I have always enjoyed this app it is just plain ol fun. I played this game for about 3 hours on a road trip. Very cool grafics and consistant game play once you get the hang of it. Thanks so much for making this free. Awesome game and hope your making money on the ads this game is great. It would be cool if you made a carnival app using the same concept for like dart throw, the bottle game, ring toss etc.

This game is fun Ending on X01 is not completely straightforward but author made an effort to explain everything in the Help section, which contains the rules. After you actually read it, there's no more frustration. Animations are über cool. Perhaps there could be an option to tap and be available to throw next dart immediately without waiting for an animation to end. Also to speed up computer's moves. Obviously, author also made an effort to make you review the app and because app is very good for the price I do believe it deserves all 5 stars.

**Update**Thanks to the programers reading the reviews, you are able to change the shooting style to make it more difficult under the settings on the home screen. Five star game now! One problem remains. When playing double in double out (DD), the dartbot doesn't seem to understand you need a double for your score to start counting so it just shoots for triple twenties and gets no points. I'd like to see that fixed. Other than that, the game is very fun and worth the download!!

very nifty application, fun and with a lot of replayability. Love Cricket.
i like the original flick method MUCH better, while the aim and flick it is way to easy and doesn't reflect darts. Make sure to make the "original" as the default.
in both the only problem i have seen is the annoying finger-pointing-icon that comes up all the time when you try a 'slow' shot. it makes it almost impossible to shoot to the lower part of the board (e.g. double3).
i don't see the purpose of it at all, so i would eliminate it altogether, or -as a minimum- increase the 'spacing' between a low flick and a no flick.
other suggestions for updates:
-some sort of stat/best score option would be nice for an update.
-multiplayer option
-darts of bot of different color

That said, idarts is a better all around darts experience. That is why these immature juveniles choose to trash someone elses hard work by just randomly giving one star reviews. This game is more challenging than it's competitor. I think that a few minor graphic, sound and customization tweaks will make this as good, if not better. The addition of wifi multi-play as the developers state, may put it over the top.

I've been avoiding darts apps because it just didn't sound like it would 'work' as a video game. I'm glad I decided to give this one a try, I just finished playing 3 games in a row. The graphics are smooth and the dartboard is the classic style (official?) I've always used at friend's homes. I couldn't figure out the X01 game (even with the instructions) until I "threw" a winning shot by accident, lol.

My son and I have downloaded a lot of games, and this one has so far proven to be the most addictive.
* It has excellent graphics; it's enthralling to hold and manipulate.
* The AI has three difficulty levels, the highest of which is a serious challenge (kicks my you-know-what).
* There are two different ways to aim your dart, one requiring a little more skill to master than the other. It uses the touch interface in a unique way, combining swipe direction and speed to aim your throw. It is truly a skill-based game, as it takes practice to become accurate. I found it easy to become competent, but I see it will take a lot of playing before I master it -- the way a game should be, and much like playing real darts.
* With Multi-Player on the way and new game types coming, this tremendously addictive and fun game is the best value game we have purchased at the App Store.
* Plus, Brian Hammond, the developer, was very prompt and helpful when I emailed him. I appreciate that.

Both me and my kid like this one a lot. It has an adjustable AI (the iPhone playing against you) that can be really smart or, in beginner mode, not so smart, which can be a plus ;-) for me at least.
The graphics are stupendous! We decided to buy this one after seeing how garish and busy the other ones were. Well also the list of options on the other one made my head hurt! This one is just straight up, clean Darts, with just the right settings and beautiful moving 3D graphics. Great stuff!

Despite the other one star rating nonsense, this game truely deserves five. I loved playing it. As said before, the default throwing mode is pointless and lack most of the games fun. I do have some improvements that I think you should take into consideration. 1) Allow the options to be changed in-game 2) Make sure the opponent has different colored darts. 3) Allow throwing from any part of the screen. 4) More game variaties. 5) Local (one device / wifi) multiplayer. Overall the game is great and easily one of my favorites.

