It gets so hard at level 29 on easy, but it seems to be a lot easier playing on medium or hard difficulties. what's up with that? i love that they updated the game and fixed some bugs - now the interest actually works. I play this game like every day, but the thing that bugs me is the cheater High Scores that are impossible to achieve - 2 billion points, really? please fix that or remove it completely.

I think this is one of the best games in the app store. If ur going to get a game, get this one. This game may be hard (in medium but easy on easy) but having prior experience with this game on the Internet, I already knew what it was about. I beat this game by building many towers but seldom upgrading (only when needed). I also always upgraded to more interest until the last levels, where I got the storm tower. .

This game is put together very well. Good: -It's Free. -Very nice defending game. -Good graphics (though some would say it lacks them). -Hard is challenging, while easy is quite simple (if you know how to save you money). -Love the last level. -Awsome theme. -The update fixed some of the problems. Lacking/Problem: -Should have more maps. Only has three (one each for easy, medium, and hard). -Needs more sound effects, and maybe some music (with options to turn them on/off). -The update made the earthquake tower worthless, and the upgraded ice tower should not have been changed so that it's slow is not nearly as effective (used to be 90%, now it's 70%) I am looking forword to an another update! Thanks again.

Fantastic Game - no bugs or other reported glitches in my experience.

This is the best Tower Defense app I've played thus far (against Crystal Defenders, the Creeps, Zombie Attack, and a couple others I can't remember), it being free just tops it all off. The balance between waves and your towers/upgrades is perfect. I love that you get interest on your saved gold - this adds a whole other dimension to the game as it makes building as slowly and efficiently as possible virtuous. Those who reported not being able to get past level 30 should consider using the storm tower (takes % of enemy life, not a specific damage). Not being able to pass level 30 is NOT AN UPDATE PROBLEM (I played before and after the update). Level 30 is just when you have to face two bosses at once, so the storm tower rocks them way faster than anything else does. This should demonstrate some of the strategy required to really beat this game. I've beaten hard now and am working on the challeneges (ten towers only!, sudden death (start with 1 life), etc) and the more you play the more you realize how essential every tower is to beat the game (at least at these very difficult levels which I haven't even come within 10 levels of beating). Other points: I have not experienced the interest rate problem, possible user error? Interest rate upgrade requires TWO bonus halos (what you also buy towers with), not one like most towers. The earthquake tower is mostly useless (i.e. you can easily beat the normal game without ever using it), but it is not non-effective (it's the most powerful tower in the game). I'm guessing there's no way to beat the 10 Towers challenege without having the single massive range, massive 2000 points damage earthquake tower (opposed to the 100 pts dmg from other towers). So yeah, there is actually a purpose for everything in this game giving it an incredible harmony. And it's FREE! Highly recommended. I've spent more hours on this game than any of my other apps (and I have all 9 of my iPod pages full of apps).

I'm not sure why there are any bad reviews about this game.. I think there prob. the type of person that goes through there life looking for something bad in everything and in everybody or Prob. just game snobs too, If it's not auto theft or the new war game for xbox or play staion.. These people will find something to complain about. So with that said.. The game is cool.. Yes there are adds from time to time at the bottom.. But they don't get In the way and sometime you don't really even notice them.. It's a simple game yet takes alittle thought, witch is what u want when u grab ur iPhone to play a game (to kill time, to just zone out, to find some peace away from your girlfriend) If you like collecting games for your phone go ahead and snag it.. I think it's Worth the space.. If you don't like it.. Deleat it... It's not a dumb game like some are saying..

This is the best FREE Tower defense app out there. This may be biased as I haven't played the other TD's but hell this is fun! My only concern is the difficulty. I have never gotten past 30 because the monsters seem to be overpowered. I had ALL my lives until level 30, when the monsters simply didnt die(some were at 100 health..but it was too late). My friends who have the app also agree(they passed 1 or 2 higher but were stumped) Keep in mind this is EASY mode too. Overall, this is an awesome app. The recent update really helped(Hp bars means I wont have to select the monster). I hope that the difficulty will be less challenging(or progressively challenging, not just instantly). 5/5

Probably one of the best games I have on my iphone 3g! I could not stop playing it. I had to re-charge my phone 3 times just to continue where I left off. I finally beat it on easy after I got to know the game better. I do want to see more maps or maps to choose from. There are 3 different typs of maps, but they only change when you choose a different difficulty. There are also challenges that are preset already to try. Other then that, have fun!

The trick for easy and medium is to only build level 1 arrow towers. Spread them out at first from he'll to heaven then start to pack them in. You should have more than half your map filled by level 15. Your first four halos all go to interest, then ice, then storm. Spread out four ice towers and slowly upgrade all your arrow towers to level three. Around level 27 you should start building storm towers. Spread them out then upgrade them. Gaining interest on your gold is the key!!

