It's frustrating at first but just find some fish that breed babieswirh a worth and reproduc those.. People that have a problem with this game havnt tried to understand of or even play it.. Go back monkey ball or some ish that didn't gave more than two rules.. Once you spend 20 minutes with the game it's a proper kinda pick up and play sim.. I play about 2 times a day.. Feed breed and sell then quite.. Beware though at 2 x speed your fish will doe and get I'll if you don't play much at all.

I liked the PC version a lot and sort of forgot about it until the app came out. I'm very glad it did! The game in itself is definitely unique compared to the other apps out there. There are only a few decent virtual pet games, but I hope to see more soon. Fish Tycoon is probably the only, if not one of the very few tycoon games turned into apps. I like the whole concept of Fish Tycoon. My only complaint is the small font, but I have 20/20 vision so for me it's OK. Definitely a must have app. It's free, you have nothing to lose.

This is a really great game, and it is always something great to do when i am bored or just want to occupy myself with. Since it is the lite version, I understand about why we cant have 20 fish per tank and 3 tanks, but at least make it 8 fish per tank so that if you have 4 fish, and you breed all of them, you can have 4 offsprings instead of just 3 randomly chosen out of the 4 potential ones. BTW: for everyone who keeps complaining about how there isnt enough starting money and its too hard to gain money, this is what you do: 1. DO NOT buy ornaments for the tank until you have a substantial amount of money. 2. KEEP the first magic fish that you find (the magic fish of fertility) in your tank so that you get an extra fish of each -- only do this when you get good selling fish 3. Breed your fish until you find one that is worth a good amount (like the Goldfin Golbulb - its worth about 35), and then mass breed it. This means is just breed as many of them as you can. Once the 2 original fish get sick or die, keep 2 of the type of fish that you are mass breeding and mate them together -- 2 fish of the same kind make the same offspring. Once you think you have a good amount of money or you no longer have anymore fish to mass bree (maybe they died or you by accident sold them), start over with finding fish that can be sold for even more and mass breed those. [ I have been using this trick since the beginning and I have almost 200,000 isola bucks. 4. BE CAREFUL what you spend your money on. Ornaments for exsmple are a waste of money in the beginning. So is researching food and advertising. Focus on getting the magic plants and researching advertising. Hint-- the more expensive eggs are just the product of mixing a few different cheaper fish. Dont waste your money on those right away until you have a lot of money because the rarer the fish or the more expensive the egg, the more researching and plants you need. ***EASIEST MONEY MAKING PLAN***: Mass breed

This app is sooo fun - I love games where you make something and then sell it. The instructions are very clear, and the stuff it didn't say it easy to understand after For anyone that isn't getting baby fish, it's because there can only be 7 fish in each tank. You have to either sell a few fish, or put some in the selling tank. If the babies die when they are only a few years old, it means they are fragile hybrids. If you don't want the babies to die, you need to get enough money and research environment. The only thing that would make this app better, is if it recorded all the different breeds and how to make them on one little poster where you could go and refer to it every once in a while.

This game is great! It's really fun and hard to stay away from. I really like how u can pause the game in the options menu unlike other tycoon games because I am not always on it. 5/5 great job!Tips for starting out:Breed only fish that look alike and don't lower or raise the prices that are already set until farther in the gameOnce you have enough money research environmnt and you can start breeding different fish that usually sell around $20 then research advertisement and you will be making money a lot faster Oh yeah and if u have a sick fish just throw it out and don't waste ur money on medicine

Lite vs. Full version

If I buy the full version will I get more than 2 tanks? Or will the tanks hold more than 7 fish? Why should I buy the full version? What's the difference/ advantage? If anyone know please let me know. Thanks. U can only hold 7 fish per tank so if u have 5 preg fish only 2 will have babies. That's why not all preg fish will have a baby. U have to keep selling fish to save enough room for the new babies. Hope that helps.

Extremely addictive. Find a good fish that sells for over $40 and mass breed it. Limit to a tank is seven so make sure you have room for babies otherwise you'll waste your time. Research research research! UPDATE - More hints!Only breed fish that look similar otherwise they die. Kit your tank out with temp gauge and oxygen and buy plants as soon as you can. Be patient, the more established you get the easier the game gets, money rolls in once you have found a good breed. Once you have enough money you can really start to play the game!Does anyone know what the sea horse does. Bought it but doesn't seem to do anything!

