Very well done I bought this app and thought it was great and then version 2 came out and it got better. Great expense software with great reporting included. The interface is clean, nice looking and very easy to use. I would love to see the ability to run multiple budgets by type such as one for business expenses and one for personal and so on. I'd give it more stars if I could. If you are expense tracking you need this software as a small business owner this app has helped me greatly already.Update: This update is to give a 5 star rating again all the updates have been great. To those who have given the low ratings because of "no deposits or wanting to change the amounts" I personally thought the whole point of a budget was to stay within a set amount of money and track what your spending on to help you stay with in your budget and that is what this software does. Awesome job love this app great app and very professional look.

Makes the iPhone a better tool to carry.

I've been using this App for a couple of months now, and it is my #1 go-to App on the iPhone. It makes the iPhone a better tool. I love the reports and their export function, which I use to import into my Excel budget spreadsheet at home. I enjoy the option of being able to take a picture of the receipt for an expense, too. The catagories included are well thought out and arranged, but I also added a few more of my own, too.
The budget side of this App is very nice, and the simple graphic displaying it is consice and to the point. Modifying one's budget is simple, too. It's just what I needed to keep track of expenses without being bothered with tracking the income side. If you require an App to log and report your expenses, this is it!

Come on ppl, download this app and save the economy!

This app is more popular in most other countries then U.S. It’s currently #2 overall in Italy and #5 overall in Germany. It makes me wonder why we Americans don’t download apps like this one to get our acts together on spending! We are so consumed with silly apps and tones of 99 cents time wasters! Finance apps like ixpenseit is by far the most useful app in the App Store. So come on people, do youself and this country a favor, download this app and control your spending!

This seems to clear things upAnother response from iXpenselts.....Sorry if the previous email response was not clear. iXpenseIt's focus was mainly expense tracking, it has a robust budget function which can be used as a way to budget their income/expense. You can setup up custom budget and have a weekly budget that is different or the same with roll over on/off. So it is possible to setup weekly budget that is different.Another scenario is to log income as credit number (negative number) the same way as logging expense records. This will also achieve similar result.As for the pure income module, as mentioned in previous email, the change needed behind the scene is quiet drastic and is a feature we been working on for a while now and mostly likely will be a separate app as the intended use is much broader.(This app should be ready in about two months)So there you have itThis is a home run in my book, cya

So I've been using this wonderful app for the past 2 months, and I definitely see a siginificant improvement in my compulsive spending habits that I've had before--I never knew where my paychecks disappeared to before I got my iPhone & iXpenseIt. (It was one of the first apps I downloaded.) Entering each expense makes me think twice about shelling out my credit card from my wallet, because I want to keep that little battery icon from going into the red zone towards the end of the month. Also the Reports & Graphs makes me conscious of what area I am spending on a lot, and where I can cut down on.
Already made my husband and many of my friends devoted users of the app, definitely a great buy.

Great app! I am finally keeping track of ALL my expenses. Easy to set up. Easy to make entry during busy day. Easy to backup to computer. Easy to export to Excel. Great graphs and pie charts. Very flexible and No complainst. One funny bug if you search for somthing with an apostraphy in the name it crashes to desktop. For examplen I eat and drink at a local bar called Rick's. If is search "Rick" it gives me every time I ate at Rick's. Searc for "Rick's" crash. But besides that bug this is the most useful apo I have ever used on the Iphone. 

I am so critical but this app is now part of my everyday. I was looking for something that would help me keep track of all the little expenses from my .99c gum to my most expensive purchases. This program helps me see which areas of my life are using up my money. THE MOST USEFUL APP EVER. Constant updates, customizable, easy to use and DAMN easier to get addicted to. It helped me save thousands of dollars that I had no idea where it was going to. This could easily be worth a lot of money. BUY IT, if you need to keep track of your expenses and have easy comparisons between months. But make sure you use it for any little purchase, after a while you will have it customized for your needs.

Love it! I've been drinking the Dave Ramsey cool-aid for many years now and this is an incredibly helpful tool. It's a little slow going and cumbersome at first (building budget w/categories & subcategories, vendors, etc.) but once that base gets established individual entries are a snap and this thing does all the rest. Here are a couple suggestions I think would make this even better:- Someone else mentioned this and I echo it. It would be great to include an alphabet bar (like in contacts) in the vendor list. That list grows quickly.- The core of this program is centered around a budget. However, on business trips I don't have a budget, per se, but I do track what I've spent. An expense tracker independent of a budget would be a good option. It's queepy but would keep from working "in the red".This app is well worth the $5. I would even pay more for it...but too late for that.

This App works great. No need to look any further.

First time giving a review but I felt it was necessary. This app leaves nothing to be desired. It is easy to use, totally comprehensive for my needs, and priced right. Backing up is amazingly easy, and the export feature worked like a charm.
The developer gives you 50 items to input to make sure that you are comfortable using the program, which is the main reason I tried the lite version of the progam first, because with the 5-7 entries that most programs give you, there is no way to know how the program really works. Lots of reporting options and easy to sort and understand. Only thing I would change at this point is to have the ability to edit the user input information, such as vendors and additional categories. If you misspell or want to make a change, you have to add a new category, edit the original entries to put it into the new category and then erase the old category. A small thing, I know, but thought I would mention it. This is an example of what the iPhone can do. DON'T think about it. If you want to know where you are spending your hard earned money, get this program.

