In comparision, this game's graphics are ds at best, it gets real confusing at some parts, but all it is, is a RE4 remixed with terrible ds graphics. It's still a fantastic game with zombies everywhere and nostalgia powering this power-house's growing fanbase. UPDATE: After replaying this fantastic game, Our EdgedOut reviewers regave it a new score of 95/100, which is record-breaking, next to Hero of Sparta which go a 99.99/100 review score!

I was to young to play re4 and still am according to my parents but i have fallen in love with the series and was excited to learn of the app. Now to the review. Pros: great 3D graphics, awesome re4/5 gameplay, great zombie design. Cons: the only real con is that it makes me want to by re4/5 now!!!!!! , also no typewriter The game is one of a kind. I litteraly tore myself away from the game to write this. I have beaten 2 chp. And have been scared several times (not just because I am 12). The game is amazing squeezing so much into 9.5 megs (this means you can download of edge or 3g). The best in the app store. If you are afan of resident evil or just love a game with great gameplay (and dont mind a scare every once in a while) buy now!!!! ;)

This game has some of the best graphics I've personaly seen in an iPhone game app so far. It is easy to follow which is good for being a game on an iPhone. The story is well layed out and easy to keep your concentration. The controls are a little weird to get used to but after about 10 minutes you'll get used to them. This game is worth it. I've been playing for about 1 hour and I'm still on chapter 1. Anything that can have my attention over an hour is worth 6 bucks. Buy it.

Resident Evil 4 on the iPhone

The title says it all. This game basically is a portable RE4. The controls are spot on and the gameplay is flawless. This has to be one of the finest games I have played on the iPhone.A little bit on the short side and it would be nice to see a part 2 where you play as Claire in the office building at the end of the movie.Maybe some control options in an update. An idea is an option where you point and shoot instead of using the "stick" to aim.Keep up the good work Capcom! Maybe Street Fighter or Devil May Cry next?Update: Thanks for updating the game with a stupid 3 second clip. Totally unnecessary and it deleted my save. How about improved OS 3 stability? I'd like to be able to listen to my music too instead of the bland in-game music.

Gameplay is pretty smooth considering your on a phone with a touch screen using a virtual analog stick! It's actually kinda awesome in the fact that you have the ability to explore just like the other RE games, plus the graphics aren't console or PSP worthy yet for a phone hold their own with no question. Navigation is dead simple and if you like RE in general you'll love this game. The only downside is the sound, you only get FX no actual voices just text which really isn't horrible at all just a creature comfort of playing games.

I love this app it is my favorite game on my ipod. And im a die hard fan. I love, love, love RE ive seen the movies and played the games and this is awesome. But please make another game were leon goes into the forest lik in the 4th game or make one with Chris lik RE 5 but please make another game!!!! How do u get the magnum????? More levels!! Also this has a lot of replay value but way to easy i beat the game on easy, hard, and professional and didnt die at all

Seriously, stop reading the reviews and buy this game! This game is a million times better than Metal Gear Solid (you just point & shoot). Graphics are awesome and gameplay is great! You move around similiar to Wolfenstein (on screen joystick). This does not seem like a cellphone game! Great job Capcom! Also great release price of 6.99 instead of 9.99! Please make more great games like this! ***Please add a touch screen camera, so you can swipe the screen to look around. Tough to see when going around corners.   For those who think this game crashes and to the guy who thinks most of his apps crash power down your phone and restart it! Hold the off button down on the top of the phone until a red button comes on the screen that says slide to power off. You have to do that when downloading new apps to keep the memory clear. Please learn how to use your phone instead of trashing the ratings of good apps.

I thought this game was going to be all laggy and the graphics wouldn't be great. Was I wrong, this game is phenominal. The graphics take me back to the original playststion resident evil but only better. A few things I think that could be improved in this game is the animations and have sounds when you pick up items. Also being able to chang the looking speed would be nice. Other than that, great game. Well worth the 7 bucks if your a resident evil fan.

I was the biggest fan of RESI  which is why i decided to buy this game! First off, best 3d moving around game, with s or s, i mean this game almost rivals ps2 gsmeplay... But there are some things to improve or change, like for example: Bring back the attache case, like the moving around the stuff one. Make saving much more easier, like the typewriters again, or just at the menu TURN BLOOD ONor off again if squeamish or what ever and finally... MAKE RESI i know you can, or at least just the village!!! Please!!! Sell it as a different game but make it!! Again, please MAKE IT!!!! Brilliant game... Absolutly brilliant... !*!*!EDIT!*!*! Capcom you legend!!! You finally made resident evil 4!!! That is brutal man!!! Im downloading now!!! 

Any bad review about this game is complete bs. I read one guy complaining that you can run and shoot. You couldn't in any Resident Evil games and if you didn't like any of those games than this isn't for you. Anyways this is a great game! The graphics suprised me for a mobile game. Deffinatly worth the $6. Any fan of the RE series should pick this up. Think of the game this way RE4 but with actual Zombies and Tyrants. I was skeptical about the aiming but a guided aiming helps out a lot. The weapons are classic RE but with a Merchant-esk guy to upgarde then for you. Also has a high replay value with the addition of the Mercinaries game when you beat the man game. Buy this game!!

