Really good fun but I think there should be an option to keep the backlight on, eg If the iPhone auto-lock is set to one minute and the screen during gameplay isn't touched the backlight starts to fade and eventually locks the iPhone. I think there should also be controls for acceleration and brake, especially brake. Otherwise a great app.
Btw why does US Appstore have more apps than here in UK?? :-(

This is the best app I have bought and my version does not lag. ILook forward to more games with fun game play and grafics like this. And why does every game have to have to use the tilt control I have played games on a gail broken touch that had a set of controls u use. For faster games tilt is good but for slower game they should use a control pad and on screen buttons. it would be sweet if nintendo got in on some of these apps.

First app purchased by me, a new iPhone 3G user. Not as laggy as some report. It has its moments but its not severe to any extent. For an iPhone, it's extremely smooth. Gameplay is good. Number of levels is reasonable. My hope is that future updates will be free and will maybe include more levels? Difficulty is moderate. Enjoy the sensitivity adjustment control. For the price, worth it to me.

I don't know why I am surprised to find a great game from Vivendi. Unlike other games (i.e. Monkey Ball) the sensitivity of the accelerometre is adjustable and therefore the game is consistently challenging instead of maddening. The game has excellent graphics, response, activity, and difficulty levels and on the iPhone/iPod Touch is comparable to a PSP in performance. Nice beginning movie although technically it serves no purpose if you've played this game on other platforms. One of my all time favourite games now for iPhone kept me from losing my mind waiting in A/E the other day. Nice Work!! Apple, in the next version of iTunes can you please allow the Safari spell check to work or do you like seeing us suffer too much?

This game take's a bit of getting used to (the controls that is) but it's actually very addictive! It'll eat your battery but it's a fun challange to see how far you can go. I'm lovin it on my 16GB white iPhone :D :D There is an excellent tutorial at the begining of it & if you quit the app when you open it again it asks you if you want to resume... nice feature but it'd be nicer if you could save, not just resume.

Brilliant game, worth the price!!!!

This game is brilliant. The graphics and sound are great, no different to the Playstation version. I found it quite tricky to steer at first, but after playing it a few times I got the hang of it. I think it would be good if it had a two player mode where you could play against an opponent via Wi-Fi. I bought the game when it was full price (£5.99) and I thought it was worth that price, but now it’s reduced to £3.49, with no hesitation it’s defiantly worth that price. Get this game, it’s great.

I was really excited to download version 2.0 software for my iPod Touch - now I know why - this is truly amazing stuff - far better than I expected. Nintendo and Sony are absolutely crapping themselves as I write this. Not only do the Touch and iPhone feature Wii like motion control playability, but the prices for the games are so low and the graphics are first rate. Not only has the iPod Touch and iPhone made a mobile device that makes the internet a pleasure to use on a mobile device, Apple have now made gaming on a mobile platform something everyone will want to do too. Simply brilliant.

This game is well worth 3.49, unlike Cro Mag Rally you do not have to control your ability to move forward, which keeps it simple and fun
Nitro Kart has:
Story Mode
Cup Tournament
Unlockable Characters and a quick play option, if you just want a quick 3 min race. Also you can change sensitivity of the accelerometer, which is usefull if you are a noob. Speaking of noob stuff, the game also has a tutorial level which you have to complete before you can choose other game modes, which is good because when you first play this game you will be really rubbish :)

I have had this game since I first got my Ipod which must be a cupple months ago but only now it has crossed me that maybe I should tell people what the great game this is. This game is the TOP dog of all iPod apps . Do not listen to all these people saying such things like "I would not even get it if it's free" these people a clear fans of the SIM STAPLER. Well I have to give this game a five stars and I can't think of anything that could be done to make it any better

Great game, I was having trouble deciding whether or not to buy it, as my friend has it on his Iphone, and Doesn't really like it (He didnt know how to unlock the actual game, Time Trial & Story Etc.) But in the end I decided to buy it, best Game on my Ipod. Love it, I was just playing it for about half an hour, and It went really fast. Well Worth the money, great controls great graphics, great everything. 5 stars

(fr) je trouve que le jeu est bon mai toute les courses ont été copier de tag team racing et il n y a pas de online mode ,mais sa reste toujours le meilleur jeu de course pour moi. :((en)i think the game is very good but all the race are the same as in tag team racing but for an iPod game it s wonderful ,but it stil don't have online mode. :((fr) je n arrive pas a croire que acheter ce jeu a 6.99 quand maintenant il est a 2.99. OMD. (o mon dieu) xD(en) I can't believe I bought the game for 6.99 and mow it s 2.99 OMG

Hello I purchased a iPod touch recently and am using it to write this review. Crash bandi coot is a great game but some times it is just way to hard and what limits you is that you may only get 1 hour max because it consumes up your whole battery! Their are some levels that are 2 hard for mission 1, 2, or 3. Out if 8 they should start off easy not hard then work their way up as you get more familiar with the game. Over all it is a great game just can be a little bit hard and by the way steering at first was too hard and after about 10 minutes is now a dream you have to steer gentally don't turn the whole iPod/iPhone just gentally turnin it as you steer. Thanks!

this game is one for any racng game fan, any crash bandicoot fan and anyone who just likes a fairly none challenging but entertaining game.graphics are decent,obviously racing games on psp are going to be slightly better but when psp games are around £34.99 and this is £3.49 what can you expect, you can buy 10 games for price of one psp or ds game, cant expect them to be perfect but this is quite close

This is one of the first apps I bought on the AppStore. Even after I have rearranged my springboard, omitting many apps countless times, this app still has a place on my front page. This is because it is a quality game; built right from the start. It is no wonder that it is still in the top ten apps and it is totally worth every penny. The accelerometer is perfectly embedded into the functionality of the game and the sensitivity control over the tilt makes this game perfect for anyone.

Ah, read what the aku-aku thing tells you before the race. Yaya (the panda-like character in the race) must beat Oxide, otherwise you lose. This is a great game, although there could be more weapons and better graphics, as in Cro-Mag Rally, but this definitely is a better game experience than Cro-Mag and it's fun as it is a lot like Mario Kart.
8/10, the main thing that puts me off is the weapons seem to depend on your position in the race. So if you're second, 99% of the time you will only get the oil slick, the bubble or possible the TNT. Weapons like the rocket are pretty cool and hopefully the game will improve with updates. I've done all the missions and won all the cups but I'm still hooked and love this game!
