This is not your typical wrestling game... It's more of like an RPG kinda game that deals with wrestling... It's actually pretty addicting, as I've been playing it for a few hours now and have yet to complete my story mode... I could see myself playing it all over again to see how much of a heel I could be, since I'm currently more of a good guy now... A good buy for sure, especially of you're a TNA or wrestling fan!

A really fun combination of RPG and action features that isn't too challenging and is easy to pick up. Certain improvements can be made to smooth some of the rough edges (name length, limited editing capability, minor skip in the graphics in the opening screen) but overall a great opening effort, and the game that has kept my attention the longest so far of the dozens I've downloaded since getting my iPhone.

That said, I love this game. I read some reviews where they talked about how the game works. It's 1/2 wrestling and 1/2 role playing. The wrestling isn't just hitting buttons as fast as you can, it's more strategic than most fighting games. The other half of the game your character ,that you created, talks to other wrestlers and chicks. The personality of yer character is decided on how you talk to the other characters. My dude is 1/2 evil 1/2 good. I think most wrestling fans may have trouble with this game. "Me want hit button fast!, me watch nascar or larry cable guy instead" but those of you smart enough to know that wrestling is really just a soap opera for closeted homosexuals that get off watching beefy dudes grease up and cuddle will probably enjoy this game.

This is what I call a pure wrestling game! A game that is actually worth the money, even though I also like Legends Of Wrestlemania app. It's still a great game! But you might want to spice the control a little bit. Because when I tried to reverse an attack, I almost failed. Plus, add a bit more match types like cage and the X, more characters. And this game will be probably one of the best-selling apps if people love wrestling.

Its not that short if you make another wrestler and take another path to unlock all the wretlers
overall a game that had me going till i completed it
IMPROVEMNTS:
make it so it doesnt crash when the device locks or a message comes up
(and updates don't delete progress)
More wrestlers, like sharkboy
more clothes, like masks, and other wrestlers clothes
(and more faces they all look stupid)
(not sure if this already happens) your wrestler levels up in matches that arn't in story mode
online
that match type where you have to get the title hanging from the ropes
(and make sure the update doesnt delete progress)

Better than Raw vs Smackdown 2009!

Yes it is a very simplified version of a game but for a travel game on your phone for under £2 then this is everythng & more. The career mode is rewarding & compelling to play. All your favorites are in there (AJ, Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett) but you create your own wrestler, fight to prove yourself in single & tag team competitions, go for the titles, building the storylines on the way. You can play the crowd to get them on your side or be the bad guy, choose who to make friends & enemies with, its up to you. The career finishes after you win the World Title so you get the full season run. Don't except ultimate X, or Letal Lockdown matches but come on. If you like your wrestling then this is a great game. Cross the line & get it!

Although this is only a 2D wrestling game, it already blows the doors off of the recently released "WWE Legends of WrestleMania" game for the iPhone. What makes this particular game so amazing is that its both extremely immersive and an RPG title rolled up into one incredibly fun and innovative gaming experience. Unlike the cryptic controls of the WWE game, this title uses a series of buttons sensitive to the context of the action in the ring, followed by a set of gestures that roughly approximates the action your wrestler carries out, such as pressing two fingers on the screen to perform an eye gouge. Another fun element is that the game starts you out as a local amateur wrestler and follows you into a pro-wrestling career. From there, you can advance the story along by choosing different actions that will slowly make you a fan favorite hero, a hated heel or something in between. Perhaps the most interesting aspect is that you don't play the game as any of the big name wrestlers, but as a character you create who then faces off with the big name wrestlers, becoming increasingly more difficult the further in you go. This may have allowed the developers to take liberties with the game they otherwise might have overlooked to preserve the image and character of any wrestler's real world counterpart. This is definite must buy for fans of wrestling.

