Like the game I'll keep this short. Monster Dash is a Canabalt style run-and-jump-to-see-how-far-you-get game . Only this game adds cute monsters and a small variety of guns to shoot them with. It's fun and easy to play. The game can be expanded a lot however. New themes, weapons, and even making us play vertically while our character runs up a wall are all possible. Heck they could make bosses too!

Ignore all those who venture forth with such ignorant views as "it should be free". I guess these people haven't quite grasped how life works outside of living with Mummy and Daddy. They fail to understand that people need to be paid for work they put in and that app development is no different.I for one would like to say I am left with no regret having paid 59p for your game. When purchasing games I apply a system where every £1 I spend, I expect an hour of gameplay. This equates well and is far cheaper than a cinema ticket (£8 for 2h). Thus I would expect in the region of 30-40m of gameplay having paid 59p. Monster Dash, and Fruit Ninja, have both provided far more entertainment than that. The gameplay is fun, the visuals lovely and the pacing well done.You just blew Canabalt out of the water. You deserve your place in the store and these five stars. Well done.

I've never was a fan of 'man runs to the right' nor 'plane flights to the right' games. And i've never seriously thought about games with 2 buttons - actually monster dash doesn't invent anything, there's a plenty of java games done the same way. But! This thing has just about everything done RIGHT. I've tried several 'endless run' games after that - none is as good as this. Probably the most important thing is the one you don't see - game design. Little things on randomness in levels and stuff like that works just great. You never feel like you had no chance and the game cheated. if you fail you really see you've done a bad job. Every time you hang on a hook that next attempt will be better. But beware - this stuff is very addictive!

I really love this new Halfbrick game. Very addictive game play, awesome little graphics, awesome mechanics. One day I'd love to see more levels, but structured levels in the sense that you work your way up. Though it's mot supposed to be a platformer in that sense, it's an iPhone game that's for quick and fun play. Perhaps two modes? One the way it is now, and another levels that work Mr Steakfries up to some sort of goal, with new levels, and perhaps checkpoints? I love the gun and bullet, I think the range and how it works is fantastic, and the other weapons are very cool. I love how you can build up extra lives than the 3, so many games just have 3 lives and you're out; in this, if you are going well, you can get numerous amounts of lives I've only gotten to 5 but hey that made the gameplay last longer. Weapons are great, and a friend really enjoys the randomness of the levels that are generated when you start, changes it up, but I would love to see a second mode with a more structured leveling system. LOVE IT. It's so cheap, and FANTASTIC! SUPPORT AUSSIE GAMES INDUSTRY. Some of the coolest guys around with fantastic ideas. Super cool. Everyone else stop being so judgemental you got NO idea how much WORK goes into these games.

Canabalt with a twist

Simply put, if you're a fan of Canabalt, picking up Monster Dash is a no-brainer. The high-speed platforming and shooting definitely make for a great pick up and play title. Can't wait to see more level themes!My only gripe is the pause button. The area to activate the pause seems a little too hard to hit, I've had several games end prematurely with an attempted pause leading to a fatal jump instead.

Ah monster dash, a fresh idea to the platforming world of gaming. Monster dash has you play as ''barry steakfries'' shooting zombies whilst running at 88mph and teleporting to different dimensions, he's pretty badass. The goal of the game is to run as fast and far as you can before you die. If you fall down a pit, instant game over. If you get hit by a zombie you lose a life. It's pretty good however it can get repetitive. But if you like platforms, this game is a bargain. And at only 59p it wouldn't hurt just to try.

This game is a lot of fun.Think Canabalt with Metal Slug graphics meets Halloween Harry.On the surface it seems just another Canabalt clone, with guns.It's got fast pace action that will keep you coming back for "just one more" for hours.Beautifully animated sprites and backgrounds.A pumping sound track and great weapon sounds.Every shot you fire feels powerful, wether it's the starting shotgun or "Mr. Zappy" the lightning gun every shot is satisfying.Developer Halfbrick have out done them selves, can't wait to see the post launch support.Now back to the game...