This is an excellent app for tracking personal and business spending. Tracking income is possible albeit a bit of work around is required. Took me a little while to get use to this app because it has a lot of "unspoken" features such as swipe from left to right to delete categories or subcategories. There's also the build-in backup / restore feature which is so vital to ensure data safety, this feature is hidden under the "settings" section. Overall the developer did an outstanding job of pack in many features yet able to make the app appear clean and easy to use. This is the challenge many other similar apps have failed to achieve, and iXpenseIt seems to have gotten it right. For this reason, it deserves 5 stars!!!

Awesome, although not perfect it leaves other similar products on this store for dead. Like another users comment if you include setup weekly or otherwise instead of monthly it would improve the product. I did have some problems recently with a monthly calender coming up each time I went to enter data but it seems to have sorted itself out. Possibly the option to EMAIL GRAPH'S and monthly data to personal email accounts would be a bonus. BUT AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT, one of the most used, well set out and practical programmes I have purchased from this store.

It just keeps getting better! I've used this app to track expenses since it launched, and it has helped my budget a great deal. I just downloaded the latest update 8-26-09, and the new vendor index made a perfect app even better. This is the very best application in the app store, backed by a top notch design team that wrote the book on customer service. Thanks for everything!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Excellent customer service and support to go along with the best iPhone app! My questions have been answered promptly by competent, caring support staff. The program is helping me to get a handle on my family's expenses. Easy to use in the stores where you spend the money, and excellent export feature to backup on your desktop at home.

By far the best value iPhone app I've purchased. Flexible budgeting options - you can choose to run in simplified or detailed budget modes with the later allowing budgets on individual expense categories. Lots for flexibility for adding your own custom expense categories too. Neat reporting and export capabilities. It's fast & easy to use, which is important for me when entering purchases while I'm out & about.
Most importantly this app really helps keep my personal spending under control - it's paid for itself many, many times over.

I haven't written review of this app even though I have been using it since the day it came on App store. But I thought now is the best time because I'm so dependent on this app now and the latest update resolved one of my biggest inconveniences I had with this app which is a easier way to browse the vendors. I have so many vendors and it used to be a big pain in the neck every time I have to scroll back and forth to get the vendor I need. Anyway great update guys., Keep it up. This app is awesome.

This application seemed to have everything broken down in an intuitive way. There were lots of useful subcategories, it was easy to search past purchases, I could make notations on specific purchases, all great features. However the budget idea seems flawed in that it is highly unlikely (for me at least) that your budget is a consistent amount every day, week, month etc. Certain variables come in where you may have more or less to spend in which case the ability to add a deposit is absolutely crucial. You can do a pseudo deposit by keying in an amount as negative however it totally throws off all of the expenses by lumping the deposit and expenses in one giant group and making it appear as if your daily expenses are all a positive amount. With all of the features that this application has it seems like making a simple deposit feature would be incredibly basic. Perhaps I would be better off just using online banking to track my expenses but there are definitely instances where I use cash or a credit card and I would prefer to lump that as one giant monthly budget which this app unfortunately makes it impossible to do. I seriously hope a deposit feature is made or I likely won't use the application again.

This is a very handy app. I use it for tracking all of my expences now. My income is fixed so I don't have to track that like so many others; however I would like to see as the primary category the total of all the categories that I've created. I set up my first category so that it does this once I created all the others and added them up, but that really should be done automatically to tell me totals for what I've budgeted and what I've spent.

I got this a week ago expecting it to help me track my outgoings and see where I was spanking my cash. I wasn't expecting it to change my spending habits! I don't overspend but i do have a habit of frittering my money away. However, knowing that I'm going to see my financial fails immortalised in black and white on a chart of somekind has really got me thinking before reaching for my wallet. All within a week! :-)
The app, itself, is well thought out and easy to use with neat features like icons, photographing receipts, and has useful filters when setting up and viewing reports. Top marks all round.

This App is by far the most usefull mobile tool I use to control my business. I personally would like to see two new features in the next incoming updates: Earnings (type) & a free iXpenselt server to wireless sync, view, add, edit or delete reports in your computer. I know I ask too much, but this is an ambition project by FYI Mobileware and I expect the best from them. I totally recommend this App.

I tried many finance apps, overall iXpenseIt is one of the best so far. It's packed with too many features to list them all yet it is fairly ease to use. My favor is the flexibility to customized it to fit my needs. Add/delete/edit categories and subcategories comes handy in organizing. I personally use negative number for all expenses and use positive number for all incomes and it worked out great! The new video tutorials on their website is a good place to start exploring all features since some are not very obvious. Date navigation for power users is in need of some improvements, I understand it is in the works. I will bump it to 5 stars when I see that.
