Campaign: very good graphics, there is Some variety and the controls at first are difficult but you get use to it around the third level.Multiplayer: there are two game modes team death match and death matchThere is also only two maps which is a factory and a desert and only a couple of weapons but the it's really fun and enjoyable there is some lags, but its probably due to my connectionI have the iPhone 3GS and I have not expirenced any crashes yetAlso when you are choosing a multiplayer lobby make sure it's less that pl:4 other wise it will just give you a general error

It rocks, never mind the gyro or game center!!!

Nothing compared to the console game, but for fans like myself, all the more enjoyable for all it's charm. Controls are much better than many first person games for iPhone. Decreased sound quality but this isn't you turtle beach either, it's you iPhone. Worth all of the 99 cents it cost. Lots of fun. Plenty fast paced with good tutorials and the controls allow a skilled player to perform actions quickly and smoothly. Fantastic altogether.

It's a very fun game, with great graphics. But the controls are a bit sketchy to work with. It's very hard to fire and maneuver, and looking around is slow because you have to keep sliding in the direction that you want to look. Now, I and other people know that there are options to change the controls, but they aren't what some want. Add an option that just adds joysticks and to shoot you tap the look joystick or you can have a second control option where you have dual joysticks but to shoot you tap the empty space between the joysticks. Both of these options would be extremely helpful and appreciated if you added them. The tap the joystick to shoot would be better than the open space tap to shoot option. And a knife would be a nice selectable weapon too. So new joystick option, and add the knife to the weapons the player can carry, because we don't want to only be able to use it when the "bad guys" don't expect it or when we get to close to them. Yes the controls aren't the best but switch to controls type C. it's a little Kathy and glitchy but I have the 2nd gen so I know that will happen. For all you 3rd and 4th gen iPod people this is a great purchase. I got it for 99 cents in a sale, if the sale is on at the time you plan to buy it wether you have 2nd gen it's then grab it.3rd,4rd gen people this is a must have2nd gen people grab it on a saleWow this is great

This app is an excellent shooter to have on your iDevice. The price is right and the features are complete (campaign, 3G/wifi multiplayer, good graphics, well thought out controls). Any action gamer would find this an easy and fun addition to their library.Overall, it plays nicely. The controls are only slightly different than similar shooter apps, but I think the controls in this app make more sense - keep an open mind. Gameplay so far, for me, seems varied and fun and doesn't wallow in shallow over-the-top machismo that remains a hallmark of other war shooter apps. That tends to kill my interest in other games, but so far I'm still playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. :)Multiplayer is a bit overloaded at the moment making it tough to join a game, and your own latency is evident as stuttering in-game, but they're not big issues. Again, the bang for the buck is great at this price, and I'm sure an update might be in the works. If not, hey it was cheap and fun. :)

This game is wow! I know there are some NOVA and Archetype players out there like myself who look for more, THIS IS IT!! I was a devoted Combat Arms player as well and, as we all know, there is no app for CA on iPhone. This is the closest match to it and it is quite fun!Pros-Great use of Retina Display-Variety of Weapons-Great FPS MMO game-Campaign & Multiplayer- .99c !Cons- No Gyro- Need GameCenter- Crashes (rarely, but still)

This game has a ton of potential. The campaign is solid, with a good weapon variety, but mist weapons are lackluster. The shotguns have poor performance, and there is no incentive to vary from the four solid main guns other than for achievements. There is no gyro, but I prefer that. Grenades feel good, and the grenade launcher is satisfying too. The online is both where it shines and fails. Getting into a match is Hell. There is a 3-10 second delay as you navigate throughout the matches. Until in a match you can't see specifics, and there is no way to filter matches. You have to fond a match with less than 4 people (preferably 3) and try to join. I say try because when you try and click on a match it will select a random, and when you join half the time there will be an error. If you get in though all is great, though there are only two maps. It's a blast to knife other people or hose down a hallway with a light machine gun. It would be amazing though if the game automatically placed you in a match. I am only giving this game 4 stars because of the 99 cent price tag. If the price goes up and it remains laggy, I'll probably knock my rating down to a two out of five.

Updated review:After playing a few hours of the game, I can say I'm happy with the overall game. The only thing that gets me are unresponsive controls at times. Which gets you killed in the heat of virtual battle. Old reviewWow! Sooooo many games out right now it's great! I've only played a few minutes of this game. But so far I can tell that the sounds of each weapon are top notch, unlike modern combat by gameloft (which is a great game developer btw) there weapons sound hollow or echoy. Your voice actors sound much more professional than gamelofts as well so that's a huge plus. Graphics well I think gameloft gets this one, there graphics are top notch for the idevices but graphics dont make a game, gameplay makes the game. EAs graphics are ok, not the best, but better than some PSP games like the new ghost recon. Bring on medal of honor the modern combat one on this area. I'm sure your investors won't be disappointed.

