Nah.. That game was pure awesomeness + it has a story. This game is fun but it doesn't have a great feel like Doom Resurrection has :/ Love the on-rails aspect of the game. I am liking this more on my iPod touch 4 than the iPad- better feel for me.It would be nice to lose the video since this game has so much memory! :/ and here's hoping for more levels or DLC levels.This is definitely a steal for just $1.99

I have a major problem with this game that I want to share.I am really upset that I cannot appreciate and enjoy the so called stunning graphics and amazing presentation because I am too busy fighting off huge packs of mutants. All of this intense action has caused me to sit on the edge of my seat, frantically dodging and firing away at my futile attempts to save my life. I am also dismayed at the fact that I feel that I will become thoroughly immersed and sucked into this game, each play trying to outdo my previous run.It's not fair that I have to be subjected to the frightening, ear piercing screams from mutated souls as I fire away all the while feeling the intensity of the action, each bullet bringing me closer to the end of my clip, desperate for a reload. Honestly, I hate this game and Mr. Carmack for the late night I will spend tonight playing through again and again. As a result, my performance at work will most definitely be degradated because of a tiring night, and the fact that this can be played on my iPod Touch.How I loathe this game... Heed me warning, do NOT. Download this game, you will suffer...

This game is different than I thought it would be when it was first announced, but it is great! The graphics in this game look on par with the screens of rage I have seen; they are absolutely incredible! This game is an on the rails shooter, but it is honestly one of the funnest I have ever played. It feels similar to COD: Zombies, although that is a FPS Survival game; mainly because you are trying to survive and get points while watching your health and conserving ammo, and you have hordes of vicious creatures attacking you (the mutants kinda look like zombies... Kinda). The sound effects are great, and I enjoy the show host in the background making funny remarks and comments. What amazes me most about this, is that this is the HD version, but it didn't run my battery down very much from playing a few levels. I'm amazed at how low the price point is, cause I know I definitely would've paid more. This game is great, and I really hope that you explore rage on iOS more!

Yet another game that's amazed me. iOS is really shining with the games on it now! This game is stunning, as promised the graphics are simply stunning but the gameplay, flip me, it's on rails but its fast and frantic, and hard, I've had to turn it down to easy to get used to it!! And if has 4 difficulty settings and 3 levels.For the money you can't go wrong. This game REALLY REALLY REALLY makes you want to play the full Rage game right now cause if it's anything like this one...........Just buy it.

If a 'on rails' shooter is not your thing, still give this a try. This is a full on shooter that will challenge the best of FPS lovers. Graphically, IMHO, it scores 9/10 with the gameplay @ 10/10 for what it is....which is simply astoundingly great fun with great replay value. I keep doing the first level over and over again to see if I can better my score and get everything there is to get. I haven't even tried the other levels yet, lol. Best bang for buck in the AppStore by far. Great job I.D. software.

This game pushes the boundaries of iPhone/iPad gaming. It is a full blown first-person shooter with truly amazing graphics for a mobile device — it's quite an experience on the larger iPad screen. The quality is as high as what you would expect from one of the top game studios.As other reviewers pointed out, the game has only three levels/maps, but given the price and the very high re-playability, I think that is fine. As with any game, the controls require a bit of practice, but they work very predictably and are very responsive.

FINALLY, the game I've been waiting for MONTHS is finally here! The graphics just made me drop my jaw. So stunning on the retina display! Are you kidding me? The game play is so smooth and after a while of play my battery doesn't even get warm. Every intricate detail is expressed fully in the HD version. This game is truely worth every penny. I recommand all iphone 4/ ipod touch owners to give the HD version a shot, because this game totally redefines the power of the retina display and the advancements in iOs gaming! I'm just wondering one thing, will there be support for game center and perhaps multiplayer co-op via wifi in upcoming updates? Anyways thank you developers/ John Carmack, you guys rock!

Now it just needs gyroscope control…Surprising it isn't included. Or maybe it is, and there's just a problem recognizing that I'm using an iPhone 4. Either way, it's beyond excellent!Edit: Guess there isn't. Please add gyroscope support immediately; after all this MC2 and Nova, I must admit I feel entitled to it. The accelerometer option seems unplayable.And add leaderboards! What's the point of a game centered around getting a high score without leaderboards?!

Cons:This game is very hard to control in tilt mode. It'd be great if the game can use gyro control as another option. And yes the story line is quite short. It has three scenarios for you to choose from, each one takes less than 10 minutes to finish. More scenarios needed. Pros:As a game, it has the Best graphic ever on any mobile phone platform. Graphic quality is amazingly as good as xbox 360 without a doubt!Although the game is short but it is very fun to play. The game play is quite involving. You follow the pace of the game and shot, simple but exciting. It's kind like how you play "the house of dead" by sega. Love it. Overall, very worth the money. Loss one start because of the controlling.

If you can imagine it on a screen this size, then you're almost halfway to how good this game is. Think Bioshock meets the arcade's Area 51. Play with the controls until you get your golden setup and enjoy.

I did not know this was a rail shooter. I thought it would be a full fledged game. However, I was not disappointed. This game is awesome and runs well. I recommend playing it on nightmare.