I have never liked these canabalt games but took a leap on this one cause of touch arcades great review. I am truly happy with my purchase. The difficulty of deciding between Jumping over guys to save ammo and killing them because you risk jumping into a chasm just off the edge of the screen adds just enough dimension. It's actually very fun. The weapons, all of them are great.This a great game already, it really is. If you guys have updates coming I am truly excited. Please do. Take a look at angry birds and doodle jump. Two games that constantly update new content and are constantly talked about and in the top apps list. I'm glad I took the plunge with this one. This is a fantastic beginning. Make different modes with more depth and customization. Try pulling back the screen to give a wider view and make the jumps a lot bigger so we really have to plan ahead for jumps. Include items hovering around like the hearts that would change jump height, give you ammo, shrink you, enlarge you, new weapons, slow you, speed you(if you dare), make the terrain roll like hills just to screw with us, add civilians that you pick up along the way that will follow on your heels as you run and jump who add bonuses to you as long as you keep them alive.

It's a really good game recommending to all my friends (were all fruit ninja addicts :P) just one question though could u make an infinite run of only one level? Instead of it being randomly selected for you then change after 1km you can choose which one you want then see how long you can survive??? I just think it would be a cool idea and thank you Halfbrick for another fun but challenging game and a promising success!! XD

It's like a cross between Canabalt and Metal Slug, love it  Absolutely worth a dollar, can't wait for any potential updates UPDATE: The new motorcycle is so sick!! The hearts are way better too, keep up the amazing work!Couple suggestions still, monster spawning could use a little tweaking. Sometimes they spawn inside weapon boxes and, it seems, sometimes inside YOU. Also, every so often the jump button fails to register. It happens to me frequently enough for it to be a major issue.EDIT: Still waiting on a fix for the jump button glitch. Just now it failed on me for the umteenth time. I know I'm not the only one with this issue.

Great platformer/run and gun great I love the machine gun jetpack tottaly awsome would tottaly be the best game ever if you guys had like a new gun like every month or week but overall good job clickgamer.com great game well worth 99 cents and this isn't one of those apps where you would just keep it in your iPod and not play it because u got bored of it it is a great app that u will never get bored of this is now one of my favorite apps and so is angry birds oh and upgrades would be nice too like if you could upgrade your guy for more damage or to go slower or to bravo to get money everytime you kill a monster etc great app and make sure you put my thoughts into consideration

I really want a option to customize your character and every time you die there should be a shop to buy and upgrade your weapons and there should be power ups like slow down the speed or invincible for 20 seconds and maybe more monster and more different maps with different traps to slow you down and make you lose health. I'm addicted to this and I recommend this game to everybody and people should get doodle god too

Love it!!!!B) Got few epic suggestions to make this numba 1 again...Themes: -"haunted house" with ghost enemies and spooky version of the music -"boneyard" with skeleton enemies and xylophone version of song to match the skeletons-"Gates of hell" with grim weeper and music to match it-where town" with wherewolves as enemies and music to matchWeapons:-nuke (1 bullet) obliterates all enemies on screen-rocket launcher (5 or 10 bullets) when it hits an enemy it blows up killing enemies close to the enemy it hit.-freaze Ray freazes enemies and you can run right through them and smash them.-shield protects you once from fall (this can be pretty rare)New game modes:-stamena-see how long you can go without weapons-deathmatch-there are many enemies and a time limit to kill as many as possible-jump mode-no enemies no weapons or theme change just one straight game of jumping over many holes and trying to get as far as possible without fallingI know this is a lot to ask but if you consider a few of these I would appreciate it :)

i bought this app today and totally worth 99 cents! really addictive! the only thing they could do to make it better would be to add money and buy weapons and have a level page to chose the level u want to play instead of randomly selecting a level. then it would be awesome! and it wud be cool if they added a blue tooth thing where u can battle enimies with a friend! it would be the best game in the app store otherwise!

