I have been waiting for this for so long, I always enjoyed tap tap but the problem was that so few of the songs it had I would enjoy playing along to. All that's changed, I listen to metal such as lamb of god, all that remains, devildriver etc, which I saw nothing of in the previous tap tap games. I'm absolutely amazed with this app, both free and definately something. If you like tap tap, I ORDER you to download this, I can only hope this does not have a price later on when lots of people play this. Excellent app, highly recommend it * * * * *

Amazing. Feels so much better creating and tapping to decent music that I get to choose myself. Why isn't this 5 star for such a great free app better than alot of paid apps. P.s if would be slightly easier to know when you lose a streak if you make it flash for example if you miss a note. On a second note if you add upload to Internet sync tuning for when you hit two notes at the same time and the option for 3 4 5 or rails to create on the modifications I said earlier and more clear hold down taps as well( reccomend a line) put a price tag in return for these modifications and this would be much better than ttr3 . P.s you would also have to vary the design and interface for different tracks.Keep up the good work and please consider some of these reccomendations.

I have finally been able to play my pumped up songs and be able to create my own notes to play my selected playlists. This is so awesome guitar hero doesn't even have this option yet and I would just like to say a few words to the creator and desiner of this app. Dude I love you! Finally I don't play crap songs with crappy notes (like tap tap revenge) I wish I could hug you lol. Thank you thank you so much and thank you apple for putting it in the app store :). ....................................................................................................................................... Edit: New update. Why put up new ads for the update? Really dissapointing guys..

I like it that you can record your own steps, here are some suggestions for the next update.1.changable bg to any pic u want2.speed modifier slider (1-5)3.better play button hits, u know where when u hit a note? Could u make more like Guitar hero style? At least an option to switch between the two4.Up to 4-5 buttons for record and play5.maybe irrachangeable button colors6.some kind of share system to where if a friend has the same song they can play the same notes on their iPhone7.landscape viewJust some thoughts, please take into consideration. Thank you  10 gold stars

It's free and works fine on the itouch (2G)
You just pick any song from your library and then start creating your own taps. Can be very addictive!
Perhaps maybe in the next version, think about: deleting previous songs, two-player mode and possibly sending your version of taps through bluetooth or wi-fi?
Other than that, it's a great game. Recommended for everyone, go on download and try it, what have you got to lose?

Yay! I love this game! I'd been playing Tap Tap Revenge for a while now and liked it, but I didn't like many of the songs. But now this is here, and it's great! :)However, there are a couple of improvements that I think need to be made...I would love an option to select your own background for each song. Perhaps even a couple of different colour schemes. There needs to be an option to delete previous Taps. I made a new song, but don't like the taps on it, so want to delete it but I can't.I'd also like a place that lists all the songs that have Taps, not just the 8 most recent. I'd even pay a small fee for it, if it had all that! But apart from that, I do love the game. :)

AMAZING. I downloaded this app when i was bored and i straight away fell in love with it ! It's great creating your own tap pattern and very good fun.For upcoming updates maybe there could be a multiplayer mode. It would also be better if you could create your own background or theme when you create the tap pattern.It would also be nice if you could be able to create more than one tap pattern for each song and be able to create different difficulty patterns on every song.But the app is amazing and great fun especially if you have a large amount of songs in your library. It is simple to create and play your songs and very quick and easy. It makes tap tap revenge look like rubish and i believe this is much better. Tap tap revenge is no contender to the hours of fun you can have on tap studio.A definate must have app!

Best App I've encountered in a long time, I looked for one like this for ages and now its finally here! Its sooo good AND its free (for now, anyway)! This is a really good App! You need to get this now!Improvements: 1) To take the idea of a more personalised Tap Tap game further, it would be nice to be able to set a background image for each song that is also saved when the song is made, much like the "themes" in the Tap Tap Revenge franchise.2) To be able to upload your creations online and have them rated and dowloaded by other users, similar to GHTunes of the Guitar Hero franchise.3) A smarter inferface, maybe sound effects on the menu screen, a nicer font (Comic Sans is so generic...) and a theme tune to be played in the background (perhaps the player could choose this song from their library?).4) A "shake-to-acticate multiplier" system, like Revenge Mode on Tap Tap Revenge and Star Power on Guitar Hero.5) While playing your songs the game sometimes slows down, freezes or has all the notes travelling at different speeds, which is extreamely annoying, this happens at least once on almost every song.6) I find long notes difficult to create, they should be more simple, the glittery effects are not worth the effort. I find that I have to hold for a long time to create any effect, but what if I want to create smaller held notes?7) When creating chords in songs, it is very hard to get both notes hit at the same time, so it would be nice to be able to edit creations after they were first made without having to go through the whole process again, so you could drag the notes in line with eachother and iron out glitches in individual songs.8) The possiblity of Bluetooth play, as long as the application would still work with those who don't have it, such as anyone with an iPod Touch.

