One extra star for the update! By: Purple Frogs - Apr 16, 2009 Version: 1.1 Many of my negs below have been improved in this version. I still think there are places it could be improved, but it is now one of the finest free apps. I would think the final version will be worth a purchase. The swipe interface could be improved as I think it could end up being the best way to play.
This game is a lot of fun, BUT....you spend most of your time dodging the enemy and their bullets and less time trying to kill them. The weapons upgrades are few and don't get cool enough IMO. I have yet to get power ups that give you more lifeforce so you get hit by 4-5 bullets and it's game over. All the while it takes you 10 shots to kill a parked motorcycle for goodness sakes. Controls are pretty good if you up the sensitivity. Graphics are awesome and I wouldn't recommend any graphical improvements really. I would work more on the balance of weapons upgrades, free men, free bomb strikes, and enemy waves to make it more fun and less tedious. I don't mind it being hard if it is rewarding, but I think this is just a game that ends up making me frustrated.
Been waiting for this! By: Mothello - Apr 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 I've been hoping someone would make a 1943-style game for the iPhone. To some the arcade game was known as the Battle of Midway. Fantastic work here with the accelerometer (the best way to play)! The auto-fire is sweet (and necessary for this platform/device) - a well-thoughtout feature. This game is tough but I appreciate the challenge. It should keep me just busy enough till the full version comes out! Well done indeed!
Brilliant and difficult By: Schechner - Aug 24, 2009 Version: 1.4 What a great game. The best iPhone game I've played to date. Yes, it's hard, but who wants to play a game that can be easily beaten on the first or second try? When it's this hard, even though I've beaten the first level a few times, I still want to play more.
The controls are smooth, graphics are smooth, gameplay is smooth...what more can you ask for? Especially at this price! I'll be buying the full version for sure.
The Demo is getting pretty good. By: Super_Howard - Aug 3, 2009 Version: 1.4 This is a revision to my original review. Thanks a lot for this update. The difficulty levels was a huge plus in this update. Easy mode is just perfect. I had a blast going through it. The joystick controls are a little tight and the bomb button lacks sensativity, because everytime I try to bomb, I have to endlessly tap it until it finally responds. The lag that was in the swipe control has been diminished drastically and now it is fun to use. I'm giving you guys another star on top of my original review due to this awesome update. Keep at it guys. This might be a first day buy for me now.
What improvement in one update! By: Matt TL - Apr 16, 2009 Version: 1.1 Old review is below. New review: now five stars, up from four! Improved accelerometer response dramatically. The swipe control is much better, and the new joystick control is a nice new addition. The difficulty adjustment lets you get through the demo level even if you're a klutz (like me). I will definitely throw down 2-3$ for the full version of this game when it come out.
Game has potential, would probably pay a couple bucks for full version IF they fix tilt control. Currently it seems you have to angle the phone for at least a half second to make the plane actually move. Try SentryAlpha, there's a vertical scroll shooter with excellently responsive tilt control. Unless they fix that aspect in this game, I won't download. Too frustrating!
Outstanding Job..! By: Jwarfo - Apr 30, 2009 Version: 1.0 As far as free games or applications go, ifighter is simply awesome. I greatly anticipate- whereby individually checking everyday, for the new version. It is a sweet and fun application overall- as an example, just perfect for getting lost in and away from the plaguing economic turmoil we face as a country- but not to forget to mention and address, while evading the reality and the world outside for a while, to jump into the cockpit of a fighter plane. So, in my humble opinion, well done epicforce! A nice and enjoying game to keep your mind occupied from the daily ritualistic melodrama. Looking forward to more game levels. Thank you..!
Bar none By: formula53 - 24-May-2009 Version: 1.2 The best lite version of a new game coming into the store I have ever downloaded bar none.
This lite version has class written all over it and is sure to be winner when the full game is released
The control of the plane is fantastic and the bomb support is a joy to watch
Just to add to the feel how about a bit of cloud drifting across the screen but not so that it obsuces the battle! Well done makers your onto a winner
I trust all those beta testing this lite version WONT be charged for the finished version.... that would be a little underhanded were sticking to it through this VERY LONG WAIT
Update:
Amazing just found out the full version is out! Silly me thinking that the dev team would inform though their lite version by way of a small easy update like many others do!!!
Deleted.... Not paying for bad feeback
Moving on....
Programmer By: Jerryredhill - Jun 24, 2009 Version: 1.2 An awesome game! I like it very much. When will the full version come out? Just cannot wait to play it.
One suggestion is to make the joystick bigger for better control. Another one is to make the final stage a litter harder for challenge. Final one is when user push the home button of iPhone the ifighter quits, but when the user wants to play again, it should just resume to what the user just left instead of starting a new game.