I absolutely love it, great for killing time, simple and easy to use. Its definatly worth a couple of bucks!!!If you like mario you will like this game. There is a guy who runs and jumps from platform to platform and shoots different monsters on the way while avoiding spikes. There are also different power ups like guns, motorbikes, jetpacks and zappers. There are fun stats and it keeps you wanting to beat your high score. There are also different themes like vampires, zombies, mummies etc. This app is currently one of my favourite apps and I could recommend it to anyone and everyone! :)

Back again with a few more of my ideas for zombie dash ( I'm leaving all my 7 previous ideas )1) A weapon store where you can buy ammo for your weapons and you buy ammo with how many zombies you killed.2) A weapon upgrade to make weapons have more ammo and faster fire rate.3) When you die your character can make a noise like a scream or something then blood could dribble down the screen.4) Character custermization for example if you complete a challenge you can get new clothing and hats.5) Bigger zombies and new ones! You could make bigger zombies and new ones for when you get past a certain distance.6) New weapons like a nuke where all the zombies get killed and grenades would be good.7) Power-ups for example a jetpack that takes you 150M or a helicopter that takes you 250M or something.--------------------------------------------------These are my new ideas.8) falling platforms with falling platforms you will have a certain amount of time to jump to the next platform before you fall to your death!9) maybe the character should be able to speak so when he kills a zombie he can shout " die you ugly maggot " or something.10) Maybe there could be a night and day effect and at night the zombies have red glowing eyes.11) Green and red blood! A blood effect would be really cool and with choosable coulors and if you don't like blood effect you can turn it off and on.Thanks for Reading my 4 new ideas and old 7 ideas bye!

I have been playing this game every day since I bought it, which was almost a month ago. The replay value has been great because my friend and I have been constantly trying to beat each other's high scores. The badass hog is awesome. Definitely worth a dollar. I also have fruit ninja, great game too.Now, having played the bejeezus out of this game, I only have 4 achievements left. This is where I mention my recommendations/ hopes for new content in future updates. Definitely needs more levels. A werewolf level that would look like the Gilneas area in WoW (gothic-y looking buildings, but it would have you running in an alley or in the streets), a Frankenstein level perhaps in a castle, or outside the burning windmill with the mob that wants to kill them ( I dunno), maybe even an aquatic sorta level with the creature from the black lagoon.And yes, more weapons and finally perhaps a new mode to play in, or instead different character skins.Regardless, this game is great. One of my favorites after so long, and I'm still playing it daily. There is just something so satisfying when you pull off that perfect shotgun blast and then jump at the last second. You have to play it to realize. Great job Halfbrick!

I'm a huge Fruit Ninja fan and was somewhat skeptical of this game going in because I wasn't sure if Halfbrick could produce the same fun, engaging, bursts of play that keep you coming back for more. Sure enough, they did. This game has a lot of replay value and is just as fun as fruit ninja at it's best moments. If it gets half as much support with updates as Fruit Ninja has, it'll become one of the greats. 

It doesn't get much better than this: Halfbrick has delivered to the iDevice Community a game wherein the player runs, jumps, and blows away monsters of various persuasions. This game takes every run 'n' jump title out there and grinds it into the freakin' DIRT -- for $0.99, you CAN'T GO WRONG! This game would be a steal at ten times the price, but you don't hafta shell out like that, 'cause that ain't how Halfbrick rolls. Do yourself the favor you know you should and PULL THE TRIGGER on this baby already -- you will not regret it.

The game is a must. I totally recommend it to everyone. I just wish all the game developers had a look here and try to emulate this fine example.@Developers: You did a great job, but we need some more weapons and monsters/levels. The motorbike was a great idea, please, throw in some more similar vehicles. How about an underwater level with harpoon instead of a shotgun and submarine instead of a motorbike and lots lots of aquatic monsters? Keep up with the great work.
