Most console games don't make the transition to the iOS platform very well, but NBA Jam is definitely an exception. The visuals are excellent, the controls are slick and intuitive, and most importantly the fun is still heavily packed in. This is far and away the best basketball game on your iPhone or iPod Touch, and I would say it is one of the best games on the app store period. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up immediately.

I'm not a sports nut. I don't really follow basketball. Nor do I play many sports games. But NBA Jam is one of my all time favorite games. Anyone old enough to have played it in the arcade or on the Snes, get this game. On my iPhone 4 - 60fps, no slowdown. Perfect controls. Retina support. Looks fantastic. The ONLY issue is that there is no gamecenter support and no multiplayer. No wifi, bluetooth, online. Nothing.I hope they add it at some point. But as it is now, it's still an amazing perfect port. Good job EA!

Without a doubt, NBA JAM is the best iOS sports game I have purchased and is easily one of the top iOS games I have played. I knew going into the game that the animation would pretty much make or break the experience. I'm stoked to say that they are all SUPER fluid and smooth. The game didn't have any hangups or issues with graphics/frame rate, etc. I especially like the players shooting animation!The reason for the four stars:a) Some of the menus (store in-particular) don't seem polished or optimized for the iPhone 4's retina display. b) The only way to crossover or spin is to shake the device. This is kind of an awkward movement in general, let alone when you're trying to control a player on the court. The moves add a little more dimension to the game; I would love for EA to address this in a future update!

A great throwback arcade game, brings back memories of playing the original for hours when I was in grade school. Excellent Game!

I loved when I played this game on Sega Genesis! Now I have it at the palm of my hands! Graphics are phenomenal and game play is spot on!They need to add free play where it's just you or you and your teammate on the court so you can practice your free throws, dunks and hotspots. Also add analog stick instead of the d-pad! And also what everyone else is saying add multiplayer and Retina Display!

Never played the original, but I always thought it looked fun....and I was right! I'm definitely with everyone else though, multiplayer would rock my socks 

NBA Jam is by far the best EA game released to date.What impress me the most was the controls and smooth gameplay.Finally someone nailed the touch controls for a sports game.Now that we have NBA Jam, we just need Madden NFL Arcade.

They did this classic justice. I was worried it could have been too good to be true but it is true it's NBA Jam on your freaking iPod!! Must have for any one like me who grew up on this game.

Thank you EA for NOT screwing this remake of a classic up!! It looks different than the original but so far this game has won me over just as easily as the original did! I'm not a fan of basketball personally but this series is just pure fun. If you're hoping this game is like the original it won't disappoint! Multiplayer would make this game so much better though.

Simply awesome. It is such a great pocket sports game. Graphics sharp and smooth gameplay. Great extras and unlockables. I do wish the mini games were in it an online play but I'm having a blast. Brings back old nostalgic feelings in a polished new way and it's on your phone! Who has the peanut butter? Cause EA brought the JAM!