*Cheat code: Freeze enemy in place* First set up several ice towers and some arrow towers. Then once all the mobs have spawned. Close the game by hitting the home screen button on your iPhone or iThouch. Then, reload the game, once the game starts, any mob that gets hit by an ice tower will get frozen in place. I'm sure this is a bug and may be fixxed soon, so enjoy it while you can. // MIke // Deactive.com //

I absolutly love this game. But when you get a Halo, I think that you should have a choice to either Research Health, Health would add i life to your Health Count. And Also i think that you should be able to buy Money with Halo's. When Im playing Credit Crisis, i would love to be able to use an extra Halo (since by the end of the game you usually have 3 extra) to buy maybe 500 Gold. Therefore you can get some more gold to help defend.
Those are my thoughts. But the game is amazing. And let's make more towers, I really like them. How about making a range booster tower.

Fun... Quit freaking complaining!

Those "suspicious offers" r the reason this game is free. Advertisements. Also u don't HAVE to get the new towers. They changed the game in no way AT ALL. It's the same game. I don't see why Youd delete it just cause u can't get a new tower. Also- how r people getting those super high scores in the millions? My highest score is 90,000. And I had all my lives left and 300,000 gold. I don't get it.

This is one of the best iPhone games there is. It is by far the best tower defense game for the iPhone that I have seen. This app is worth paying money for, yet the awesome developer lets us play for free! Tower Defense has great replay value, especially with the new challenge levels that the developer has added with the latest update. I highly recommend this game and thank the developers for making such a fun and great game.

Only put towers when you really need them (arrows). Make one tower level three before you add another one. With the first 2 halos get interest rate. With the next 2 halos get interest rate again. Then with 2more halos get earthquake tower. If you've been saving your gold properly you'll have enough to upgrade it to level 3. The monsters will not get past a level 3 earthquake. But for level 43 buy as many level 3 storms as you can.

Worth the time to DL-free? Awesome

Passed all 3 levels (got frustrating at timestho, lol) I got so hooked I made a table of best value of damage per $. Use arrows range and put them in position to cover the most areas. Ice on the inner corners and bombs diagonally behind them for coverage. Sell arrows for magic when you get more $. Upgrade storm to 3 and place near ice at the beginning of paths-reduces more damage that way. Best values- arrows 1 and3, bombs1 and3, ice123, magic3, storm3. Get by the lower levels with arrows and bombs, and later ice. Save your money and it will grow with interest to afford magic and storm. Water is a waste/ice is more effective. Earthquake is too expensive pre-update, haven't used it after update. Fun game guys, nice work

This is easily my favorite app - it's a great way to pass the time and is pretty fun once you figure out the trick to dominating the game. And I'm laughing at all you people whining about how it's too hard, or impossible, or my favorite, that you can't 'cheat' anymore. The game is far from impossible, as I've beaten it on both Easy and Medium multiple times, and am still working on beating Hard.
I love the special 'monsters' on Level 43 - it's a nice touch, gave me a good chuckle.

Fix Level 29/30!!!!!

This game is awsome.......until you hit level 29 or 30. I havent passed level 30 yet. One time I was playing and I had 16 men left, well when I got up to 30 all of them died!!!!! and its the little fast buggers that usually die with like 3 shots with cannon!. The Game goes extremely hard when you hit 30, level 27 is really easy but it sky rockets the difficulty, you should make the game easier until level 40 or something? and whats up with the update and lose your high scores thing? lost my high scores :(

First of all I need to address some of the monumentally stupid comments that are directly below this one. No, this app isn't spyware. Spyware isn't even possible on the appstore platform period - apple would be responsible if it were. It's a bug that the app occasionally repeats asking for your location, it's for a website high-score tie-in feature and it is well documented - someone just doesn't know how to read. Also about the battery life, yes any game that uses as much CPU resources as this one will drain battery life. Fieldrunners drains about the same rate as far as I can tell... But your comment about the "drive" spinning is utterly retarded - iPhones nor iPod touches don't have moving parts, they use flash memory. Honestly, I'm not sure the review system on here works all that well, because people don't know what they are talking about half the time, and there are people stupid enough to believe them. Anyway the game needs an update, more maps would be great, perhaps additional enemies and some UI tweaks but this game is excellent, I prefer the formula here to fieldrunners or anything else in the TD arena on iPhone much more, and it's FREE. I'll be watching this dev with great interest.

Brilliantly fun & addictive!!

This game is absolutely brilliant, specially for FREE! It is both fun and challenging. You'll have to play it many a time to find the best combinations of towers and upgrades to get through all 42 levels. The one problem with it is that when you have a lot of towers shooting a lot of enemies at the same time the framerate drops quite a bit and slows everything down. If an update can increase the framerate it will be even more of a blast to play. Add some more areas, enemies, towers and levels please!!

Fantastic application. Gameplay is smooth and to the point. Doesn't lag, Graphics are nice and not over the top, Features are great. Would love more maps, and more enemies. A better description of each tower and it's upgrades would be nice too.
Something i've found a problme with however, is that the intrest rate upgrades don't seem to work. I tried upgrading from 10 to 15, then 15 to 20 on two seperate occasions and it remained at %10.
