My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves this game! It's easy for her play by herself and has enough activities to keep her entertained for long periods of time. I do wish it had different skill levels but for 99 cents, it's well worth it. The only drawback is that she loves the little motion that the monkey does when you make a mistake so she will make a mistake on purpose just to see that motion :)

Had to buy the full version after 20 mins as was so popular with my (just) 3 yo. It's the first interactive game he can actually use, and it's great for fine motor skills development too. he was so exctited that he could finally with ease play an electronic game like his 8yo brother. Good variation of mini games. Bonus of Collecting stickers after completing a few screens keeps him happy too. For only $1.20 I wouldn't go past it.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and absolutely LOVES this game. She calls it her "ha ha" game (monkey sounds I assume). I love seeing the progress she has made and the look she gets when she sucessfully completes the puzzle and matching game all by herself. She is soooo proud! Just 2 days ago she would bring it to me to "help her" get past these 2 screens but last night I noticed she was doing it all by herself with a very big smile! I love that you can give a 2 year old this kind of confidence to show them "they can do it" if they just keep trying! GREAT JOB on this app! The little monkey is ADORABLE!

My two boys (3 and 6) love Monkey Preschool Lunchbox. The pacing is perfect for the age range--no long waits and a great mix of games that each kid plays on his own level. I've tried lots of other preschool games and they're hit or miss. Too many games for preschoolers have "Play Again" buttons that the kids can't find or "Info" buttons that draw their finger and then trap them in a screen they can't understand. Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is super-simple to use and keeps them coming back for more.

If you don't have a kid, you might wonder who all these kids with iPhones are. No, kids don't have iPhones. Parents with iPhones hand their phone to the kid while driving and at restaurants. So hence, kids games.
Pro:
1. Nothing to confuse the kid; can keep playing without parent needing to get out of some menu while doing 70 on the interstate
2. Simple and appropriate
Con:
1. Graphics are OK. They could be a lot better.
2. More creatures and tasks? I expect a lot for my 99 cents!

App is great because it's varied enough in games/tasks to keep my boys (4yo, 2yo, & 2mo) entertained and learning. The 2yo is really loving it because he can't accidently push any settings button, or ad banners. He just plugs away at all the different functions. And if I hang with him while he's playing... it's really easy to reinforce learning (colors, abc's, counting, etc...) Plus monkeys are a favorite when you have little monkeys of your own :)

I downloaded this app on my iPhone, my 3yr old wouldn't give me my phone back, so put it on his 9yr old sisters iTouch, she said awe this is too EZ, but she held on to it, playing..with him so upset, I had to go out and buy another iTouch for him. He was trying to play it before the download was complete, he was so happy. The game was a lil EZ for him, but he felt great because, finally, and app just for him and he didn't have to ask for help. I look forward to more levels.

Please make more games like this...love it!

My three year old loves this game so much that we are fighting over the iPod :). This is great in that it toggles from colors, language,memory, counting, and puzzles. It is a great starting program to introduce ur kids to the iPod. I do have to agree with the other reviewers that the child gets bored quickly. In the next version can u please add simple maths, and more of everything.... I love how happy this game makes him!!!!!!

Great animation and such a nice learning game but missing two huge items ... NAVIGATION AND ENDGAME REWARD .. My tot has dozens of learning games and she is quite adept with the iPhone ... The one thing she likes is having a choice and winning...This game 'locks' you into playing with no way to return to a main menu ... Make some categories like counting, matching, puzzles, random, etc and a way to return to a main menu.. Also there is no 'end'...the sticker rewards need to exhaust where the kid eventually wins maybe with the monkey dancing at the board when you get all the stickers and a way to start over or go to main menu..UPDATE .. I let my toddler play it and she is laughing her butt off ... I changed my ranking!!!

My son flies through this and can go forever....when my phone rings he cries because he doesn't want to stop playing. While I can state that I wish it had more variety with regards to puzzles and such, it is a great program at a great price. Brilliant!
