In a recognizable but not really similar way as using the actual PayPal site, this app displays quick links to the 'to', 'amount', and 'note' features. Buttons at bottom conform to the iPhone standards, and include the Send Money button, as well as a button for Balance, History, and Info. The Info tab has all the pertinent info, including a phone number and web link if you need help with something right away, etc..
Basically this is an excellent mobile version of the web site. I was at a lunch where one person was paying on a credit card, and a half dozen other people paid that person back instantly by transferring the money through PayPal on the Iphone. It worked wonderfully.

I finally used it. I am impressed.

I was a bit skeptical about this app when it first came out. I imagined a slow, clunky app that didn't work very well. However, I just used it to send money to a friend. The interface is simple, lacks any clutter that I expected, and was FAST. Some more functionality might be in order for the future, such as the ability to add/remove bank accounts and/or credit cards. But overall, I give this five stars for it's easy to use, simplistic and fast UI.

I was wary about trying this app when I read all the reviews saying that History didn't work any more, but I took a chance and downloaded it anyway, and everything works great. I have a PayPal account and a PayPal debit card, and as soon as I put in my username and password, there were all my past transactions, just like you'd expect. Piece of cake. Not sure what everyone's complaining about. Also works great for sending money, etc.

Surprisingly useful application for the iPhone platform. I usually don't bother going to PayPal's website just to check my balance, but this iPhone app makes it effortless to do so. (I guess I'm saying that I wish PayPal's website had just as clear an interface.) The Balance and History function provide essential information (all, sent, received payments). And the Send Money by Email function is very convenient, and something that PayPal should promote more.

Outstanding application. I can't stand it when people that barely know how to check their email try to use a multi media device. Anyone with a little common sense would know to hard reset their phone after installing this app. Hold down the sleep/wake button at the top right corner of the phone and hold down the home button NOT UNTIL IT SAYS SLIDE TO POWER OFF keep holding down the 2 buttons together until the phone shuts off and comes back on this app will work flawlessly.

Paypal, fast and secure

I can describe this app in one word, simple. It is easy and very secure to use. It does exactly what it is supposed to do with a nice clean interface that is easy to see and use. I have never come across any errors with this app at all. No network errors, no crashes. I would highly recommend this app to everyone. Don't let the negative reviews stop you from downloading it, it does everything without the extra bells and whistles!

I would like to add a switch in the iPhone and iPod touch Preferences that turns on some features for Business members like invoicing. An invoicing tool will be good for people like me who often have to invoice while I'm on the go. This application for some reason still crashes more often than any of the other applications on my device, so sometimes I just head over to mobileSafari and log on to Paypal directly.

Great Apps thanks , especially since it is free . There is only one little problem , I signed up to enable logging in with a pin number and that worked great for a week . Now all the time it tells me it is the wrong phone number please try later yet when I sign in using my email address and password it has no problem ? . All in all still a good app for checking account balance and whether a payment has been received or not .

It's awesome that there is a PayPal app, but instead of adding money-sliding animations, you guys should work on adding the ability to request money from contacts, checking pending bills or requests, sending reminders, transfering money to/from bank accounts, etc... There's so much to do but your only update in several months brings new sliding animations!? Also, the UI is getting better, but there's still potential for a lot of improvement.

I really wish people would read the info sections properly before posting a review on an app. This handy app does exactly what it claims to do. You can check your paypal balance and send money to people. It's useful if you are away from a computer and need to check if you have been paid by a buyer, or simply to send a friend some money on the go. Ok, it's not the complete paypal package for your iPhone, but it doesn't claim to be! Useful, just not essential

Had the 1.0 app until it vanished without explanation (PayPal even panicked users by claiming the app wasn't theirs and closed paypal accounts (Bad customer service paypal)). It turns out this has always been a genuine paypal app and although basic (no transaction details or payments pending which hopefully will be added in future updates) it does what it says. Easy quick and simple Recommended

If people would rate this for what it states it does instead of what they wish it did they would rate it as great. Maybe they should try reading the app befor they buy it or not buy it at all if it's not what they want anyway. All that being said I use it daily and love it

Love the app, now i can check my balance on the go! If your having problems with any app, it may be: Make sure your ipod/phone is updated with the current availiable firmware. (Check apple.com) If your ipod/phone is jailbroken, it may cause problems with apps. Always restart your system when downloading new apps, this allows any unneeded stored data to be removed. (A fresh clean start persay.)