Great game, will buy full version By: asiandude195 - Apr 15, 2009 Version: 1.1 This is a great game, challenging yes, but better then buying something only to use it for five minutes! Controls are great, however there are a few things I think should be added:
-Lives, or at least some spot or checkpoint to regain health.
-More frequent power ups, because by the time really good ones show up your health has deteriorated to about 1/4.
That's pretty much it. I don't know why people are writing bad reviews, this game is great.
EDIT: Well well well! Impressive! The update was great, executed well. Definitely can't wait for the full version!!!!
Great By: Boozik - Apr 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 This game is great! It's not like one of those super easy demo games that takes 3 minuets to beat. This game actually took me a couple of day to complete. Can't wait for full version!... To get more upgrade you just have to kill all the brown planes that come at you in a row, once u kill the last one you should get a power up. I get at least 6 til I get to the boss. You also get more health halfway into the level if u kill the brown planes

Great game! Just clocked it! By: Full Metal Skivy - 12-Apr-2009 Version: 1.0 And so this free level is set realy hard but... Imagine once final is released there should be difficulty levels able to be set, I hope. I loved 1942, and this pretty much has all the fundamentals of that game. One of my favorite games and will be buying once released. Wish list for coming game would be; choose axis or allies, and have choice of several planes with differnt attributes and strengths; speed, firepower, extra bomb load, escape move, less damage/strong armour. Oh and difficulty level settings. Well done so far!
good and bad By: whhooo wee - Apr 8, 2009 Version: 1.0 wow this game is amazing! it is very addicting. i love it because it gets you excited when you dodge a bullet and things like that. it is bad because the health is way too little. i love the tilt controls because that is what makes it feel like youre flying the plane and dodging other planes and cannons from killing you. it is a really great app. i wish in the full version there will be more health. and many levels. i cant get past the first level b/c there is too little health.
Addicting Game!!! By: zpidermonkey - Apr 7, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is my new favorite. Will definitely buy the full version when it comes out. Don't change the difficulty -- that's what makes me keep playing. Two suggestions for the full app: 1) make health power-ups available earlier in the stage. 2) offer 3 planes and start at a "checkpoint" after you die rather than having to start again at the beginning.
Again, awesome game - it works beautifully and looks and sounds great!
Perfect By: Crimson Tear - May 8, 2009 Version: 1.2 I thought this game was incredible just the way it Is, I downloaded it ore-update a week or two ago, so before the control pad and difficulties were added. I thought the difficulty was perfect, I'm tired of playing these games that make you feel invincible, I like a good challenge and it made it much more rewarding when I blew that train/tank to bits. Bravo, the things I would like to see in the full game would be maybe a choice of plane and colors, of a pilot creation would be neat a few more sound effects or music would be nice but it would be easy to make it too noisy, so be careful. Please don't ruin the accelerometer controls those are perfect. Maybe an easier way to shoot faster while doing this as it tends to shake the plane a little while poking it vigorously to cause more damage... Amazing, I just updated and I have to say I only played it on hard as I feel every game should be and I beat it even easier then I did before the update which is disappointing cause now I can only imagine how easy easy must be. Oh well I just ask that you make hard just a little harder or have an ACE mode and rename the difficulties such as Cadet for easy etc it would have a nicer feel to it

How can the Full Version be Better?!?!? By: Jamoke - Apr 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 This game is fun and extremely entertaining. The graphics are well done, and the game play is progressive (ESPECIALLY for a LITE version). I honestly don't know how they will make this better for the Full version. They've got my money once it comes out though, as long as it's as good as the LITE. Lots of more levels would be fun, but even the 1st level is extensive enough to be played several ways, and provide entertainment each time. My kids even enjoy playing it, and keeps my son entertained for hours. Easy enough for him, extensive enough to keep me entertained, It's a keeper. Keep it up EpicForce!
Addictive app! By: Productive - Apr 14, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have to thank one of the kids in the youth group for telling me about "lite" games. Because of him I found this game. I have been totaly addicted to this game and am loving the fact that I finally beat that tank at the end. Great job in designing this app. The acceleromater controls are great. The only thing I will suggest is that you not complete the full version, for when you do I may never be productive again.
Great App By: LV Ishmael - May 6, 2009 Version: 1.2 I am anxiously awaiting the full version. I thought you should know though that the top score are not working quite right. If you beat the level the new high score does not go through. If you fail it does. I like the new revisions to the game. Please release full version soon. One level while fun is getting old. Is there going to be a way to save progress or select a level when unlocked? Well keep it up. Thanks
WOW!!! By: Tay club - Apr 20, 2009 Version: 1.1 This game is so awesome it takes up a lot of time and also that it's pretty easy for all ages. I can NOT wait untill the full version comes out. The music is pretty cool because it has that fighter war theme song. This game is so amazing and it gets you pumped up and I can't wait for the full version because then hopfully you can get different planes with lots if different feature and lots of different and more challenging levels!!!