I'v had this game awhile but didnt play it. Then when i did. I  it! So i bought the full version. Then n less then three weeks i found all magic . Loads of money but now all i hav lefts tu du is breed more fish tu find all 400 species. I hope there will be an update soon tu be able tu purchase more things. N mayb a notebook n the app. N mor tu du in the store. This very adicting. If you want the tank full of fish without the Mess. Youll lov this app. This is my fav app im always checkin my fish. I have been addicted to this game since day one, it is now 2 months later and I have found all my magic fish and 217 species of fish My husband and I have really gotten in fish and bought 4 fresh water tanks. I'm the last month. It would be great to see you expand the game by being able to incorporate being able to grow different plants and coral too. We are just now buying fresh water plants for our real tanks. I didn't know that plants/coral were as interesting as the fish themselves. I'm still working on finding the $300  Anyway, I love this app! Thank you so much!

The game is awesome and there is one cool way to cheat if ur not patient. 1) Go get fish 2) Feed fish 3) Go to Settings app 4) Scroll down to General 5) Go to Date and Time 6) Go to Set Time Automatically. 7) Manually speed up ur time to any time u want 8) Once ur satisfied go back and set time automatically. This is the best way to cheat if ur not patient cause it saves a TON of time. Happy Bredding!!

Very worthwhile to download and to those that say that you have to check many times a day, well just do do what I do and click the stop time button then get back to it when u have time. Though starting off is a big of a trouble because fish keep dying so mayb stick with a good breed till u have enough to improve ur environment. I think it would be useful to click on the charts when selling fish to get tips:) it really helps (I used to sell fish b4 they got to 100yrs but the chart gave a tip that said that fish didn't die of old age which saved slot of trouble)Overall I think it's one of the best apps around!!!!! Get it , it's worth it!!! ;)))

I really like this game!!! My only complaints are: It's almost impossible to make any money and why is everything so dam expensive. You only alot 300.00 to start and half the supplies that you need exceed that!! making money should be easier!! and also my fish are pregnant but as soon as i turn off the game they're not!!! Why is that???? Please make earning money easier!!! I did sell one fish for 4.00! I was excited that I sold the dam thing but was pissed that it was only 4.00 !!! LOL LOl

Easy way to make quick money

To all you people complaining about money, here is a tip. Sell enough fish to buy another set of common eggs, put it in the other tank than your first magic fish, and it should give you another one. Start breeding just the magic fish, make money, get your research up, and start breeding all sorts of new fish. That's about the easiest way to start out. Might take you 2 sets of eggs. But it will give you another magic fish (greenfin spotanus). And I love this game!!!

This is a great game, I have more than $1000 and I have found about 50+ species. I also have two magic fish: a leafish and a spontanous. I sell about 21 leafish every 30 minutes and I take in a ton of money. Also, I have all the little decorations and magic plants and I have researched all the catagories fully. Great game! A suggestion

This game is very fun! There's a lot to it. My suggestions are that a meter shows how far along a pregnant fish is, a number somrwhere on the screen indicates how many fish are in each tank (so players don't have to count it every time),and that the developers include a key (perhaps in a help menu?) to explain what some of the things the customers are thinking. The icons are so small that I still can't figure out what some mean. Overall, a great game! It's really fun!

Get both the Lite and Full versions for double the fun!

I love Sim & Tycoon games. Fish Tycoon comes in 2 versions. One is Lite (FREE), the other is regular full version which allows you to have 3 fish tanks with 20 fish in each. Lite version only allows 2 tanks with a max of 7 fishies each. If you like the lite version, definitely get the full. I ended up keeping both installed so now while one set of fish in the Lite version are growing, I tend to the regular version's fish. This way I have more fun and less waiting around for fishies to grow.
This game is fun and it's something to do when you have a quick spare minute. Some people bring a newspaper to read while sitting in the bathroom but I bring my iPhone and feed my fishies heehee! Fish On! ;D -monnie101
