Every other bank has an app, now the commonwealth bank finally does!! I have waited forever for this! If you have ever tried using the normal netbank on your iphone, you'll know how hard it is to navigate and how slow it is. This is much better! I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't leave the app to go into safari, and instead just be able to do your stuff in the app. Other wise, I'm very happy with it.

This has to be the most useful app on my iPhone and iPod. Great to see the CBA is moving foreward.I use this app everyday if not twice a day. I just can't say enough about this app or the CBAUPDATE: to the fools that think giving you mobile number to your own bank is a sham. Idiot, have you even thought well what if something goes wrong! Well now the bank can ring you quickly and fix it. Also with SMS security you get a 100% guarantee that you ever become a victim of I'd fraud you get your money back!! You just log into netbank on your computer go to security and click register for SMS security, no need to call customer service.

My most usefull app. I can check my balance, transfer funds and pay bills on the run. I had to use the normal PC netbank layout on other mobile models that I had before iPhone but this app is designed specifically for iPhone and so the layout makes it sooo easy to navigate and use. There's also a GPS ATM locator that uses the maps app that automatically came with iPhone. Thanks CBA!!! I know this app is linked to the safari netbank to keep bank details secure. If it was seperate from safari, i would be concerned with The security of my bank details.

This is a really handy app! Its the little things like this that help banks stand apart from each other. Well worth banking with Commonwealth to get this functionality. Very quick GPS locating of ATMs and branches which link to Google Maps so you can get exact directions on how to get there.
The iPhone version of Netbank is very sleek and I find it more handy than logging in on their full website (which is great too). User Interface is designed for the iPhone, not just a shrunken version of full site. Provides all the functionality you need for mobile banking.
Need to transfer funds to your CC? Have it topped up before the cashier can ring up the bill!
Seriously this just adds to the awesome functionality of the iPhone. Im waiting for the day when I can pay with nothing but my iPhone and we wont even need cards!

Quite a lot of haters here for this app. Yes, it *IS* a native application. Yes, it *DOES* currently just do a Safari launch/redirect. But it's perfect for the tens of thousands of people who have *NO IDEA* how to set up a web clip shortcut. I have no doubt that more functionality will come (eg full location awareness etc), but - for now anyway - transaction info, current balances, paying bills etc all lives in the cloud anyway! CommBank (probably after what happened with the CommSec app) has delivered what we wanted with a killer webapp. Like it or not, folks, iPhone is not the only channel for CBA. We can't reasonably expect them to pander to every whim of the 5% of the Australian mobile phone user base (0.05%? of CBA's customer base) with an iPhone. PLEASE keep developing the native app, CBA! (...and credit, where most certainly due, for efforts so far!)

From Adelaide... Just got back from holidays in Queensland (Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast & Brisbane). This app was a "God-send". The ATM finder was very handy. Hopefully with iPhone 3.0 OS they'll update the finder with Google Maps built into the app itself. The netbank link isn't hugely vital, but it's a handy portal. One less finger tap using a bookmark from Safari bookmarks. Good reminder on my main page to keep an eye on the finances. Big ups to the CommBank team... Thanks for the app and plz keep updating it.

Better than paying $2 at an atm

Firstly, those who complain about it opening in Safari are stupid - yeah, it's real safe to take the information from a highly secure website and place it in an app. Real safe. Secondly, i use an iPod touch, and the sms security thing took literally ten seconds - just use your proper phone to do it.This app is -not- just a bookmark. Get it. Obviously not for full on banking, but why would you do that on an iphone??

It wouldn't be so they could update the site, day or night, when they need to PROTECT their clients with instant security patches and the like, rather than submitting the changes to Apple and waiting the lengthy periods for Apple to test and approve changes to the app, would it?Do you understand you are typing in your u/n and p/w to access YOUR BANK ACCOUNT?? this is not facebook, this is your money you fools!!Good work CBA, one of Aust. most secure online banks. Keep it up.

Is it really a big deal that this is not and "app" but a bookmark? This is for the people who do not know about CBA's netbank for mobiles. Its a great app even if it is just a "web-app", sure it doesn't provide the full funtionality of the normal netbank site but its a great start. Also when they decide to upgrade it, you shouldnt have to bother about updating any of the software on your phone. That and its available to other mobile devices, so they have provided a great service to more customers than a iPhone "app" could. Good work CBA.

First thing, the interface has been made very handy and dont have to be Zoomed repeatedly like using netBank in Safari and is quicker as well .. I have been using Netbank since I grabbed iphone 2 years ago.... And trust me.. this app has all tools that Netbank has and is easy and far better to use than normal Netbank link in Safari... Has been waiting for it since Westpac launched its iphone app. 5 star on functionality and ease of use .. Rajan Pandey Sydney

Love it! does what it needs to be done but would also be nice to incorporate a personal budget planner that works with your accounts somthing similar to a mini version on Ms money or something like that, when you do decide to make the app native to the iPhone. 4 stars for the app 5 if it was fully native to iPhone. Looking forward to updates!!!Update: I'm sick of numbskulls who complain to people who are upset that the app is not a full native app. Well it should be! It will run faster will still maintain a level of top security and could very well be a good way to help customers manage their money by providing extra functionality. so stop complaining to us giving Fred back take it on the head and do what your customers are giving you feedback for. other than that it's a great app that does what I need it to do but can also be improved to be even better and seemless personal financial management tool.

What they are offering is an iPhone compatible banking interface. What better way to make it easy to locate than to distribute it via a small app in the I store. You are not meant to evulste the app... It is mearly a convient way to locate the banking interface... If you want bookmark the page & delete the app, there is no need to wine about it. As for combank being behind.... Where are all the other aussie banks iPhone interfaces?

Great for me! Nice and simple! Which is what i need! Only gave it four cause i thought they were a bit slow getting it up and running. What's with all the CBA haters?! And can I just say, CBA is one of the best banks regarding fees and service! Having recently done a lot of research and changed my accounts over I would know! Everyone seems to hate everything about banks! Suck it up people! You can't get everything for nothing! Expect to pay fees here and there! They are giving us a service, it's only fair! They are a business after all.
