, so you don't have to guess who you spent that money with. I know you can tap it and it will show, but would rather it just be there. No inter-institutional transfers available at this time.

Compare this app to AT&T mobile banking app, I couldn't find detail credit card information on this application (payment due date, reward point, account history, etc). On the other hand, unlike the AT&T mobile app, this application allows me to pay my credit card bill from my checking account.
In general, this is the best mobile banking application I can find on iPhone. It allows me to manage my Citibank banking activities from iPhone anywhere I want. a must keep iPhone app.

This is very useful indeed and it does work well. It is true that if you have your Mac nearby it's much easier to register the Citimobile account on that instead of figuring it out on an iPhone with limited "real estate" and confusing instruction. My better half did that and it took him a mere 5 minutes (if that) and everything was up and running. On the other hand my laptop was taken back to the Apple Store for repair, it took me about half an hour to get it all figured out on an iPhone alone. We have been waiting for this for such a long time. Citibank Hong Kong has had iPhone support for online banking for a very long time, and I bank with them too, now it's good to see Citibank USA has finally caught up with its counterpart. The usual basic functionalities are there and working well, e.g. Bill Pay and Transfers etc. It would be very nice though if the linked Citi credit cards are also available as well. And don't tell me credit card is a different operation - if the account shows up on my bank statement I want it on my iPhone App to. It would also be really cool to be able to view cheque images similar to what we do now on the regular site. Thanks Citibank, please keep those cool enhancements coming.
