Reviews:
Really nice improvement on the first By: CeruleanSerpent - Dec 11, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 While this game is quite similar to the first (and if you liked the first, this one is a no brainer) there are definite improvements. The new game modes keep things fresh, and the graphics really are nice. Like others said, with the current number of levels, it won't keep you busy for long (unless you enjoy creating your own levels with the level editor) but they did promise more levels soon. All in all, it's a nice little puzzle game.
Great App, just need a few more things! By: dat908kiid - Dec 7, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 Pros: Great graphics with Retina display. Game center integration with 21 achievements. Great gameplay with two new game modes, Love & Altar. They still have the amazing, yet addictive classic mode. Fun Level Editor where you can create and test your own levels.Cons: Only comes with about 100 levels. Finished all of them in about 30 minutes. (They said more levels are on the way but until then, I'm leaving this up as a con)Only playable in landscape. Suggestions: They should allow us to share our created levels with our friends and let them play it on their iDevice and rate it.I encourage anyone who had Tiki Totems Premium to buy this app. This is the type of App that all IPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users should have on their device.
Just as good as the original! By: TeutoniK - Dec 21, 2010 Version: 1.1.0 I had played the original Tiki Totems before I bought and played Tiki Totems 2. Overall, the app is just as good as the first and has many challenging levels that offer hours of gameplay. This version is updated and even includes a level editor to make your own levels which is nice if you like making levels and stumping your friends and coworkers. The game is really fun and looks great even if you do not have a retina display.
More Tiki Totems! By: DR06 - Dec 20, 2010 Version: 1.1.0 If you want my opinion, the best kind of games for the iPhone/iTouch are the puzzle games. No fake analog sticks to deal with, no motion control just one swipe or one press. The nature of a puzzle game is that you can have great control and still have some great challenge on an iDevice. This is another classic example. Just remove all the blocks you can without letting the totem touch the ground. It starts out with this simple concept and goes much further over the course of the game with magic blocks, glass blocks, bombs and blocks that make the totem bounce. Fun and addictive thats more than you could ask for just 99 cents. Buy it!
Saving Private Tiki By: Brain.Chan - Dec 12, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 The Game reminds me of Saving Private Sheep, so if you liked this game, you will like Tiki Totems, too. Although I have to say that it is more logical to save a god like artifact than a sheep. The graphics are really nice and so are the sounds. People complain about the just 100 levels but there is a level editor, so there will be hopefully user generated levels, not sure though yet how/if they will be available. All in all a really nice physic puzzle game.
Level Editor!!! By: Resen7 - Dec 19, 2010 Version: 1.1.0 This type of game genre is well executed in this app and is very fun. The story is a bonus. It is definitely better than the first one. Not to mention the level editor!! Pretty much expands this game to whole new levels. If level sharing is allowed (which I have not checked), then this game would be a lot more valuable. Not to say it's not worth the 99 cents. Its well worth that and more with spokko's promise of future updates. Thanx!-Resen7
Addictive physics game By: DrMonkeyDude - Dec 19, 2010 Version: 1.1.0 If you loved the first Tiki Totems or any other puzzle game that uses physics, then you'll love this. The game offer many different levels to play from, with more to come in upcoming updates. The game is improved with a new level editing mode, so even if you've finished all the levels, you can go and make your own! There are many new power ups, such as the bomb, and many returning blocks like the bouncy block and the glass block. Like the first one, this game is addicting. I really recommend it.
Two Steps Forward, One Back By: MariusMasalar - 19-Dec-2010 Version: 1.1.0 First off, hats off to an excellent sequel. The gameplay is as good as ever, with the additional advantage of two new (for now) modes that are just as satisfying. The presentation is great, especially loving the new music and icon here, but the new graphics style for the background and such feels somehow less appealing.Still, a fun and worthy successor to one of the App Store's better puzzle games. More levels, please! :)
A great sequel to the original By: Pepsisi441 - Dec 12, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 I played the original and enjoyed it immensely. When I found out that there was a sequel available, I immediately got it. It keeps the same basic idea of the original, but adds a simple story line and a few new ideas. I appreciate that the developers did not make any radical changes to the game; sequels often fall short of the original. The graphics got a slight update, but it is not drastic (a good thing). In all, if you liked the first game, I highly recommend Tiki Totems 2!
More of the same fun... and even a little better... By: Ig00 - Dec 11, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 While the graphics, physics, and gameplay are still great... and even a bit better that the original. The difficulty is still too easy and the included levels are too few. And while the introduction of the editor speaks to a lot more levels coming soon (with questionable quality)... as it stands, this is a 4 with a few tweaks away from a 5.If you loved the original, this is a no-brainer at $0.99. If you went "meh" at the original, this will not convert you to a fan.

alot better than the 1st one! By: Starscream1017 - Dec 11, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 the first 1 was good, in this they have made a few changes that make it alot better. But its too short,i finished it in around 2 hrs, hope the new lvls come soon, its got 21 achievements so far, all very easy to unlock.. If u liked the first 1 then get this, u wont be dissapointed. there are 2 new fun modes- a love mode & an altar mode- both are alot of fun.. and imo better than the clasic mode, there is also an editor mode- but i havnt really checked that out yet.. thats where you make your own stages, but currently this is no way for others to play it.. that would be an amazing addition if others could play your levels.. overall its a great game though & i had alot of fun playing it..