Update: songs save fine on 3.0. On 3.1 there are issues, for now. Dev, please add extra info in terms of song performance. Currently, the game displays the highest score total for every completed song. The completion percentage needs to be displayed as well. You can add as many notes as you want, so your final score means nothing. Completion % in this game means everything. A star or grade system is usually standard fare as well. Either 1 thru 5 stars, or F thru A grade. Or S, or SS, as highest grade for FC (no missed notes). And im sure people will like to see a survival mode. A life meter that rises and falls based upon your performance. When the meter drops to zero, you fail the song. You can have both a fail mode and a no fail mode. I kinda like the no fail, so don't take it out. Add, don't subtract. Wow. Just wow. I mean, I speechless. I know it's ad-supported but I don't even care because the ads cannot be seen when you're playing or recording a song.I just cant believe this is free. It does exactly what the description says it does. It works flawlessly and it's awesome. I can't follow the exact note chart when recording, but I can follow the general rhythm of a song and that's good enough. You don't have to be an expert to enjoy this. I just charted the last 2-minutes of Amazin' by Aerosmith, and played it back. I always wanted to see this song in a rhythm game and it was incredible. It felt so much more authentic than BeatRider, even with my "novice" chart, because I was able to adequately match the tempo.I'm awe-struck. Seriously. I cannot imagine why someone would rate this poorly, unless they can't figure out how to work it. There are no instructions and I did watch a pre-release video of this on Touch Arcade a while ago, so I had a referrance point for what to do.Either you love this game or you don't know how to get it to work. One or the other

Performs as expected, possibly even better. The first astounding thing is of course, it's your own music. The next is that the gameplay is neither altered nor different. Stays true to the styles of Guitar Hero, Rockband, and Tapulous. The graphics are very well done, and of course, it's free! Here's a tip though, try an ingame music library displaying all converted songs, allow for wireless song & score share, competitive mode maybe, and this game deserves the spotlight wayyyyyyy more than TTR3.

Glad somebody finally did this. Tap tap wasn't they're pawning too much money to make people able to create their own songs. Two issues however, I wish you could save some of your favourite songs, and like the guy before me, an online community, where you can share and rate songs, I think it should work that they basically make the taps to go along with a certain song, and if it's off, we can calibrate it (+10secs - -10secs) with our music

This is great! Hey a note to everyone who says you can only play your 7 most recent recordings it's not true! You can play all your recordings just press go and then hit the music button. Then just select a song you have already made a recording for! Next update sharing! Just share the tap sheets for free and say what song they go to. It would be ok because the person would have to own the song to have the taps be in sync with the music! Once again this is great!

I think it would be awsome if for your background you could choose a picture from your photo library and then make custom pics for your taps and then upload the songs for download. That would make this game the best free ge on the app store. Also hold notes should be able to go on as long as you want and should be potrayed by a line becuase it's hard to tell when the note us over with the sparkels. Anyway if you are considering this app go and get it don't ask questions just go.

I love this app, but you need either an update or release a pro version and add these features:List of all songs you made a tap toHave a database for songs so users can upload and share their songs, with a search systemAbility to delete songsShow high scores and percentagesAbility to change backgroundOptiona for different style of taps (for example circular or rectangular)Ability to add effects to the taps and suchOverall for a free game this is amazing, and if you were to put the features I mentioned in an update or even a paid version it would deffinately get 5 stars!

I've been waiting for an app, which lets you play taps to your own music for soooo long. That was what made the original TTR fun. Listen to music YOUR music while playing taps, instead of playing taps to songs you don't like and don't want to listen to. So this app is great it does exactly what i want. I hope we will be able to share our taps in the future, but for now i'm very happy i get to create and play my own taps!

This is so much better than TTR!!! I've finally created those Metallica songs I've always wanted!!! The only thing this needs is a full list of all the songs you've created, the ability to delete songs from your list, and multiplayer. Other than that...TTR is 99 cents and you have to play with the songs you download from them. This is free, and you can create your own games from any song in your library. Do the math.
