If you're trying to stick to a budget, it's a good idea to keep a record of everything you spend, but its hard work writing everything down in a notebook. The Moneybasics Spendometer is an application that makes day-to-day budgeting simple and practical. The Spendometer enables you to set yourself a budget, log your spending, and view your spending reports to see where, and how much, of your money has been spent so far in a given week or month, all whilst on the go. It also has a feature that helps you to keep track of your spending on a night out. Every time you buy something, simply enter it into the Spendometer on your phone, and it will keep a record for you. You can set your own spending limits, and choose how your spending will be reported - weekly or monthly. The Moneybasics Spendometer will provide you with the essential tool to ensure you stay on top of your finances.

Reviews:
Useful simplicity By: Not That Morris - 07-Jul-2009 Version: 1 I love how easy it is to enter expenditure, and really like the idea of a simple graphical display of how much I've spent and have left to spend. The allowed daily spend is a great idea, too. Only reason I haven't given this app five stars is that I think the visual design could be improved. A smaller spendometer dial, for example, so that the three lines of amount spent, amount to spend and daily spend allowance are all visible on screen without scrolling. I can think of plenty of other visual refinements/additions I'd like to see, but that might be overcomplicating the app, when one of its main attractions is its lack of unnecessary, distracting functionality.
Just what I was lookin for By: afromone3000 - 08-Sep-2009 Version: 1 Goin uni so needed a budget app. This is free and really does everything u need for that kind of purpose. Only 2 real faults (which have been pointed out already) are: Start the week on MONDAY! Not blimmin Saturday! What was the creator actually thinking???? And other prob is the spendometer dial. It bloody HUGE when it could be an 1/8th of the size, no joke and I would still be happy and all the important info could be seen in a glance without need to scroll. Please update asap!
Great By: Dicksplash - 18-Nov-2009 Version: 1 Easy, great
An easy-to-use app for tracking what I spend money on By: HuwJeffries - 22-Feb-2009 Version: 1 This is a nice utility to track what I spend my money on. The Going Out feature is useful when I'm out with friends and don't want to enter lots of small transactions in an evening. The "Spendometer" dial gives me an early warning if it looks like I'll go over my budget for this month.
Easy way to stay in control of your finance By: Will Quayle - 25-Feb-2009 Version: 1 I have found this application really useful to track what I am spending. Before using this I would just chuck away my receipts and would never really know how much I was spending. This has really helped me keep on top of my finances.
Excellent. By: Bhangraman - 28-Feb-2009 Version: 1 East to use and setup.
Superb By: Magicalmushroom - 29-Aug-2009 Version: 1 Very good, very simple, better than a certain little £3 app I payed for in the finance section, this is brilliant
Splendid By: Northernscum - 12-Sep-2009 Version: 1 It's simplicity is it's brilliance and it's free, what more could you want!!!
Simple By: Sabdog - 21-Oct-2009 Version: 1 At last!! What a great prdoct if you are looking for a simple way to keep track of expeses. Also great to add up what you are spending in the supermarket.
help care money By: sarah shawn - 08-Mar-2009 Version: 1 help me sometime, to care about what i spent, it remind me some !!
best expenses app! By: chi22 - 06-Apr-2009 Version: 1 tried every free expenses app and one that cost £2.99 (that lasted 3 minutes) and this is the best by a mile! 3 steps and thats it, and then a clearly shown diagram of how much you're spending! would have liked a better design so only 4 stars, the £2.99 app i bought was solely on the way it looked but it was useless!
Pretty good ltd categories By: Jammy-m - 27-Feb-2009 Version: 1 Good app but the categories are limited, you can't always remember the item u spent money on, that's why this app gets four stars. Your spend is categorised not individual.
Great but, Why Saturday? By: SebastianR - 28-Apr-2009 Version: 1 I find it useful and annoying at the same time, why does the week have to start on saturday? it makes no sense, weeks start normally either monday or sunday, in fact why is it so hard to make it a choice instead? I know it's free but still
Nice By: Shaxm - 28-Feb-2009 Version: 1 Very useful and easy to use
Really simple and effective By: kevinoflincoln - 13-May-2009 Version: 1 This app is great. So simple to use and perfect information back. It's not the prettiest app, but does that really matter. I have had a couple of issues with it not seperating payments over the weekend, but that doesn't matter that much over the course of the week.

A Must Have For All Students! By: tea_bag - 14-Sep-2009 Version: 1 First of all- it's free! But most importantly, the interface of the app is clean and simple. The spendometer gives a clear read out as to how much money you have left to spend. This app will ensure I still have enough money to get a round of drinks at the end of the week, without it burning a hole in my bank account.
It's good.....like Ronseal By: TCGranite - 30-Sep-2009 Version: 1 This is a simple, practical & does what it says on the tin. I like it ! The Saturday issue has been mentioned enough. A few tweaks for me.....I want more categories and the ability to undo more than the very last 'spend' as I keep making little errors with my budgets and overspending but can't reverse them when I realise....user error I know but.....