All I can say is wow. I've always been a fan of the resident evil series. And this one is exactly like all the others, just a downfall in graphics. However, for a handheld, this has amazing graphics, and yet still maintains solid frames per second. It's amazing! If you like resident evil 4 especially, then you'll love this one. It's exactly like that one but it takes place in an airport instead. This is by far in every way, the greatest app I've ever played.

Finally a real game for the iPhone!

This game really delivers, and felt a bit pricey at first. But for real fans of the series, or those über curious, it is well worth the money! It does really, really, REALLY, need some voice acting. I mean, Leon S. Kennedy is one of the most badass characters in gaming history! Do Leon and his pal Hunnigan justice by getting their voices on this amazing game! Hopefully my review helps a few people who are on the fence. P.S. A resident evil game with no blood...? WTF?!

I kept waiting on a price drop, got bored so I bought Resident Evil: Degeneration. I stopped buying RE games when I threw out my PS2 and XBOX. I always just thought they had decent graphics, yet BS controls, views and overall interface. Now, in buying this on a whim; I'm "blown away =)". impressive graphics for a game under 10 mb, nice fluid game play and overall a console quality game. My final verdict= I'm suprised this isn't the #1 paid app on the store! This game is unparalleled and hopefully other major game developers and producers take this as a model and start bringing some actual competition.

Better than the re on the ds!!!!

I have played all of the re games ever and I thought I was done with the series after re5, well I recently got an iPhone and was browsing through the apps and found this awesome masterpiece of an app!! It'S amazing for a handheld phone game and definitely a must play for any resident evil fan. But also I highly recommend watchixng the movie version of this game first. Anyway, Leon Kennedy rocks!!!!!!

Amazing game. Love it. As. Fan of resident evil 4 for the gawecube I really like the feel of the game. Fans of the original resident evil series will love this. I just have one major problem. I'm stuck in the warehouse where the second boss is. I was on the plane and went through the cargo hold and dodged the gross thing with the buttons appearing on the screen but now I have to fight him? Or press buttons that unlock airplane engines? What am I supposed to do? I try to kill him(using the riot gun upgraded all the way and the handgun upgraded all the way) but he still kills me. I can shoot at his heart and it will hurt him but I don't know what else to do. I also press the button and have one airplane engine get free. Is there another one? Please help!!!

Ok, I am a massive resident evil fan, so when i saw this, I bought it straight away, not only is a full resident evil game for an ipod, but it even has mercenaries mode which has been a big part of resident evil since RE3 on the PS1, giving the game an even bigger life span. the graphics are fantastic considering its a game on the ipod and the sfx will make you jump. Yes, like most resident evil review recently seem to go on about, "you can't move whilst shooting" but A. that is what resident evil is all about, it makes it more urgent when a zombie is coming towards you. and B. it would not work on the ipod at all. The controls will take some getting used to, but stick at it. It is also quite a long game. One of the things i was very happy to see is the return of the merchant (like in RE4). It made me smile a lot.
so, if you a RE fan, or if you want to have the best game on the ipod, you NEED to buy this, i wish there were more stars to give it. 6 out of 5 in my opinion.
thank you capcom!! (just one thing, make an update so you can switch on blood and cool head shots)

Loved it. Please support Capcom so we see more.

I bought this game the second I saw it was released. But I wanted to review it after I finished playing it (took me a while to start). The whole game took me just shy of three hours, but I enjoyed the whole thing. Even the back tracking. This game actually felt like a RE game. And the bonus mercenary mode once you've beaten it is a huge plus. I am really looking forward to RE4 on the iPhone. Thanks Capcom.

This game is just brilliant. The graphics are top notch, the music's very atmospheric, and the difficulty is just right. The game gives you just enough help to keep the game going and is not too linear. There's a good storyline to keep you interested also. Once you get the hang of the control system and upgrade your guns to reload and shoot faster, you will be running around with confidence blowing away zombies with abandon. Best game on the iPhone so far, at a great price, buy it now !

I love this game! Updates needed: 1. Less charge needed Could you try to make it use up less charge please I understand if this is impossible! 2. More guns BOOM!!! Should be able to purchase some kind of heavy rocket launcher that blows up zombies! 3. Glitch problem!!! Every minute or so the game slows down for about ten seconds! Overall this game rocks!!! I am truly amazed by this fantastic little, i mean big game. I have played most of the resident evil games and don't normaly buy apps, I exspected a on rails shooter but what i got was resident evil 6. beter graphics then a psp and same camara as res 4. I also found this story very interesting as it is set in a great time period set just afer res2 just when the outbrake starts. it is fairly short for a res game at about 4 hours but includs a lot of replayability including mersenrys mode seriously give it a try even if you dont buy apps I would love to see this game get bigger please add some more levels please!
