This is by far the best racing game on the iOS platform to date. The textures are incredibly crisp and edges aren't too sharp as to not hurt ones eyes. All in all great graphics matched with incredible gameplay mechanics has been put together to create the most thought out and thorough racing game zooming around the app store. Thus this game is a must have for any game lover on the iOS platform. The only notable downside is the distinct lack of an ipad counterpart of this game.Besides that this game is a winner!Good luck!

Wow as soon as you pick up the game, it doesn't feel like just another game on your phone or iPod. This one stands out from the pack and has definitely reached new highs in mobile gaming.An excellent racing game. Gameplay is real and engaging, the Circuits and Cars all look fantastic, especially on the Retina Display. A game for pro sim-racers and casual players alike, and the 16 car grid really makes a difference.All in all, its's worth every cent. They should have more stars available in the rating for this one game. :)

The cars, graphics, and challenge are great. I love the SS Camaro, my favorite car by far. However, I can't wait to get the McLaren though. This app actually forced me to learn what a dual clutch transmission was, I had no idea before. The game is overall awesome. The sound bug has only presented itself once, and it's really no big deal. Definitely worth the ten bucks. Happy to support firemint, hope to see some updates with other cars, maybe the new Dodge Challenger, or some Lamborghinis.

I loved RR1. It was my favorite game for my 3rd gen touch. I think I have a new one. RR2 is like a mix of RR1 and gt: motor accademy. The improvements are great. The graphics are crisp. I love the 16 car fields. I love the real cars. The little bit of damage you get is cool. Best racing app PERIOD $9.99 is pricy for an app game, but it is totally worth it. RR games are best because there's no turbo boost, no drifting, no power ups.

This is the best looking racing game on iOS. The great controls and visuals are back from the first game. Great to have licences cars now and multiplayer is well implemented.However when u restart a game or multitasking, there is no countdown to prepare u anymore. It just goes straight to the race. This is a step back from the 1st game. Also the cars look a bit weird without a licence plate.The multiplayer is impressive, however theres not much incentive. U don't accumulate any points, they are all individual races, that just end and u got to find a new one.These small things could be improve make the best racing game even better.

First off, let me state that Real Racing 2 is the best racing game on the app store right now, has the most stunning graphics and physics engine that I have seen so far (apart from Unreal Engine), and overall has presented the best racing experience of all racing games I have played. I have greatly enjoyed my time spent with the game and want to congratulate Firemint on a job well done.There are, however, a few things I want to shed some light on:First, for the limited amount of content delivered by RR2, $9.99 is a little pricey. Bumping down the price by even just 1-2 bucks would make a major difference.Second, regardless of price, future updates should include more cars and/or tracks. I can't help but say that I was expecting MORE better and different tracks from RR1, although I was very impressed with the upgrades to the already-existing tracks.Third, (I believe other users have had this issue?) There is no sound!!!! I have restarted my iPod multiple times and out of 10+ game launches I have only been successful in having sound on one of them.If these issues were to be addressed in the future I would give this game a 7/5.

I bought Real Racing 1 couple months ago just because I was looking for a decent racing game with good graphics. By then, I thought that it's best, from graphic prospective game. And so it was, but now, I'm amazed by what iPhone hardware is capable of. Real Racing 2 is by far, the best racing game, both visually and features packed. EA as usually, tried to bring many racing titles to App store, but to be honest, they failed. They could be good games, but just like with Battlefield Bad Company 2, they ruined the game by using cheap and poor quality graphics.Real Racing 2 has impressed me with the visual quality of cars, the road and with the rest of the environment. I've been playing this game for couple of days on my iPhone 3GS, and to be honest, I was slightly worried about how the game will run on my iPhone, but it's running just fine.I was though expecting smoother edges on objects, but I assume it is due to older hardware that would decrease FPS in the game but I believe that it works even better and never iPhone and iPod touches 4th Gen.Thanks to Apple's creation of great hardware, and the most advanced iOS4, many iPhone game developers can now take advantage, and create visually stunning games. Well done with this title. This is what I call iPhone Game. Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade best games on App Store!

How can people complain about no sound ?obviously it's a bug that will be fixed ,but to give it 1 star because of that COME ON !!!!! Only ten bucks for the best portable racing game ever I have a psp and nothing touches this game. iPhone games are going to get better and better this game and nova 2 and infinity blade etc are proof of that.all the effort this company put into this game and some twits have to give it one star because of a little sound glitch .it happened to me once, I restarted the game and no problems since. I guess upgrade to a iPhone 4 and you will experience this game as it was intended. I'm blown away by real racing 2 . There is no way nintenblo and pspee can compete racing wise to this game.

This is a incredible game no doubt about it the graphics are great on any iPod or iPhone(I have a 3rd gen iPod) and the gameplay is like gran turismo on my iPod. It lags a little bit sometimes even if it does it's still playable. I think the only thing they could do to make this game even better is to add more car makes like Aston martin, Lamborghini, Ferrari, mercedes, pagini! Worth every penny buy this game and well done firemint. Buy this game!