Nice By: Jonathan F - Dec 15, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 I was pleasantly surprised by how good this app is. I've been a very frugal spender in the app store, but I feel like my money was put to good use here.Pros:+ Some levels really get you thinking (while it seems like pure luck on others).+ Visually smooth+ Easy to navigate (although the level restart button could be a tiny bit bigger).+ The updates will be free. I hate hate HATE having to pay for extra content from within the game.Cons:- You shouldn't have to destroy every destroyable block to continue. If the Tiki has settled on a ground-floor stone, it shouldn't matter if there are other blocks remaining. Destroying all the blocks would be better as a challenge-mode feature.- Needs more levels. I hope their updates aren't too rare.- It seems like the friction levels are incorrect sometimes.Note to the developers: it would be nice to have more than one theme. Take Tiki around the world - what if he had Egyptian levels? If you lose, an angry Pharoah's ghost could take the place of the volcano, and you could change the blocks to match the setting (e.g. stone blocks turn yellow, blue matching-up blocks get hieroglyphs, etc). Of course, that's only a single idea - there are plenty of other ways to expand on what you've got.
Fun gravity app By: htp24 - Dec 21, 2010 Version: 1.1.0 The basic premise is that you are trying to bring the totems to ground level while preventing them from falling off of their stone base. Great pick up and play fun, though it trends on the easy side. There aren't multiple ways to solve a level and there sadly isn't a great deal of variation - to compensate for this, the devs added a level editor. Updates are promised and are hopefully on the horizon. Finally, as an added bonus you can torch those pesky tribesman with your finger of flame without penalty. Great fun!
Addicting and simple gameplay takes another poor soul By: wooky - Dec 13, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 Pros:Simple gameplay that is easy to get used to.Addicting.Solid gameplay that contains little flaws in controlsLets you burn the little masks that run around :-)Cons:Too simpleThe classic and altar modes are pretty much the same thingNeeds variationNo replay valueThe game has easy controls and allows you to entertain yourself for a little while, however, once you compleate all the levels, which happens pretty fast, there isnt really anything else to do with the app. that being said, it provides a very simple pick up and play feel and i would recomend it to someone just looking for a game to goof around on. 4 stars, with 1 being lost to an absence of replay value and more challenging puzzles.Good work!
First Tiki was my fav puzzler By: S7yx - Version: I don't generally like puzzle games, but I liked Tiki Totems. This one has better graphics and all that, but somehow I still like the more simplistic style and play of the first one. Don't get me wrong, this one's great too and hopefully will have loads of new levels with the included editor. The first one didn't add all that many levels, which I would've preferred, especially since they kept saying they would.
Very amusing for a while By: speed_pour - Dec 12, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 It's similar to a few other games I've played on the app store (a fair number of which are free), but it's fun and cute. Like many other commenters, I don't believe there are enough levels in this version, but the promise of follow-up levels should fix that. The graphics and animations are good and I like the music and sound effects for a game of this type. Also a very nice improvement over the previous version. I would really like to see them make the main menu more attractive, it looks like it was put together at the last minute.
Need more levels !! By: Jellyfish703 - Dec-2010 Version: 10 Well I had the first game a great game if I may say so I bougt the second a little bit of a let down. 100 levels sounds a lot but it really is'ent because you can complete them in under 2 - 3 minute's and the really easy one in under 1 so 100 levels can be completed in under and hour yes great game but just need few more levels like 20 medium and like 10 hard 1. No doubt it they will have more levels but for the 59p price tag it's a must have.
Tiki Totems 2, the god couldn't be happier! By: DisOwnag3 - Version: I have to say that Spokko does it again, if you have played the first game and liked that then you will be sucked in by the sequel too! They have re-designed all the blocks and the tiki totem itself and given it a new look that I say is very fantastic. The game is not that hard but it will challange you so it will feel good to complete a track. A new addition is that you can make your own tracks and share them, that is very fun toy to pkay with. What I didn't find is where you play other peoples custom-made tracks. If you are looking for a epic story than this is not where you should search. The story us very thin and is not deep. Some new powers could have been fun too, like slow-motion to make the tiki totem fall slower or the blocks. But all in all is Tiki Totems 2 a very good game. But some more new things wouldn't have hurt. 4/5
A Well Done Sequel By: Jcvela - Dec 12, 2010 Version: 1.0.0 If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. It's that simple. The inclusion of new game modes was not something I expected, and they all feel like a twist on the old formula, which is good. They serve to add some much needed variety to the puzzles. The Level editor is cool too, although the ability to share levels somehow would be nice. Getting one user made level daily would be a nice approach.
Pretty good. By: frogzilla213 - Version: Like the title says, it's pretty good. Not the best, but I haven't been able to stop playing it. Some things that aren't so great, it appears very cheaply made compared to the other one from a graphics standpoint. Some parts aren't up to par. Another thing is is that the levels are incredibly easy. I'm over halfway done in about an hour of playing it. The other I had for days before I beat it. Haven't had to redraft much. I do likethe different modes of play, though. Very creative. Overall, it's a pretty good app. I wouldn't recommend or everyone, but if this type of puzzle is your type of game, go for it.