BattleField: Bad Company 2 is one of the greatest games to get on any idevice. This game is full of action and comes the closest of any app to the shooting games played on game consoles. It also takes advantage of the idevice with pretty good graphics and an impressive controls system. The gameplay of BattleField: Bad Company 2 makes this game one of the fewer apps that makes the player feel pretty involved in the story taking place. And the Multiplayer mode is the icing on the cake for this app (though it needs a little work). The only thing that this game doesn't have that is a crucial aspect is music during gameplay. THAT is a must-fix (or maybe it's just my phone acting up). On the otherhand, this game is a must-buy for all people who want to have a good action-packed game on their idevice! Hurry before it's off sale!

The graphics could be better (even on the iPod 4/iPhone 4), but overall, the game seems pretty solid for EA's first fps for iOS. Reminds me of MoH for the PSP if anyone's tried that before. I'm still not totally comfortable playing a FPS on a touchscreen, but that's just me. For $0.99, I can't complain.*The game does tend to stutter on older devices at times. Also, there could be more control options; I found controlling the veichles very awkward.

This game is awesome. Battlefield on the iPod! I love this game. It does have issues but on my touch 3rd gen it's very minimal. Its very fun after learning the controls. I am happy this company did not try to charge 4 or 5 bucks for this as buggy as it is. $.99 is a perfect start for this game. Please remember rating something 1 star will not get us the updates we want. If u wait a little and they don't update it then give 1 star. I rate the game 5 stars for what it will be. For a big name developer to release this for .99 we are getting what we paid for. If they blow it off and dont update I'll leave another review but it definitely won't be as nice.

!WARNING!- this game requires skill! I've always liked fps games on the iPhone, but the controls are strange. There are no joy-sticks on the iPhone. If your buying this game because you think it will be a good game if you have never played fps games before your a fool. (fps= first person shooter)Now.. For the gamers out there who know how to respect a good game on any given platform.. You will love this. I love it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the online has never worked correctly, please fix this. Thanks, great buy for .99 it's a steal.

First, you guys need to add room filters for the game select. Second, make the game finder scrolling better, cuz it just lags and lags and lags and is fustrating trying to find yore friends game. Third, adding friends is useless, u need to make a function where u can invite frends or join a frends game. Fourth, make a 4- player multiplayer game to at least a 8 multiplayer game. Fifth, make the maps larger. Sixth, add more maps. Seventh, make a run function during gameplay, it always seemz like your walking all the time. Eighth, make an ingame chat function or at leest one before the game starts. Theres plenty more issues but theses are my most needed ones. This game has lots of potential. Graphics, campaign, and weapons are x-sellent. Hint: change sensitivity to 70% and control option to B. Please add these things in a future update. Trust me, this game will originate over multiplay, and will give 500 stars if all this is updated.. Thanks

I play bfbc2 on my ps3 regularly, in my opinion the best fps of 2010. That said, I downloaded this app right away, and played the campaign And thought it was good. I went online and notice it's often slow to find other players to match up with. Need updates a.s.a.p. Quick tip for those having a hard time with the control movement... Go to setting > controls > C ... This will place a virtual joystick on the screen and make it a lil bit more easier... Enjoy

Great game but the controls need a change. You should be able to look in different directions by swiping anywhere instead of only swiping the right side. This disables you from adjusting your aim when aiming and firing at the same time. Take a look at modern combat 2 controls, they're great! Get an update to adjust the controls and then this game will be ten stars. And maybe some extra campaign ad ons...

Okay guys stop ragging on it just because multiplayer needs major work. The single player campaign is great and fun! And it has achievements to work at to give you lots of things to do. The controls are difficult but you can be really good in multiplayer despite some lag if you practice and get used to the maps. They have an online leaderboard and multiplayer achievements so it does have some ranking in it. I enjoyed this game, it's great for a mobile fps! Thanks EA!

Ok this game would definitely be 5 stars if u fixed the lagging online. It is really annoying. Since that stupid lag is going on through the online gaming I rate the online 3/10. The story mode on the other hand is amazing! I was so impressed! The graphics are amazing, the controls are amazing and the storyline is amazing? Fix the online lags plz!! Other than that the game is awesome. Keep on making more fps shooters EA games!!!

Everyone knows Battlefield is the most advanced and strategic FPS series there is. They also have a history of not having everything 100% in the very beginning of a launch. This game has potential. All it needs is a few updates to cut down the lag and fix the "singleplayer not starting" bug. I feel that, given a little bit of time, this game will whip into shape and be worthy of the Battlefield franchise.