The first event is punishing but once you get over the learning curve the game is a blast! You could tell the creators and everyone involved in this game had fun making this. The little details here and there go a long way. I bought Real Racing when I first got my iPod Touch 4, I was really impressed with the graphics and gameplay but I could never really get involved in the game. I think this was because there weren't any real licensed cars and it all felt a bit weird. However, Real Racing 2 has me addicted already.The career mode is fantastic, really nice to see how it's all laid out. Progressing through it is really fun and it works well. The licensed cars are awesome, but I would like to see updates with more! (Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari etc). The graphics are brilliant and surpass pretty much all games on the app store right now (with the exception of Infinity Blade). Car models are really nice and the reflections on them look great. I also quite like the replay feature, the motion blur and different camera angles makes watching replays a real treat. Gameplay is fantastic and I like the various different control options.The only problem that I have noticed with the game lies with the sound, specifically when there are like 8-9 of the same car racing along side each other. The noise from the 8-9 cars can be the same, which then makes it all kinda begins to sound like a continuous drone. A bit annoying but it'll only bother you in like 1-2 races at the start of the game, for a very short period of time. (I guess this is a problem with all racing games).Overall a fantastic game, buy it now :)

First game I waited until it dropped to $5, and highly enjoyed it. This is the first ever game I've paid more then $5 for... and I don't regret it one bit. Amazing graphics. Great controls and gameplay. The new career mode and the licensed vehicles adds great depth to the game. Only bit it needs is either a rear view mirror or an arrow system (like codemasters racing games) to see cars behind when using bumper, hood or in-car views. Overall... amazing job Firemint, the iPhone racing game bar is now set to a new high.

Why complain about the lack of traffic, police and objects on track when you're playing a sim, not need for speed? When did you last see Jenson Button being done for speeding at Monza? This game is an achievement; the graphics are great and for it to have 16 cars on track with only slight frame rate drops on a 3GS is impressive. The damage looks reasonable, too. There's a good selection of cars, and while you can't modify their appearance beyond painting them, you do have to ask what the point would be, anyway.This is by far the best driving game I've played on the iPhone (and I've played a few), IF you're looking for a driving game. If you're only interested in nitrous boosted police chases in pimped rides then you'll be disappointed, but if you want a game with more realism you can't do better than this. Easily worth the price as far as I'm concerned. Amending my review to say I had no sound at first, then I'm not sure what happened (actually I think my phone ran out of battery) but I played it again and the sound was there.

Yes it has some bigs that need to be fixed but what game doesn't?This is strictly a simulation type of racing game. And other NFS games are arcade. If you know, NFS games are all reused its structure since undercover. May have increased it's graphics, but its apparent that they used previous structure again. NFS is kind of game that's out to make quick bucks. Look for other psp games that are as good as this. Those probably cost 19.99 or 24.99So ones who says this is overpriced? Get lost

The first game was a prototype compared to this. The difficulty curve in career mode is just right (finish last, and you get money to upgrade until you smoke everyone, or if you're good, you'll win sooner). The real cars are great. I did have the "no sound bug" once. I merely quit the app (including in multitasking), and it was fine when I fired it back up. I'm running on a 3GS and I haven't had it crash at all. If more cars are added eventually, great, but in the meantime, I'm having a great time collecting and upgrading them all, not to mention trying to get gold cups in all the different events.

I loved Real Racing 1. It had been my favorite game on the iPhone since the day I bought it. Real Racing 2 blows it away in every way.The graphics in the new game look amazing and everything just feels more realistic. Even the scale of the tracks feels better, making the old game feel like a toy. The handling of the cars feels right. I love all the cars on the track. I just can't say enough good things about this game.I did experience the bug that makes the game have no sound, but restarting the game took care of that and I have had no issues at all since then.If you love racing games at all, this is a must buy. I would gladly pay $20 for this game and still feel that I got my money's worth. I love it.

Fire mint has again set the bar for racing games on a mobile device. Real Racing 2 has it all insane graphix, online multiplayer, and Full Career and a fun and adidcting game. There however some negatives there is sometimes no sound in the game an there is not varity in the cars. Despite that it is now my favorite racing game. Ps. I wish i could choose seprate rooms in the online. Mode i want it easy to find my friends

What can I say about this game? In a word: AWESOME!! Firemint wowed me when I played the original Real Racing (which is even better now that you can play against up to four people), but Real Racing 2 is even better!! I was taken by surprise of the best graphics I've seen on the iPod!! It rivals that of the PS3!! The cars have much more detail, and now you can customize them, which is what you couldn't do on the original. In addtion to the Volkswagen cars, you can now choose from McLaren, Ford, Chevolet, Nissan, Lotus and Jaguar. I just wished there was the Bugatti Veyron in there!! However, sometimes the sound doesn't work. After the trailer, the game falls silent, and I have to exit the game and start again. This fixes the problem, but there may be some sort of bug that was probably overlooked. Other than that issue, the game works well on my 2nd Gen iPod Touch, except the replay, which is kind of choppy, but I give Firemint credit for making the game run on all versions of the iPod Touch. I highly recommend this game for all the racing fans out there!!!
