Worth the 10 bucks but I would like to see an update where u can customize ur character and instrument and add more places and be able to create a band. the controls are fine. p.s. all the people who say the controls are hard EA, there idiots. keep the price where it is or maybe lower 1 or 2 or 3 bucks because this is worth 10 bucks like I said at the beginning of the review. buy it, it us wicked awesome! p.s. EA don't make a rock band 2 for the updates like tap tap does, thanks.

As an owner of Rock Band 1 & 2, I can honestly say this is a refreshing twist on the game. I find it less stressful and easier overall. For those complaining about lag, too small buttons and registering problems ... learn2play. Medium is a breeze once you get past an initial learning curve ... and hard is where it's at. Have some rhythm and master those small notes by sliding your finger ... you'll find the game very rewarding. Good selection of tracks too.

Pretty surprising how well it actually works, I had my doubts but once you get going its actually pretty good. Even though every instrument is essentially the same, the way the songs are programmed makes them feel like they should (bass feels like the bass, drums like th drums, etc).. The only one really lacking is the singing, it's actually pretty weak. Also, lack of online live multiplayer is kind of weak (tap tap can kind of do it).. but overall pretty solid..

I had been waiting for this game for quite a while, and I must say it was worth it. Many people complain that the game is priced too high or that it doesn't compete with Tap Tap, but I think in this case you get what you pay for. There is a very high level of replay value, as opposed to Tap Tap which I don't find myself using playing all that much. I also feel that the games are trying to hit different markets. Rock Band goes for songs that are fun to play in a rythym game, unlike Tap Tap, which bases most of its song selections off of what songs are hot at the moment. The only thing that I hope to see in the future is more DLC. The price for two Rock Band songs is only 99 cents, making the tracks cheaper than the songs themselves in iTunes. Seeing how there is a massive amount of tracks available for Rock Band and Rock Band 2 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, I am pretty confident that we will see the selection of tracks available grow rapidly for this game.

Despite the fact that there are occasional glitches, maybe once in every 10 tracks played, and despite the price, I give this one 5 solid stars. This game gives me a rush, and the music that comes with it happens to fit well with my tastes. I figure there will be updates for the bugs and/or performance issues, but even if there isn't, I don't regret this purchase at all. I can't wait for more music to come online as well. If I had a little U2, I'd have a hard time putting it down for sleep or food.I have filled all my available slots for apps on my iPhone a year ago, and I just rotate out games as I buy more. This is my favorite of every game I've played so far.Update:Glitches only happen when I'm on the train. 3G signal searching, or the bumpy ride... Something on the train causes the track to go out of sync occasionally.Still my favorite by far.UPDATE: After the first update, no more glitches! Better overdrive control! PERFECT!

I used to be, and still am, a huge fan of Tap Tap. I like the simplistic design of it an the song selection for being a free game. But now it has some good competition. Rock Band has a massive fan base that is far larger than Tap Tap, and therefore it can only be a disappointment for Harmonix if the iPhone rendition of the music game genre were to fail. But I am here to say that this is far from ever happening. At first I was worried about spending $10 on a game that I thought couldn't be brought to a phone properly (see Guitar Hero) but I decide to take a chance and gave into their demands. As of the minute I started the game I was not disapointed. I enjoy the fact that Harmonix has brought the entire menu theme to the iPhone. But the most important part is in the game. Where as Tap Tap has three bars for notes, Rock Band implements four. The space can get cramped but the extra difficulty and variety make it worth while. The song selection is great and it allows you get buy songs two at a time for a dollar. Although the only thing I did not like is that the vocals part does not allow singing. The iPhone has a mic but they did not use it. But this is not a deal breaker. The extra content and variety make it worth every cent.

One song on world tour mode?

Not sure if I'm the only one with this problem but when I am in world tour mode it only gives me ace of spades to play???? All other modes work ok but im having a major issue with world tour mode. I have never givin such a poor review and I would love to change it when that mode works properly Ok so I uninstalled the game and re downloaded it and it seems to work perfect now. Just a tip for anyone that had the same problem

I'm a big fan of rhythm games and this is the best you can get for your iPod or iPhone. It includes Bluetooth multiplayer and it syncs with your Facebook. It comes with a great selection of songs from both RockBand and RockBand 2. It includes DLC and both local and online tour modes. I hope for more DLC in the future. Knowing Rock Band's 900+ song list, there will be plenty of DLC. Give it time; it's only been out for 6 days. Definitely a 5 star app.