If you like playing darts, you will be crazy about this game. It does an amazing job of approximating the real gaming experience, with simple-to-learn play mechanics and believable AI opponents.
My only suggestion for improvement is to add a feature that keeps track of wins/losses and highest scores. Since this review is so effusive, I will conclude by saying that I have no affiliation with this game's developer.

Updated to 5 Stars. I shoulda read the rules!!! Hehe. It's all good. ---- (Original review) I believe there's a defect in the game. When playing X01, I get a BUST when I hit a 20 with my first dart and I have 20 points (I should win right there), and when I hit three 3s when I have 9 points (I should also win right there). The AI then turns around and wins by pretty much doing the same thing. I'll change my review after a fix or if I see a change. Otherwise nice game--especially for free.

This is definitely among my favorite iPhone games. Very fun to play on the "original flick" setting (the harder mode) once you figure out how to aim your flicks. A few suggestions for the developers... (1) have the game settings used on your last game (which game and which difficulty) be the default next time you open the program. (2) high scores list, both user-only and online? (3) multiplayer gameplay? Also, the "master" AI seems to ALWAYS hit triple 18, which irks me to no end. I don't mind it hitting triples (obviously it should be good, since it's the highest difficulty setting), but it hits triple 18 in cricket at a far higher percentage than it hits triples on any other number. Very annoying. Thanks for a great game and keep up the good work. I look forward to the updates!

I downloaded this while I've been off work ill and have been unable to stop playing it ever since. It's definitely the most addictive free game I've got!Gameplay is straightforward (though I'm not sure the Cricket option has the same rules as the British pub version), you can change a number of settings and the AI skill level. I thought it was too easy until I got rid of the aim aid. Now it's a real challenge hitting doubles and trebles, I actually punched the air when I won my first 501 game against the higher level AI! Fantastic game!

This free game is more fun than some others that I've actually paid for. I didn't like the mode where you use the target thing to aim; the original mode is much more challenging. It will be even more awesome once it supports multiplayer over wi-fi. My only suggestion to the developer would be to move the little "i" button that is located on the bottom center of the screen in X01. I hate having to maneuver around it (I normally flick straight down the center). Also, what's up with the little hand icon thing that occasionally floats to the top if the screen when I try to throw a dart?

Amazing App, Graphics are one of the best yet to come to the iPhone/iPOD touch and i have to say the interface control is just great. The only downside is the lack of multi-player *coming soon* ( i hear) and its FREE. But the developers say they are gonig to start charging. I would pay for this item but get it now while its still free. Superb Game.

I found this app to be very simple to use. It took me was then a minute to figure out how to throw properly. The controls are easy and fast. I liked the way the camera followed the dart as it hit the board. I would like to see multi-player as well as an on screen round count for cricket. Cool options would be dart designs and flight designs, but for a free app, this rocks as it stands. Good job!

With the iPhone in hand, darts have never been more entertaining. All aim and sensitivity in the power of your index finger. A small adjustment in "flick" length and speed affect the gameplay of the dart. Play a variety of types of games along with 3 different difficulties. Think that's good enough? The 3-D angles keep you in the action, appealing the eye. What is there to lose? Download for no fee and remove at anytime!

Probably the best use of gestures that I have seen in an iPhone game. Game gets easy quickly with the default throw mode. A quick switch in Settings and the game gets new life - and is interestingly challenging. All of the classic dart games are available. Know your rules before playing X01 with double in/out. One complaint: the AI doesn't seem to know the rules to X01. If you change settings to double-in then the AI is completely stymied.

Brilliant game, close as you could get to darts on a phone. As someone who knows darts more from the telly than the pub I'd like to see a 'best of' matches option taking turns to start. Also a clear showing of each 3 dart score after the throw. The icing on the cake would be a voice calling the score....'180!!!!!!'. Or 'you require 45' Then we'll be living the dream. Great Start WELL DONE, LUV IT. After seeing other reviews I am updating mine to let prospective purchasers know that this game is hard but beautifully crafted and consistent, it is challenging ( as is real darts) but all the more satisfying when the neccesary skill is aquired. I have tried quite a few game apps and this is by far the best. Buy it, stick with it, you'll be glad you did.
