Good, update is excellent=)  rating of Slope Rider

Slope Rider is a damn good game. It is a version 1.0 release, so of course there are minor "tweaks" and fixes that the developers will surely address in an update. The game has many strengths: 1.) Awesome 3D graphics, fluid and smooth. 2.) Tons of courses that are varied and extensive. Some are set up more for speed runs and some are more set up for tricking on, all can be played in either Alpine mode (racing) and/or Freestyle mode ( tricks/points) 3.) Controls are solid. It takes a few runs to "get" the controls, but they are now very playable for me, and I can't see a better way theycould have implemented them, now that I'm used to them. SR is a ported game of it's PC counterpart and with the implementation of touch and tilt controls IMO it is more immersive. The sense of speed you get is blazing, you need quick reflexes and thinking to have a record setting run, but you get a real sense of satisfaction when you see your name at the top of the record list. I am really suprised that I get no slow-downs or stutters with as fast as the framerate appears to run:) To the developer; I will give 5 stars when the ui size is increased and a few other minor issues are updated. As it stands now, 4 1/2 star game. Awesome job with the new UI, and excellent online leaderboards!

Graphics are extremely impressive. Gameplay offers two modes using the same courses: alpine (a downhill race against an AI boarder) and freestyle (no racing, just tricking) The controls are taking some time to get used to, but they are responsive. Unlockable courses is a plus, as well as a motivator! There is a fair amount of customization--level of graphic detail, game speed, accelerometer sensitivity, and the ability to independently switch on/off game music, character voices and other noise effects.
I still cannot believe that Monte Boyd is a one man show! Great work!

Great Snowboarding Game!  rating of Slope Rider

Great snowboarding game! I had some trouble with the controls at first, but after some practice and adjusting the game speed (slow it down and turning is easier) and sensitivity, I'm getting better :). I like that this game has two modes- racing mode and a freestyle mode. Graphics are well done. You can really tell a lot of work went into this. One of things that impressed me the most about the graphics was the trail in the snow the board leaves behind. Even the other player in the racing mode leaves a trail. Nice polished effect. The online scores is also a nice touch. There a lot of different tracks, so no shortage of content. Any chance we might see multiplayer? :) Overall very nice game!

When it comes to snowboarding on the iDevice, there aren't too many options. Fortunately, one of those options is Slope Rider. Slope Rider offers tons of game options and plenty of fun. Controls can have a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be carving down the slopes in no time. Worth picking up for snowboard enthusiasts, though casual fans might not find it as appealing.

Different Snowboarding Game  rating of Slope Rider

Slope Rider is similar to the other snowboarding games in the AppStore, but has it's own style. You can choose from two modes to play from - Alpine and Freestyle. Alpine is a race to the finish, but Freestyle let's you bust out your tricks. Graphics are similar to the other AppStore snowboarding games, as well as controls, but with some slight differences. The controls can be hard to use at first, but there are settings that you can use to adjust them to your liking. There are several levels to unlock and choose from. And a few different characters to play with. All of this makes Slope Rider just as good as any other snowbording game on the AppStore, and depending on your likes, it also gives it the opportunity to be the best appstore snowboarding game available.

First I'd like to say those giving it a one star rating for the controls are wrong. As it may not be the best controls, the accelerometer is easy to pick up and play (And I like it). It has two modes a timed and freestyle. I prefer freestyle as to win you have to do the most tricks, with the most points. The tricks I find are kind of hard to do but very rewarding when you do a great combo. I found this very fun and doesn’t get stake as it has 13 maps. This is a keeper in my Ipod and very well worth the money. My only gripe is that if players had stats that would be nice. Overall I give it a 4/5.

lets go iPhoneboard  rating of Slope Rider

Slope Rider is snowboard simulation/arcade game for iPhone. It reminds me of Tony Hawk or Shaun games for consoles. Graphics are great, game is running all the time with solid fps, but best part are controls. There are no buttons to control with, your tricks and how snowboard reacts, it is all based on how you tilt your iPhone. It may be little tricky at first, so you will to practise a lot (patience required) but it is cool experience. There are 13 stages in Slope Rider, all for both freestyle (tricks and points) and alpine riding (time trial) modes. Game also has AGON online scoreboards (career points based) so you can check how good you are. I can recommend this game to everyone who enjoyed snow/skateboard games at PC/consoles.

Good game could be great  rating of Slope Rider

I dont know why this has been getting poor scores. It is very fast, and i like the way that it deals with the redraw fading in rather than the ugly pop-up you get in other snowboarding games. It's got a decent number of courses, and you can pull loads of tricks. If you like snowboarding, you should like this. However the menu screen def needs some tlc, and is it just me or is it very difficult to beat the cpu. Also it could do with some better animations for different amounts of turn, and a few wipeout animations would be good too. And perhaps some kinda career mode and unlockables. But despite those little issues, it is running on a great graphics engine, and i hope the dev keeps the updates coming
