I am giving this 5 stars because it does a great job of figuring whole percentages. I know this is going to sound goofy but I wanted it to figure 11.1 percent and it rounds it down to 11 when I attempt it. My wife says I have OCD just because I try my best to get all numbers the same when possible. I love 2 get up at 4:44 for instance so I'd like to leave 11.1 percent but don't guess I will. Great app though for normal people.

Quick, easy, and to the point. The display is uncluttered which makes inputting and retrieving the output easy. I like the sliding adjustment and the rounding function. If the service is poor, I can just keep sliding the tip as far down as needed. It would make a fun game to play with the waitstaff. Estimate your bill and let them see their tip increase or decrease depending on their level of service.

Yes yes there are maybe dozens of tip calculators here on the apps store, but this one is the best I have found.
++ It has the Round up and Round Down buttons! (Thank you) Such a simple feature but is the only one here I have found with both round up and down.
+ I does not have the silly split function that I personally never use.
+ Simply and easy to use.
- It misses 5 stars only because it seems a bit slow to respond to input especially when first starting the program.
It is by far the best tip calculator here, and well worth the price.

This is definitely the best tip app out there, because it's free, it's simple and it's quick to use. However, it could be just a bit more featured, to make the tax part more clear. I wish the tax would be shown, and how it would be shown would depend on the "Exclude Tax" setting in the app settings, so that it's clear on the main screen of the app whether or not you're tipping on the tax total or if you're tipping on the sub-total before tax. And now this might get a bit confusing, but it's a seperate thing: there should also be a toggle, which would factor into how the tax mode works (no matter what tax setting you have), whether the bill amount that you enter includes the tax or not. This makes it a bit more complicated, but I'm sure you could do it nicely. There's more than enough room to format the screen to do this. And, a "split the bill" addition would also be great.

This is great since my math isn't. I haven't had a problem with it - works like a dream. I love the round up/round down feature too if you like to keep your amount even.

I assume they'll fix the issues (hopefully quickly), & it was a great app previously, so that's why the 5 stars. But I am experiencing the crashing problems - I can enter the amount, but if I press any button on the next screen (tip percent, round up/down), it crashes. But it's great when it's working! I have faith that the problems will be fixed.

Great app. Sitting in resturant downloaded app, figured tip before waitress got back. Didn't know how to figure tip because used to old phone that had a tip calculator on it. Sure like this one better than the old one!!!
