I have racked up about 100 hours of play with this game, and I love it. It's well implemented and has clear instructions, and the games are of a challenging difficulty level without being impossible to win. The stats feature is included with this version and I am do thankful that they didn't limit the users utility if anything. If you are having a hard time figuring out the game, check the "rules" for help. They are clear and concise, and I now have two new favorite versions of solitaire!

I should probably just pay for the upgraded app from this company. It's the least I can do since I've played this thing so much. It's beautifully crafted: looks good, well animated, plenty of stats, decent instructions, and includes a couple of easy versions of games. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that roll-overs in Klondike would be appreciated (as a kind of intermediate level of skill). Some of the games are really tough, but persevere. It's a bit of the luck of the draw, and you do have both undo and restart features for a given game to hone your skills. One minor point, and this may simply be a function of the legibility of cards, but when you have a full King-to-Ace stack of cards, the two and ace tend to fall off the bottom edge of the screen. The screen scrolls intelligently of course but it's a small niggle where everything else us thought through perfectly. The paid version simply includes more games, but of course they're also more obscure. Gray work!

This is a must download. "Holy crap I can't believe this game is challenging"  bunch of winers... 95% of the reviews that have gramatical errors are fail reviewers. In all honesty the interface is clean, fun, simple. Get this app You will not regret it. What more could you ask for WHEN IT'S FREE Pay the .99 to even get the full version. This is the single most used app on my ipod. 

Excellent animation, does what it is supposed to do, without maddening extras. I really prefer the tap select method--drag & drop is too slow & frustrating to hit the target.
Others have complained that it's impossible to win, but like REAL solitaire, you often have to play many games to win. I've had this 2 days & have won 13 Klondike, 9 Baker's Game, and 1 Demon, which is really difficult. Much more addictive than I expected this app to be.
I also think the portrait view is perfect -- I would not use the landscape view even if it was available. Also, other apps with landscape sometimes flip into landscape too easily, forcing me to flip it back.
One of the best apps I have, and it's free. I'm now interested in the full version.

This app is very easy and intuitive to use, and I love being able to play for 5 minutes while I'm waiting for someone. There are currently five games (although this has increased since I downloaded it), ranging from ones that are fun in a mindless way to ones that really make you think, as well as from ones that are winnable almost every time to ones that are much more luck/skill dependent. Of all the iPhone apps I have downloaded, this is among the ones I have used the most (yes, I realize that's a little sad).

This app is really fun. I play it all the time , when ever i'm bored, or listening to music. I love this app because it has solitare. I love solitare and i really didn't want to have to pay for it, but then i found this. It has i think 4 different types of solitare and they were all for free! I also like the fact that I can play the game and still listen to my music. I love this app and i would recomend it to anybody that likes card games. and the best part is...if you don't like it, you can just delete it. Its not like you're gonna be losing any money on this app, so just try it out.

If you are a fan of Solitare, you can't beat this App! Don't waste your money on the others, get this one for free. I play this everyday on the commute and it is totally addictive. Awesome graphics and easy playability. It even keeps stats like games won, lost, time played, score, etc. for each type of game. I can't believe that they didn't even charge 99 cents for this App because it is worth more.

This is basically the best Solitare you're going to get anywhere.

First of all, there are three different types of Solitare, which is great if you ever get bored of one. The cards are easy to select and move by simply poking the screen in the neccessary places. My only complaint is that you may frequently get dealt cards that you absolutely cannot win at (of course that's more luck than anything) and this can be frustrating when you have to start over several times, but I suppose that makes since because you won't always be able to win a game of Solitare in real life either. Great app, just go download it, you won't be disappointed.

This has got to be the hardest solitaire game to win!!! I'm not just complaining about never winning. This game really is hard to win. It took about 15 games before I actually won the game. That being said... I love the graphics, the animations are very smooth. I have literally played this game for an hour or so at a time -- depending on how much time I have to spend waiting on a flight, an appointment, whatever. It is the best solitaire game that I've seen on the iPhone.

I always loved this card game as a child, learned it from my Grandfather. So, this is one of my favorite apps. Thanks for making it so fun & fair (I've gotten other apps that aren't designed well obviously programmed in favor of the computer, so I appreciate this game is FAIR!) I'm enjoying learning the other versions offered with this app as well. Some are really challenging & that makes it more fun!! Great app. Big thanks to the team that designed & programmed this one. Well done team! Can't believe it's free!!! Love it & appreciate it!

I have spent hours and hours playing this game. There are 5 different versions of solitare within the game, so when I get tired of one version, I play the other. There are versions of solitare that I didn't even know existed until I found this game. I especially enjoy the undo version! It also records your stats, which is kind of embarrasing when I see just how much time I have waseted playing it. This game is totally worth downloading, and even worth paying for!

Really good ! Best solitaire game on the app store, and free.. Have only tried Klondike so far though
But its better than Solitaire on the older iPods and you should definitely install ! I can't believe this has only 3.5 stars.. People are giving it one star because thy can't beat it. That means you're rubbish , not the game. I've played 40 games and won 5, which might make it challenging but it's amazingly fun.

(Edit) I've played on this app for over 10 hours (according to the stats timer) and I've only played one of the 5 available games! The graphics are smooth and the game play is seamless. It's free and a lot better than many paid apps. Get it if you like Solitaire- you won't be disappointed. Recently, some users are complaining of not being able to win. What good is a game without a challenge? Anyway, I've won 62% of my games so it's not impossible.

This app is a great solitaire implementation. The graphics are clean, the animation smooth. (The cards in other apps look really cheesy.) Everything works, is easy to see, plus there are extras like "undo."
The only drawback I can think of is that it may be a drag if you are left handed -- I am able to play it using only my right thumb.
By the way, what's with people deducting stars because it is hard to win? That's solitaire, people, not the app!

These people know solitaire. I stayed addicted to the free Palm version for 6 years until this came out. Yes, the games are very hard to win; that's how they are in real life. Yes, it would be more intuitive to be able to drag cards, but I doubt they will add that to a free app that conforms to the Apple UI guidelines. In terms of usability and beautiful appearance this is just what I expected and more.

This is a perfect game of solitaire. I like that the card flips the next one over for you automatically instead of having to go back and do it manually as on my hp ipaq. I never heard of the other games before, now I'm a pro. Easy to learn, but very challenging games. I play bakers game all the time. Nice to have something for to play on my iPhone instead of just games to occupy my kids. I can't believe this is free! I'll soon download the pay one! I do not Bakers game now since the update! Please change back!