I love how similar it is to the other Rock Band games, my only issue is with the vocals - I wish there was an option to use the microphone (on iPhone and iPod touches with appropriate hardware). I also hope they add more songs to their store, as it's a small selection. The app is off to a great start though, so I hope future updates make it even more awesome :) Worth the buy, even at the high price (cheaper than Rock Band on any other console).

For those of you complaining it's too much like the console version, stop complaining. It is EXACTLY like the console version, but who says that's a bad thing? I will be playing this for many many hours and will be buying many many songs just like I have for RB2 on my 360.
The only disappointments in the whole game:
A. No ACTUAL singing. Knew it wouldn't happen, but you could've made it like American Idol with the tilt/touch pitch control.
B. No character creator. Was hoping for this one, but I'd rather the game be good then have it and stink.
C. No Tapulous-esque network. This means no online play, no achievements, no chat, etc. Add in Plus+ (not OpenFeint it stinks).
If the game gets these, it willl blow Tap Tap Revenge out of the water! (Meaning the sales chart!)
Overall, I will continue to support Harmonix AND EA Mobile. Keep up the great work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game has it all! I like the fact that the 4 instruments feel so different from each other when playing! The presentation is as good as it can be on this platform; the gameplay is smooth and responsive; feedback is great (your instrument even fades out when missing notes). Can't wait to try facebook connect, live BT mp with my friends!
Also, there are great songs on the music store for really cheap, you get 2 for 0.99$.

*UPDATE AS OF 12/1/09*I really like this game, and it's really almost 5 stars, but I want EA to support this game for a long time just like the Doodle Jump guys/gals.I Know EA can do it, this game just needs:1. Better Sound Quality *kinda sounds better, I think*2. More Songs *a few more are up, but would like a bunch*3.Frame Rate is FIXED! Score!4. Fix that vocal mode. (Would rather not have it than have a bad attempt at it) Those are just what the game should fix, there alot I would want from this game, but before that, let's just the basics fixed and the rest will be extra. So far so good, now I'm going to back to playing this game.

I'm not gonna lie at first I wanted to buy this, but after it came out I was reading all of the reviews and everyone said it was bad and laggy. So I said nvm I'm not gonna buy it. But after a week or two after it came out I watched the appvee video and it convinced me. When I bought it I was surprised this game was great. Kids say it's laggy but they can shove it. First of all turn it off when u buy it and second if u actually play rockband u would know that u need to hit the notes dead on, if not then miss. Take my word buy it, it's worth the money.

Love the game but wtf with the songs?

Great overall can't be topped. But, add some metal please. Who in Gods name listens to "we got the beat?" Add some more songs that are worth-while like Lamb of God, Iron Maiden. Even better would be import the whole RB2 song list! Or, allow people to import songs from their own iTunes library. And I'm adding this now. PLEASE ALLOW LANDSCAPE!!!!! I find it so hard to believe that this music game doesn't have that.

Great app. A must-have.

Awesome app, been waiting a long time for Rock Band™ or GH to come out. Only a few suggestions. Please make it so that we can flip a switch in options or something to make the fret board come all the way down the screen and we hit the actual note, instead of hitting a drum. It gets very confusing sometimes. Also, please fix the drum chart so it is red yellow blue green. Thanks. Finally, the chords are laggy. Please fix this. In conclusion, It is a great app, but needs some improvement and maybe a few more songs.

This game totally blew me away. I thought it was gonna be a Tap-Tap with make-up on it but man! This game is absolutely awesome. Excellent graphics and songs and gameplay and I love what they did with online play and Tour. Hope for more free DLC on this and keep rocking out *uses overdrive* m/Excellent job on the update you guys, you really know how to make the game better ^^Still Looking forward to seeing lots more free DLC in the future!

Awesome game ignore the ignorant ones crying foul saying"I deserve more for ten dollars" it's a mobile game there will be a little lag as far as songs I love playing them over and over again besides when it first came to consoles it took a while for songs to start coming in steady.this a great move for the series and I can't wait to see where it goes from here or what kind of songs on the way to the mobile!!!! There are a few minor lag spikes yes..... But not enough to hurt the experience. Keep I'm mind this a huge jump from console to mobile and a very welcome one that tops out a cheap imitator like..... Oh you know!!!!

Soo worth what your paying for! Everyone shold have this app its sweet! The minor problem is that they need more songs. I sure hope that they have an update where more songs are in the music store. Also they need to make a level thats harder than hard, I have rockband on wii and I play expert so it seams to easy for me. I sure hope that the update makes you play with everyone online because i dont have freinds that have iphones or ipod touhes! Great game overall!