I am so happy my friend decided to buy this because I was on the fence and after playing it on his iPhone I am ashamed I ever thought about it twice. This is simply one of the best turn-based simple strategy games on any mobile device today. It really deserves 4 stars because there are some omissions like multi-player and some polish to the actual "combat"; but if you are a wrestling far or a TNA fan, and to some stretch an RPG fan (specifically when it comes to RPG's on mobile devices) then this game deserves the 5 stars for you!
-Highly recommended.

Longtail Studios has used the world of Total Nonstop Action to develop a well thought out turn-based strategy RPG that used touch controls just right. The simple 2D graphics are charming, the gameplay is superb and the writing is hilarious. There's also a ton of replayability here. Your decisions do change the storyline quite a bit and playing through with different signature moves, a different look, name and reactions will make a new game. Tournament mode is pretty fun even!

This is the first wrestling game avaliable on itouch/phone and I'm quite suprised that the wwe didn't make one first. But anyway, onto the game. Well the graphics.... Are pathetic really... And the lack of options when it comes to deciding alliances and enemies are pathetic as well: hmm who to hit with a chair? Sting or abyss? How about break it up and let them cool off? Yep this game is ridden with faults... AND I DONT BLOODY CARE!!!!!!! Because this game is phenomenal (pun intended) it is really crossing the line (pun intended again) in this type of game. The story is well built up as you work your way from a nobody to a master. At first I was sceptical of the turn based system but then I realized it wouldn't work any other way. If the wwe does finally decide to make a game for this format they'll have one hell of a game to make

This game is more fun than I expected it to be. It plays more like a role-playing or adventure game than an action game. I think it is a great idea and a good fit for the iPhone/iPod touch. The storyline is well done. If you are a real wrestling fan, I think you will appreciate how the plot develops and how the characters act. If you like TNA Wrestling and its personalities, you will have fun with this game.

A great game. $2.50 well spent. I would like more game types. eg. Six sides of steel, and more handicap,etc. I would also like more CAW outfits and wrestling moves. eg. Piledriver, Harracanranna, School Boy. The core feature is story. The plot may take a while, but you can always play Tournament. This game is so addicting. I played it from 6:00- 11:00. The same day I got this app and wrote the review. Very well five stars and worth the money!

-create your own character - not many choices to choose from beginning but they soon widen -matches - does get a bit repetitive but is still pretty cool -story - it's pretty long and I still haven't finished it yet! The way you get to choose how the story works out is pretty cool too In my opinion this is a great game! it has amused me for hours on end and I still havent got bored of it, definatly the best game on my iPone WELL WORTH BUYING :)

I downloaded Wwe legends horrible game. I was really hesitent when buying this cuz legends sucked so bad. Then I tryed the lite version and I was sold great options great story good gimmick matches (even had lumberjack match) and worth 2 bucks legends might have blocky 3d graphics but this game has crisp 16 bit graphics.a game that couldve been on SNES or genesis. I like WWE more than Tna but if I were to compare this to legends no question it would be this. But here are a few things that might make of better : add x divison guys like suicide,amazing red,the pope etc.also add more costume like a jacket. Also a bit more extended story after u beat the final guy(don't want to spoil anything) then maby a ladder match. Just a couple ideas and many add new finishers like the angle lock.great 5 star game worth 2 bucks.

I am an avid fan of wrestling and RPG's, And to date there has been nothing on the itunes store for either. Longtail has created the best mix of Both. The wrestling element is captured perfectly with the over the top story and fighting moves. While the RPG side is the most fun I've had in an RPG since Mass Effect on Xbox 360. If TNA made a 3D HD version for the consoles they would be getting critical acclaim. I highly recommend this game everyone. There are slight glitches at present but with the amount of enjoyment and the updates to come, I can see this game only getting better. 5 out 5, great work Longtail and Double J

I bought this game rather apprehensively as there were only 4 reviews but now i am so glad i did! I thought it would entertain me for maybe an hour or so but in fact it lasts HOURS. Great fun and lots of replay value, you can choose to be a good guy or bad guy and the one liners are really funny! A must buy! Also a very good if slightly stupid storyline but that doesnt detract from the fun. 
