In this brick breaker game your goal is to destroy moving blocks and static destructible bricks. Hostile robots will fight against you. Enemy ships and non-destructible blocks will prevent you from breaking bricks.
Many power-ups will help you to cope with the task.
Some blocks contain useful bonuses - rocket enhancer, 7-ball-split, plasma ball, fire ball and various types of weapons and defence. Other blocks contain not so useful power-downs - for example, a rocket decrease or a slow speed.
Tap anywhere higher than the rocket paddle to launch a ball or to shoot. Touch the rocket contour and move it left or right to control the ball.

Great game.. lots of variety

This is a great game with a few improvements i would do, but a 5 star game
*18 lives is awesome... but can you make the end be "0 lives left" as opposed to during "1 life left" dying=end of game? Some games at at 1, some at 0, but at 0 it is more obvious...
*Can you make the ship itself draggable? Normally controlling it below the line is just fine, but there are those frustrating time when i accidently grab the ship and it doesn't respond.
*In the Records can you allow user to enter Name (just once, a default name, but changeable after end of game).. and also add date/time? That would make it even better!! The font can be smaller on the record page, but when a score makes it into the top 10, show the records and highlight :-)
*It appears there is 120 levels, which is a lot, but looks like i was able to start at Level 110 during my 3rd game, which makes it not feel like 120levels... can you make them sequential? And allow access to any level like now but only after i have been through them, until then keep it sequential? Also it would be nice to see some kind of acknowledgement of end of game, as is nothing happened, i was just thrown into main menu... hmmm.
*Sound levels - music is great, sound effects are not high enough by default because it's at 50%, but can you have additionally Voice Level in sounds? Effects should be at 50% but Voice and Music both at 100%.
Can you make more great games like this? The great feature is focus on details and long-lasting-game... variety is great.
Breakout that breaks the mold

Meteor is a breakout game that really has some nice features. The powerups really make the game ALOT more enjoyable, from lasers to larger bounce surfaces, balls that have a zig zag path, to multiple balls it really makes the game more interesting. Also there are a significant amount of different brick types that require different actions to break them, some need more than one hit, some can only be broken from the top and some need the special powerups to break them.
Overall i think this is a very solid game if you like the breakout genre and it has alot of levels to go through to keep you playing. Its a nice strong entry into the category.

This is a very polished and refined brick breaker game, seriously. I used to be addicted to a game like this on my pc, and now I can take that game with me on the go. Good graphics with no slowdowns in the fluid ball physics are the real standout here. I could give this a long elaborate review, but to sum this up I'd suggest it to anyone for a solid pick-up and play game, and it's a "must-have" for your phone.

I owe it to this game to write a review......a good one. Had this game since late Nov08 and have played it continuously. It is one of my favorites. It is a little different than the usualy brick breaker games and alot of levels and different game patterns which means alot of game replay value. You won't get bored playing this game. It is well balanced and lots of powerups. It gets hard too. I highly recommed this one, you won't regret it, especially from a price drop to 99 cents......now's the time to get it!
Not Your Typical Block Breaker

I love this game. It takes the simple concept of block breaking in another dimension by adding a rocket bomber that throws well rockets at your ship.
I like the theme of this game and the sound as well. Really well executed game and needs more attention than what the appstore is giving it.
A little improvement can be made by removing the control bar at the bottom of the screen to move the ship. Maybe make us control the ship directly instead of an offset control bar at the bottom.
It also looks nice to see the block explode in a neon fireworks fashion. REALLY WELL DONE.
I appreciate this game a lot and hope there is MORE to come from you guyS!

This brick-breaker game is certainly better than most of the others out there. It doesn't bring anything new to the table and does seem somewhat repetitive though. It wouldn't hurt to change the background every few levels or so. Overall, this is a fun game and it doesn't have those annoying sound effects all the other brick-breaker games have. At $3, it is a bit expensive, if it were a dollar cheaper i.e. $2, then it would be a bargain.

I'm glad I decided to give this a try. It reminds me a little of pinball the way you need to keep the ball in the air. It is a challenge to do so when the rockets are shooting back at you at the same time. The controls are okay. Took me a bit to get my fingers in order- one to slide and another to fire. I like the levels best that are more open without the grey blockers to try to get around. All in all this is a game that I am glad I have and will enjoy playing again and again.

I am so glad for free lite versions. I read a review in here saying to save your money and get superball. So I downloaded the lite version of superball then played it. Well I deleted that crap and came back to download this one. Thank goodness I did. This game rules and it much better than superball.
